Surprise, surprise what a clueless signing.
-
Would rather Noni in than Joao yes because he actually works off the ball. He isn’t starting material either I agree but doubt we will see Felix starting against any top teams anytime soon. And rightfully so.
-
Wonder how many folk will be posting Felix in their starting 11s after a good game against Noah’s Ark. Same as for the Newcastle game after Panathiniakos game… 🤣 Don’t want to see Enzo or Felix in the starting 11. Lavia-Caicedo and Palmer please.
-
Hopefully puts him in the shop window for some suckers to buy him.
-
Doing anything that makes him resemble a footballer a club would want to buy from us would be very useful. Surely, you’d like to think so anyway but depends on next games and if we go with Felix and Nkunku together behind the striker or Nkunku as a 9. Although if the other teams are going to give us as many easy goals as this mob, why not just go with the same line up? Think they are probably all going to be about this level - maybe an arrogant assumption - but don’t think anyone is expecting our B team to get beat by Heidenheim or Astana or Shamrock or whoever else is remaining.
-
Felix 4-0 🤣 Just need to see Mudryk score now
-
Can we play these every week?
-
Well its actually nice to see Maresca use him irrespective of the opposition or his quality. Sat there in pre-season saying he wouldn’t go on loan then hasn’t used him at all more or less in competitive games.
-
What the fucks the boy trying to mark him doing there 🤣 2-0 ah well that was amateur hour stuff. Keep going now don’t stop, real chance to get another 2 or 3 goals before HT. Even with Felix doing his best Torres impression and Mudryk being… well… Mudryk.
-
Fucking unbelievable they would get the first big chance and it would come from amateur defending from both Badiashile and Tosin 😂
-
Opinion: Chelsea should be all over Viktor Gyokeres pursuit
OneMoSalah replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
Good to see Simon Phillips is still on the whacky baccy. Saying £80m is beginning to look a bargain in way shape or form for a player we might buy, has he not seen our fucking big fee transfers and their overall contributions in recent times? 🤣 -
Personally think selling Enzo Fernandez wont be the end of the world. Particularly if we get a £75-85m deal for him, which is being reported. Technically could be a very good player but haven’t seen anywhere near enough, physically he looks miles off it and couldn’t care less if Madrid or Barcelona want him.
-
Was an upgrade on Gallagher if you believe half the folk on here. Absolutely mental he is honking…. Leicester probably wouldn’t take him back. For free. Maresca not even starting him regularly. His career highlight so far in his time here is nutmegging a farmer in the Conference League which the Chelsea social media account made a reel of… Waste of money should ship him out in the summer 👍
-
Yeah 100% re Nkunku. Been wanting him to start more often but has to do better tonight.
-
Wouldn’t buy into it under trophy winning manager in Simeone who demanded and got the same effort from World Cup winners etc, what chance has Maresca got? His performance tonight is exactly the reason why we shouldn’t have signed him. Loves affecting the game when its easy and there is no pressure but when it matters he is hopeless.
-
Not sure what you were expecting, or anyone else for that matter. Guy is the ultimate definition of a luxury player. Absolutely baffled we signed him.
-
Maybe but shouldn’t the priority when signing a player be that they envision them playing for us? But they did the same with Angelo too. Suppose Carney’s wages may be a stumbling block and may result in a lower fee. I mean I imagine the likes of Santos, Casadei, Ugochuwku, Guiu will all probably be expendable and go the same way also but again, the first thought when signing a player should be can they contribute on the field. Suppose we did this with Roman too with the loan army, so much for project 2030/being different than the previous regime eh?
-
Nkunku and Neto definitely should as they are better than Noni & Nico/whoever else in attack. Felix not so much. Newcastle is a tough team to play and can’t afford any passengers as it won’t be easy. When the game gets stretched, they start showing tired legs, more spaces appear, it is more ideal for Felix to come in. Really don’t see him becoming a permanent fixture outside of cup games anytime soon. Hasn’t exactly impressed, a goal against Wolves (one of the worst teams in PL by a mile so far), an assist vs Barrow & 2 goals v Panathinaikos…. what’s he done to deserve to start? Same with Mudryk. When your best game in a shirt is in the conference league, says its all. But again, Mudryk’s pace, late on in the game - ideal. Just a pity he often lacks the IQ and skill to do anything with it.
-
Well we are destined to be average forever then!
-
Because its relatively weak opposition.
-
Felix got 2 goals? Forgot he existed since the Wolves games.
-
Genuinely. What was the point in signing him?
-
Sanchez may be average/second choice quality but still the back 4 and team as a whole is conceding too many easy chances irrespective. As you said, Colwill was poor. He has struggled a lot of games since the start of last season in all honestly.
-
In all fairness, he has had some big saves this season. His distribution has been iffy though and also some moments for saves/crosses/set plays etc. Was clear we needed to upgrade this season, so clear, but Maresca, Winstanley & Stewart clearly think he is adequate to be the clubs number 1. Which is embarrassing. He wasn’t even Brighton’s number 1 when we signed him.
-
Even more concerning the other lad Jorgensen or whatever his name is isn’t getting a look in. Said it at the time, pointless signing. Direct upgrade on Sanchez was needed yet we were dicking around signing a number 2. I know Jackson scored and Noni had his moments but really, how many times is Maresca going to play Nkunku & Neto as subs? The guy is delusional if he thinks Nico & Noni are better than Nkunku and Neto. And Sancho showed today exactly why his career is where it is. Needs to improve against tougher opponents. Trent Alexander Arnold hardly spectacular defensively yet he made him look like fucking Cafu. James & Maresca banging drum about controlling the game & having possession post match. Who cares, you concede the penalties/goals the way we did you get what you deserve.
