For what he cost, wages, games he played, games he missed, long term injuries he has accumulated over this period time…. He has to go. We really do have to be ruthless. Like with Kante, Mount, Koulibaly, Werner, Sterling, even Gallagher. Various reasons for some of those guys but still, the same ruthless approach has to he considered. 70M and only 35 games or so over what 3 seasons? Hes now 24. Need to really take a look at it and think is he gonna be worth the hassle?

The last 3 games is enough evidence to prove that our league position prior to this was probably false and backs what Maresca was saying in response to competing for the title. Lots of work to do yet. I hope Maresca gives them a bollocking, not enough urgency at 1-0 down in the second half never mind at 2-0 down. Disasi, Tosin & Colwill should be embarrassed with how they did up against Liam Delap in particular too, aye hes a decent player but honestly its almost as if they made him look like Didier at his peak 😂 Not very often I will say this either but he should of took Palmer off at HT too. For whatever reason he struggled a lot. He has played a lot of games this year. I get why he didn’t because he can deliver some quality but he looked leggy out there.
-
Yep. He deserves a lot of credit this season but the last 2 or 3 games he has made some questionable decisions. Suppose he is still a relatively inexperienced manager. Disasi at RB & Felix at LW today. I think his reluctance to play Nkunku more often in the league has also been a reoccurring theme this season that is disappointing. Players have been pretty poor tonight though, even the guys going down feigning injuries etc, we are 2-0 down fucking get up and get on with it.
-
3 on 1 and he still got a shot off to win a corner. Fuck me.
-
Would imagine thats as good as Nkunku’s last game for us as well. Barely gets a chance in the league, gets one, plays as a striker and left winger before being hooked after 65 minutes.
-
Hope Tosin & Disasi never start with each other again, absolutely shocking for that goal. I mean Delap is a decent young player but Tosin has made him look like fucking prime Suarez backing off him at every opportunity. Utter shite.
-
Meh games this time of year are always a nightmare. Delap has Tosin on toast, he looks frightened of him every time the ball goes to him which is worrying. If we can get a good deal on a right footed CB in January, we should definitely do it, Tosin was never the answer long term. And if tonight is evidence of one thing, it is again that Felix has been an absolute waste of money. Said it the day he signed here, far too inconsistent and can’t rely on him when it matters. If he and Nkunku (should have been used more at times this first half of the season) ate to leave in January then that would definitely give us scope to sign another number 9, even with Jackson’s improvement this season. But again its hard to find an actual established number 9 for a good price at all, never mind in January.
-
Not seen many links yet but they will definitely happen given we did something similar with Sancho. But we need to avoid Rashford, like at all costs. The guy is a grade A fud.

What I don’t get is how these professional athletes who have access to incredible standards of medical/nutritional professionals at both club and international level, as well as probably their own teams that they have vetted, are getting caught out with these sort of things. Particularly when this isn’t a new banned substance, it is one that has been banned since 2015/2016. Surely they should be taking some sort of interest in what sort of medicines/nutrition they are consuming? Such as why are taking them, whether or not these may contain things that will run the risk of being deemed as doping, no? May be an innocent mistake by him, maybe he doesn’t know better but I don’t think its that simple, its got into his system somehow which means something isn’t right. Someone in his own team or someone at the club or national team has got to know how it got there. And the doping rules have been pretty clean on this substance since 2015, so it is reckless. I think he will get banned, fuck knows for how long and known us we will go to CAS, get it reduced but ultimately wouldn’t be surprised if it still ends up within that 12-18 month ban period - similarly to what Pogba got. I would say the club will support him but if he gets a 3 or 4 year ban whats the point? Not as if he’s put up any trees and the price tag and length of contract is the only thing that has kept him from being punted out the door as it is. I mean people wonder why folk stereotype footballers as thick cunts but its cases like this and Pogba’s which make you see why. I mean Pogba was on fucking synthetic testosterone.

Nah Lukaku still did more in a Chelsea shirt that first season back than Mudryk has. Both bad transfers. Irrespective of its illegal recreational drugs, PEDs, whatever, the signings been a disaster from day 1.
-
This transfer is just looking worse and worse for the club holy shit 🤣
-
I think someone like Milan Skriniar from PSG would be an attainable target in January. Hasn’t quite worked at Paris but a top player, experienced… definitely fits the bill. But hes 29, on a really good wage… probably too old and too much money for Clearlake’s policies.
-
Yes we won and the performance was good but we really need to replace or get rid of Sanchez & Tosin. They weren’t necessarily that bad today but can quite clearly see they aren’t at the level for where we aspire to be 👍
-
KDH shouldn’t ever of been signed and I would imagine Casadei is going to be sold off also barring some insane injury crisis or something - although there is a track record of Italian players who do seem to really develop a lot later on in their careers compared to other European countries. For the money it took to sign KDH and what we will get selling him, will be a loss. Carney bit different as he really needs to plays higher up in all reality but the signings of certain offensive players in the past 18 months and departure of Poch was really the beginning of the end for him. His wages will be an issue to shift. Santos looks like he has kicked on again finally getting some traction in France last season. It will be interesting to see if we bring him back in or loan him again. Or if the price is right as I would imagine teams may be tracking him also and the prospect of not playing regularly due to the likes of Moises, Romeo & Enzo may make him reconsider. Who knows? We look on track for top 4 which means CL and more quality opposition. I doubt we will be able to make 7-10 first 11 changes every game like with the conference for example because the likelihood is the level will be tougher and there will be matches we will play against bigger teams. Which means playing time will become scarcer for certain players.
-
Still think we will need someone who is more refined & a few years ahead to compete/share minutes with Jackson as a number 9. But this players probably going to be hard to find still. But if we do, I suppose it will raise questions regarding Nkunku then - although I think that one of the pair of Nkunku and Felix will in particular want to leave if they aren’t playing a lot in the next 6-12 months anyway.
-
Proper GK, CB and a CF and we are challenging for the league next season I think. Barring a catastrophic disaster. I know we are up there now but I think we are still short and the likes of Arsenal & City will go on a run to go neck and neck with Liverpool. But 2 or 3 good additions and with the manager at this rate, its all starting to look positive. I will admit, at first, Maresca looked like an iffy appointment. The way he has come in and treated the likes of Sterling, Chilwell, even Fernandez at times hasn’t gone unnoticed though - he’s taking no shit and it shows. Has been brutal in the right way which has sent a message. Still needing to cut out these silly goals/chances we have conceded but that will hopefully come with time. How the fuck Sanchez is still starting is beyond me though. Even if the other lad isn’t particularly an upgrade. An elite level GK is a must….
-
5-1, Gusto been a mixed bag tonight but brilliant there. Good finish Sancho. And typical Liverpool overturn it against the Geordies. Cunts
-
Noni what a finish. Lets get a few more now….
-
No? 😂 Once they get past the half way line - granted they have conceded about 300 goals trying to play out from the back this season - there seems to be a real difference in how quick they are getting to the ball compared to our guys. We really need a third goal. There will be more moments to do so though should probably be 4-1 already 😂
-
This is why we cannot afford to have players like Palmer, Felix and Fernandez all in the starting 11 at once against any team that are willing to keep the ball and not just sit in, far too passive and lack the intensity to get back in once they beat the initial press. Enzo back to looking like he is towing a caravan when he runs. Lucky as fuck they made their own error there.
-
Very alarming that Jorgensen was extremely busy tonight. No disrespect to Heidenheim but wow. And thats with players like Disasi, Tosin, Badiashile and Veiga (was getting a rave review everytime he played so far) in our backline. Which makes me wonder is it tactical issues or individual quality or both? I mean Disasi & Tosin are average beyond belief but Badiashile & Veiga aren’t that poor. Outside of the defence, Mudryk (good finish but pretty poor throughout) & KDH again showing why aren’t and never will be Chelsea level players also. Clear lack of quality and thats playing at this level. Felix again frustrating, lack of killer instinct and as most of us expected when signed him (& Sancho too) real lack of intensity without the ball.
-
Tbf different situations entirely. Kante started getting a lot of injuries at the end of his career - after playing a tonne of minutes for seasons on end for both club & country. Not when starting/coming up to his best years and having struggled to play regularly for seasons on end.
-
Madrid looking for a RB, if TAA doesn’t go there should try and get a good fee for him off of them. Absolute liability.
-
Injured again. Hamstring. Absolute liability.
-
I thought people were skeptical of managers having as much control on players particularly after this ownership group and the Todd Boehly/Thomas Tuchel transfer window? Am pretty sure every coach since has had their influence on signings restricted to a degree. Probably consulted but doubtful they get final say. Another pointless signing though. To go with several pointless/underwhelming level of quality under the sporting director pairing. Disasi, Mudryk, KDH, Jorgensen, Washington, Tosin, Kellyman…. Just to name a few.
