Big improvement after making the subs at HT but he should’ve pulled Garnacho & Hato a lot earlier in the first half. I will say it though, this is a team in the bottom 3 and its taken 45 minutes plus 4 changes for us to assert some sort of control and show attacking ambition in the game. Which is abysmal. If we now go on and get a win, great but realistically nobody deserves any praise given how bad the first half was. Even with 2 of his subs scoring the manager is due 0 praise cause he started this carry on with that poor starting 11. Why do we always have to go behind to get a big reaction from the manager & players? Why don’t they start games from minute 1? Its amateur.

Just a reminder Delap, Garnacho & Gittens were supposed to fire us to competing for the title if you listened to some folk. They are a terrible front 3. Neto on now which is good but still was 25 minutes too late. Rosenoir no different to Maresca, 2-0, too easy. Hato all over the place.

Would make sense but then again, if Sarr is playing every week in France, why bother recalling him? Not expecting him to be as good as he was or even start every game but someone who can come in help us see games out and help rest Caicedo a bit more, why not? Fully agree. He has the past relationship with him, he also impressed a lot today. Gave us a much better structure than what we get when Fernandez plays deeper IMO.

I think a midfield signing would be 100% necessary if Essugo were to go on loan like initially reported. And if Essugo stays, I wouldn’t be against another player as well because we cannot just rely on only Caicedo, Fernandez, Santos & Essugo for various reasons. Essugo and Santos are still a bit green in terms of PL experience. Caicedo’s playing virtually every game. Fernandez’s position has changed 3 times already too so not sure where Rosenoir sees him used best. We need to stop using James & Gusto in there though. Not viable long term. Lavia is unreliable in terms of fitness and probably should be out the door in the summer.

Play like that against Napoli over there and it will be horrific. So many unnecessary backwards & sideways passes. Wins a win but yeah, again, this team going to Naples and Rosenoir up against Conte… it is going to be tough mentally & tactically. The crowd will be right up & hostile. Now if Diego Costa or Didier Drogba said that, I’d 100% believe it but a massive, massive concern to hear some young kid who’s done nothing of note in the game speak in that regard, particularly about something that has been a big issue for the team the past 2-3 seasons here. Wouldn’t be the same player? He should definitely try something different because he’s not exactly ripping it up. A very lucky boy to be playing for a club of this level so needs to drop that attitude & knuckle down as constantly getting avoidable yellow cards is going to just affect the team. I mean outwith picking up bookings what does he actually offer the team?

Brilliant. So nobody half decent over the age of 25 is coming in. Incase Achrampong, Sarr or Anselmino turn out to be the next Maldini. And will be the same for a good CF in the summer no doubt, incase they block Delaps pathway in the hope he can do something else at a high level other than pick up silly bookings. Or a good left back incase we block Hato’s pathway in the event he ever plays more than 1 game a month. Or a good winger incase we block Garnacho/Gittens pathway for when they become the truly elite wingers they’ll never ever be…. Etc etc. Hilarious. Caicedo is the only one who warrants one really. And aren’t all 3 of them on like 8 year contracts anyway? Can delay them for another 2-3 seasons 😂 This will be interesting now though in the summer. Particularly Fernandez given the recent links - will the club maybe cash in on him as opposed to renew? Strong position given he has about a life sentence left on his contract. I wouldn’t be happy either if I was playing with some of these so called top footballers we’ve assembled, given his ability. Or knew I had another 8 or 9 year contract with the direction this club is going. It will be frustrating for sure because the ambition on show & quality of recruitment isn’t particularly impressive. Throw in the turbulence around the managers & sporting directors also. That stuff gets to players also. Enzo Fernandez another apparently considering a change. Again not surprised, be the first of many potentially. Genuinely think unless there’s massive changes around the club, him & Moises will eventually up and leave. They’ll get offers from big clubs who are serious about winning trophies. Ok his performances need to improve & also his body language hasn’t been great but he’s been carrying this side for the best part of 2 seasons as it is. He’s still relatively young. As is Moises. Well, 3 points at least. Paper over the cracks for another few days. Seen a lot of people saying we are still suffering from “Marescaball” but Rosenoir is basically from the same mould as this is the direction the co sporting directors are wanting us to go in. Hincapie is more than likely signing for Arsenal in the summer, they’ve a £45m clause in the loan deal that they just need to trigger. Pains me to say it but why is any player leaving Arsenal to come to Chelsea at the moment? Senesi already been ruled out internally by BlueCo going by the information being put out there the last few days - probably a non starter anyway, hes 28… too old. Van der Ven is difficult because he plays at Spurs and they’ve never liked doing business with us. He is also a left footed central defender who’d expect to play every week & we already have Colwill who is no doubt going to be one of the first names on the team sheet when he is fit. The real issue isn’t just finding a top CB, its finding a top CB to partner Colwill. Then keeping Levi fit. If it was anyone from Spurs it would have to be Cristian Romero but doubtful we’d go for him. Again, too old. Ordonez another unproven player with minimal experience at a competitive level but has “potential”. Be good in 2030!! The next 2 CBs we sign realistically cannot be in this mould & we should get rid of at least 2 from Fofana, Badiashile & Tosin. Trevor may go as well who knows, but for me he would be a solid enough squad player. Yes looks like Marmoush is going strangely enough, not sure what happened he doesn’t look the same player he did in that initial 6 months. Cherki’s maybe not been a regular but his contribution in limited mins are pretty incredible - basically a goal or assist every 80 minutes. Not to mention, he missed 8 or 9 games for club & country due to injury from October so no doubt would’ve been more minutes. Not sure where you’re getting your info on Reijnders, he has been a regular starter since going there. 12 goal contributions from midfield in his first 6 months at City also, think he’s started effectively 75% of their games.

Still in terms of the level of player and ability, its not exactly bad business. Compared to what we’ve signed for £2.5 billion for instance (a lot are “investments” as Boehly put it - that we will likely never see a return on in terms of getting our money’s worth ability wise). And you’re saying average or not first team regulars. Reijnders, Cherki, Marmoush, Semenyo, Guehi… probably all comfortably good enough for our starting 11 or would be very good options off the bench (better than what we’ve got on the bench anyway). If we get a better CB at 70-80m than Guehi, we’d be doing well. It will be another u23 player, like Badiashile, like Fofana - who may be lower wages but no doubt will be a £50m upwards fee and a gamble. And one where not every top club is vying for because, we frankly do not have that pulling power & a wage structure thats going to hamper us. You mentioned Murillo. Has 3 full seasons in the PL when this season ends, current contract to 2029, already links with multiple suitors in the PL (United, Liverpool, us going from what I’ve seen) as well as Real Madrid who were linked last summer IIRC. All likelihood thats going to be another £75m+ transfer fee, then again you’ve got wages… what will it be then if all those clubs are in the mix? Oh we can’t compete with Madrid, United, Liverpool, whomever wage wise so wait and move onto the next big one the next summer? Do the same again? The top teams are buying when they’re strong. How many CBs have City signed in the past 3 windows for instance. Also Arsenal.

Donnarumma & Guehi both 24-27 years old, lot of experience at the top level in the PL & internationally….. £55 million in total 🙄 Yet people still here questioning why we will never compete with the likes of City under BlueCo. Donnarumma, Semenyo & Guehi definitely not average. £120m in total fees. And who is the better CBs we will sign at this value? Wages are wages but no doubt we’d of gotten some wiggle room. Even £200-250k. Players aren’t daft.

Could be the difference for City in really piling the pressure on Arsenal for the title too. They stop shipping goals and they’ve got enough fire power to claw back that gap IMO. £30m…. madness. We are never going to be a top team without the addition of top experienced players to bridge the gap. Been banging on about it since the first summer these went berserk for young players only after losing players like Rudiger, Jorginho, Kovacic, Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva etc all in a relatively short period. Finally people seeing it though and not just believing that because they’ve spent money on 50+ young players, that they are actually wanting to be successful sporting wise. It is clearly a business model & the goal is to be very successful on that side of it in the relatively short to medium term. Don’t know how it’s taken so many so long as well, genuinely baffling. If they were serious they would’ve actually tried to compete for the likes of Donnarumma, Guehi & Semenyo. May not have gotten them but actually tried to at least make a compelling argument and show they aren’t just in for making a profit. BlueCo out 👍

Semenyo, Rudiger, Senesi…. Never ever realistically were going to or will happen. Same with Guehi which is near embarrassing given this whole right opportunity bullshit they spewed out to whoever those journalist lads were. It will be more u23 players. Don’t get your hopes up. Rosenoir isn’t going to be the guy who forces these to change their plan, even if he is apparently getting a say in whether we go for Anderson, Wharton or Mainoo. He will want one of the first two probably but he will more than likely end up with Mainoo. We are the only PL club with a reasonably well noted interest…. look at the Garnacho saga. Didn’t take long.

Should be the first midfielder to go this summer. Then if we get our money back or more for Fernandez, him as well. Not physically or positionally good enough, technically as good as they come, goal contributions have been good the last 18 months but it’s like playing with 10 men without the ball. Every time. As someone said, he’s decent but thats about it. Still couldn’t tell you if he‘s a 6, 8 or 10. Slower league he would maybe look like a world beater but again, the athleticism and pace coming back into football, I don’t know you’d just run off him for fun because he has no chance in hell of catching you. Also if he is considering his future like being reported, then just do it because for £106m he really hasn’t been value for money as such. Club is in a strong position with the 18 year contract/ whatever he’s on too. Last season was his best season for us but still asking the same questions which says that he isn’t likely going to become this all round world class midfield dynamo he was prophesied to be by many after 6 months at Benfica and 1 World Cup. PSG links are strange though, don’t see why they would want him when they have Vitinha, Joao Neves, Fabian Ruiz, Senny Mayulu, Zaire-Emery already?

Another stupid signing then but good job we are cutting the loan short & he is going to play elsewhere. Makes no sense for a 20/21 year old loan signing to sit on the bench & rarely play at any level. Wonder what crackpot reasoning was behind the initial move then?

Maybe they make a slight difference but again, I think you see the uncertainty and lack of compactness in the team still. Easy to play through our press at times. The passing out will give me nightmares also. Application was a lot better though in the second half particularly but again, goals are basic & poor individual errors. But I think Rosenoir didn’t shy in changing it up in the second half pushing the wingers a lot higher to try get at White & Timber. But again, he says he was happy with effort etc and not the goals we conceded… he has to get that sorted or he will be another casualty. But we need a top GK & top CBs as well as another top midfielder with a similar influence on the team as Moises gives. First half was too easy for Arsenal to get a foot hold in there, physically they were superior. Estevao was a one man army in the first half though. He does look like he will be carrying this mob in 2-3 years. For sure. Fucking autocorrect. Should say (well the B team) as in our B team due to some of the players missing 😂 Once we bring back Moises, Cole & James in yeah it could give us another level but those aren’t going to solve the same issues we had still had all season. Mainly because lack of quality in certain positions. Plus still needs to be improvements on the coaching side, Arsenal beat our press a good few times in the first half and it was far too easy. Because it was disjointed. Then throw in the goals - a corner, some individual errors…

Would imagine the co-sporting directors & owners will look at this game as a sign that we can compete with Arsenal (well their B team) but the standard of our defending has been absolutely abysmal. Again. Sanchez, Fofana, Tosin, Badiashile…. all signings in those positions that they’ve made.
