Yes, a fit Mikel starts over Romeu because of his expirience but let's not forget that the lad is just 20 years old and is an excellent prospect. If we plan on keeping him, we must give him more pitch time. As for the Barca game, I'd start both him and Mikel. We will need two holding midfielders if we are going to stop them from scoring, and with all honesty, I don't trust Essien in a game like this anymore.

Yup, he hasn't had his best season, but he's still easily in the top three keepers in the EPL.

^^ Swansea have been very unlucky as well on several occasions not to mention Krul made a few excellent saves.

Newcastle are currently cruising to a win at Swansea that would take them to 5th place above us. We really need to take this match by starting by getting a win against Wigan to get back 5th place for starters.

His miss was by far the worse, but everyone seemed to forget how to score on wednseday. Mata had at least two chances where he should've scored, Torres and Kalou as well.

He is doing his job perfectly in defending, but he can't organise the defense and midfield and bark orders at everyone like Terry does. It is very unlikely that we will ever get a captain like John, it's unfair to compare anyone to him.
