  1. Tactically they've made terrible choices which has made us look a bit better than we actually are. Obviously wingbacks and no striker is an odd one, but even the way they pushed both wingbacks so far up basically just gifted us the second goal because we were always going to get several 3vs3 situations. Now, I just hope we don't sit back too low and invite pressure needlessly. Just keep playing like we have been since the start of the match and they won't score, certainly not 2.
  2. Decent half considering how we've been playing this season. Don't think anyone has been particularly poor apart from Ramires. We've done really well in defense, but must keep our focus in the second. Can't afford any mistakes.
  3. No idea who that Porto number 5 is, but he's been by far our best player so far!
  4. I still want JT to actually play (ideally score in) and win a CL final No I was trying to say is that ideally we should not build decisions about management based on cups which are unpredictable. League goals are more achievable because over 15-20 games the anomalies are mostly smoothed out. I think it would be wiser to start making a decision on who should be in charge next season and start calmly planning our summer moves.
  5. But we didn't get RDM or Rafa to win the CL or EL respectively, did we? We brought them in because we wanted to secure top 4 which was still an option at the time. Hiddink was brought in because we could still have won the league.
  6. No guarantees things will improve instantly under a new manager. I think our chances are too slim to build any actions or expectations on.
  7. At the moment, I would genuinely fancy our chances more against a Bayern where we'd have to sit back a la 2012 than against a EL team. Not saying we can replicate 2012, but I think our chance of winning the EL where motivation would be considerably less are even worse. How about Ballet dancing then? I'd pay to see JT in a pink skirt
  8. Same reason why anyone would support almost any politician when almost all of them are their to advocate and preserve the concentrated private interests of the elite: an elitist hegemony on the media which invokes irrational responses from the masses through misinformation, deception and playing on emotions and instincts. On any account, in the US in particular, public opinion on such money related issues matters little as studies have shown that the attitudes of lowest 70% on the wealth scale have almost zero influence on official policies: http://wordsofdissent.com/chomsky-70-of-the-population-is-literally-disenfranchised/
  9. People, we just lost at home to Bournemouth. What on earth makes you think we have a realistic chance of winning the Europa League?!
  10. Well I have in the past been called a commie and a tree-huger (which is ridiculous because everyone knows that I HATE hugs)
  11. Really? Ummm money? Lots and lots of money to some of the people who own the country. It's really not at all complicated but rather very simple and straightforward.
  12. Yeah, but at least now we can condescendingly tell future Chelsea fans "Where were you when we were shit?!"
  13. Said this in post match thread, but we really are lucky to be in 14th. 15 points after 15 matches usually puts you in the bottom 3.
  14. Slightly at fault for the goal, but we would have been a couple down by HT if it weren't for him.
  15. My opinion has not changed since the new poll was put in place. I wanted him sacked in October when we could still make top 4 if we turn it around. But that has obviously been long gone so there is no point sacking him before the end of the season. If we are still in bottom 7 or 8 come Jan/Feb, then sack him to avoid a relegation battle.
  16. Probably the saddest part is that we're lucky to be in 14th. 15 points after 15 matches usually puts in the bottom 3, bottom 5 at most. Yeah, I think it would be a fun thing to say 20 years from now. "Hey, remember when we won the league then got relegated the season after?" On a serious note, as a Juve fan, I genuinely sort of enjoyed our season in the Serie B. It was a different experience. It also made the entire Juve fanbase a lot more down to earth, the later successes much sweeter, and our relations with the players who did stay and help the team very much different. But of course, relegation at Chelsea would be calamitous to the club's future and our chances of reaching successes after regaining promotion like Juve did would be VERY slim.
  17. Anyone else wants to see us relegated just for the laughs?
  18. How the hell does Robinho get on there? He looks sooo out of place!
  19. He looks a thousand times more Belgian than Arab!
  20. What's a few billion in public money and an increased risk of terrorist attacks in the country in comparison to all the profits and free advertisement that the weapons companies are going to get?!
