  1. Yeah, but we said that about Zouma last season.
  2. A player is considered homegrown by the FA if he spent at least 3 years between the age of 15 and 21 in an English or Welsh club.
  3. John Stones is much lower risk than Sterling.
  4. Well the solution is very simple: The talents should stop coming to Chelsea for money and possible glory. You're very quick to throw the moral responsibility on the clubs but forget that the players come here more than willingly and they do so out of greed. Simple as, really.
  5. Problem is that is the exact opposite 'philosophy' for youth development in England. It would be difficult to change it, imo.
  6. His second half of the season was better than the first but it was no where near great, apart from the Copa America. In fact, he was regularly losing a starting place for Pereyra who was better than him throughout the season. Even in the climax of Juve's season, the CL final, he was probably their worst player and should have been sent off. But like I said, if he can get back to his best, even his Copa America form, then 40m is a steal. But I genuinely doubt he would with Pep's Bayern.
  7. The fact that Chile won the Copa America probably doubled his fee. He had a terrible season with Juve. Still 40m is not at all a lot if they can get him back to his brilliant best, which I honestly doubt Pep would.
  8. No, I really honestly wouldn't. I've been in similar situations when I played basketball for my uni and a local club, and when you're really of the team, you don't think about for a second. You support your team and teammates wholeheartedly. He certainly has the talent, which means we should be much tougher to make sure that he also has the mentality and doesn't throw all the talent away.
  9. Regardless, that's how it would have come across. No, he doesn't 'have every right' to demand first team football, and neither do any of those youth players. None of them has actually done or accomplished anything in football. They all have EVERYTHING to prove. I have absolutely no idea what Musonda is like personally but what I've seen from him on social media is frankly not very encouraging, especially that he didn't learn the first time and acted childishly again by making those retweets today.
  10. Pep is sooo going to ruin him. Shame.
  11. That mentality does not belong in a team sport like football. Now put yourself in Brown's shoes and think how Musonda's posts would have made him feel and what tension that would have created between the two in the dressing room. Any youngster with the proper mentality to make it at the top level deals with the situation very simply: Encourage your friend who has been given the chance, try to be happy for him, work harder in training to get your own chance. Anything else means you're not ready to be anywhere near the first team.
  12. Ability alone is never enough. Josh McEachran is the biggest proof of that. If he doesn't get his attitude sorted out he won't amount to anything here or anywhere else.
  13. Just some childish social media messages whining why RLC and Brown were getting chances and not him. And he's gone and done it again indirectly now by with his retweets.
  14. Tevez was the best player in Italy last season and certainly one of the best the CL. Of course he'd be one of the first names in there.
  15. Regardless of Moses, his attitude has shown that mentally he's still far from ready to be given a chance in the first team. If he's going to act like child, then he will do preseason with the kids...
  16. Now just watch vids of Ramires to see everything Messi should be!
  17. He had an interview (no idea if they still had the same manager) and he talked about Piazon, PVA and Kalas and what he thought the plan for them is.
  18. Didn't he say the same about Piazon a couple years ago? I wouldn't take anything he says about what Chelsea and Jose are planing to do too seriously until I actually hear it from Jose himself. And that goes for Hughes regarding Moses as well.
  19. He doesn't. At least not now, imo. This whole Traore thing is made up and hyped up by fans. Don't think the club and management are even on the same page as the fans on this one.
  20. No. Where did I say that?! Simply, the best interest of Thibo, Hazard and Costa is to stay at Chelsea. None of them have anything to gain by leaving Chelsea, even to Madrid, Barca of Bayern where they won't be as influential as they are here. Also, there is literally no offer that Chelsea can't refuse. It's always a risk gain analysis. For example, there are nonoffers we can't refuse from utd for Hazard. No matter how high the number we will refuse. Same goes for a lot of big clubs hence why I thought your original suggestion that any player has a price is ridiculous. Even smaller clubs can refuse, remember Modric?
  21. Maybe, but not in Lebanon. Never heard of them.
  22. Because it was being misused by touts and scam artists.
  23. He can definitely have a role in the team and does provide something that none of our current AMs offer. Plus, he'd be invaluable when we finish third of our UCL group and get relegated to the EL!
