This is more or less what I expected. Half our players took no or little part of our last season, they need time to build chemistry. Not to mention PSG started their pre-season before we did and have played a match more than we have which is why we look off the pace compared to them.
I was watching on Chelsea TV today the 2007-2008 season review. I had almost forgotten just how good he was on the pitch. The work he did at the business end of the season after returning from injury was unbelievable. Carried the team on his back to challenge for the title and to the Moscow final
Yes, but I can give you a counter-example of a couple of areas here in Lebanon where everyone has guns and people get killed regularly in small personal fights.
I think their would be shootings and people getting killed right left and center. Guns would be too tempting to the human "dark" nature or as Freud called it the death instinct in humans.
Completely besides the point. The idea I was trying to convey is that, in football, you can't assess a player's level based solely on the silverware he wins.
It is less about why he did not start those games and more about why using the argument that Torres won those trophies to try to prove that he is back to his old self is invalid. By that logic, Kalou is very close to Torres's best as well
I have no idea about the other incident you are talking about, but I witnessed what happened with Kono so I thought I'd clear that up. Saying that Ron led him on to put him in more trouble is cynical imho.
