Exactly he is average, might make a good sub if a main defender gets injured, but he is by no means, in my opinion, good enough to be a regular CB at a club that has tittle and CL ambitions. Besides, everyone is so hyped about him that we would have to pay more for him than we would for a world-class defender like Hummels.

I think the problem is he was thrown too fast in first team football when he was not ready. I think he needs to play some time with the reserves before he can play for the first team even in the carling cup.

Make that one half against blackburn. Torres came on after halftime and he switched to the wing. But yeah, I totally agree, he deserves a chance more than Torres.

I meant in the new system adopted by AVB, except in corners, I don't remembering him ever covering for the center-halves or fullbacks. This was most evident in our game vs Aresnal. He did nothing wrong in the second goal in my opinion. Ramires gave away the unnecessary FK and Lukaku was marking (or rather not marking) kelly.

I agree with 90% of that. Unless he pulls off some amazing performances by Jan, torres has to go. He's had more chances than he should have imo.

The first thing we need to sort out is that every one on the pitch, lately, seems to be there because he has to, not because he wants to. In the carling match, except for Rayn and Oriol, no one was showing any remote interest in winning the match (To be fair Lukaku was trying, it's just he's not ready to play first team football yet). That is what worries me most with our current situation.

No more players in the making. Our problems are in the present not the future. We need ready-made players in Jan.

I've only watched Palermo four or five times this season and here's what I made of him: Positives: He is a young attacking midfielder. He has good pace and very good movement off the ball. Negatives: His finishing is ZERO! I think he's worth around 10m. 25m is ridiculous.

I don't see torres agreeing to a move to malaga since they are never in the CL. I mean isn't that why he joined us in the first place?
