Agree about pretty much everything in there. I think Lamps is probably playing his last season with us unfortunately. Don't think we can ever truly replace a central midfielder with one of the best assisting records and a scoring record that any striker in the world would be proud of.

Tactics count the most in games. Get your tactics right, and you're bound to win a few games. And try saving some sponsor money to buy players at the start of the season. You can find skilled players with good compatibility with your team for cheap if they are a bit old. Are you threatening me? Let me just say that I intend to end my season with a win.

I would agree completely if we were talking about a country like the UK. Can't say the same about the middle east, unfortunately. The society here and the ideology are not at all compatible with democracy. The opinion of the majority here is dictated by a few.

Absolutely not. The masses are very easily manipulated by the media exploiting their religious beliefs, tribal sense of belonging, society's "moral" pressure...etc Agree with the other part though. The "best interes" is completely relative.

I predict that we will park the bus for this one, get a decent result and everyone would be saying how we are going to win the league....up until our Wigan match, that is.
-
Agreed. If anything we're moving further and further away from any possible glimpse of hope. Our society is just hopeless. I think that is because we no one in the middle east has genuinely fought for freedom, they only fight the battles of international sides on middle eastern soil to enforce a tribal dominance of a certain group of people.

Although I agree, I must say that I thought we always looked more vulnerable when Oriol is playing. The reasons imo are first that Oriol lacks experience, and second, the rest of our team does not press the way Oriol does. High pressure is either a lethal weapon when done well by all the team or a disaster if even just one player doesn't press.

I'm sorry but what exactly is a number 8 and where on the field does a number 8 play?

Xpert 11 - are you up to the challenge?

Your players skill level increases or decreases at the end of the season depending on their development value which depends mainly on their average form and the games they've played as well as other factors such as age. 9 or less they decrease, 11 or more they increase and 10 could go either way. The player's form (their likeliness to do better or worse than their skill level) can improve with training or games; though it can even decrease with games. -
Not sure we can compare Oriol with Mikel. The two are like complete opposites. Mikel operates best in zonal marking and slow tempo while Oriol applies high pressure and quick short passing tempo.

Off topic: Wow, Dortmund with 3 goals in 3 mins! How I wish we would sign Lewandowisky.
-
I missed both the goals, thought the game started an hour later than it did Thanks anyways. EDIT: I'm reading on twitter that he assisted the first goal with a cross from the left wing.
-
Kevin involved in either of the goals?
-
How about we get rid of both?

I heard there is this great young Italian striker who did very well when given a chance last season. Borini was his name or something..
-
I bet Real can't loose 3-1 to Brighton either

Not an option. Any political change has to pass through the sect leaders and they definitely won't get rid of themselves. And the tribal mentality is buried in the Lebanese society. The people won't rebel against their leaders because they are convinced that their leader is protecting them from the other sects. If I am, for example, Shiite, I have to go to Hezboullah when I need a job, medical care..etc The people think that they can't get their basic rights unless they stick with their sect.

I like the spirit, but the boy seriously needs a reality check. He thinks we're the best team in Europe
-
Not necessarily. For example we had a perfect preseason last year and started awful while Mancity, I remember, had a bad preseason and they had the best start to a season in the PL history.

Might get another 10 mins or so.

The Politics in Lebanon are much much much more complicated than a simple google search my friend. I've been here all my life and I barely understand it. Our politics are plagued by the ongoing battle between the 17 religious sects. Everything in Lebanon is divided among the sects according to non written agreements. The parliament and all official occupations are divided equally between Muslims and Christians and the "share" of each of them is divided between the sects. Our president has to be Maroonian (a christian sect that is only found in Lebanon and Syria), the prime minister Sunni and the head of the parliament Shiite all according to some verbal agreement made 70 years ago. The "leaders" more or less appoint all those and make all the decisions which gives them unlimited powers. Each sect has been "protected" by a regional or international side since the early 18th century. For example, now, the Shiite are backed by Iran while the Sunni leader is protected by the US. Both countries hold the key to peace or war in the country. This has always been the case. It's just a way to use Lebanon as a pressure card on the opposite force in the region. The political system in Lebanon is, on the surface, democratic, but in reality it is one of the worst forms if dictatorial systems. Citizens have the ability to make a choice, but they just have one option to choose.

Bad mood for no apparent reason. Guess I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
