  1. I don't get what exactly the point is behind this post. Is there a specific valid point you would like to raise in this argument? If so, then please explain it so we can discuss it properly.
  2. Iva is probably our best "defender" (although Luiz can be world-class if he keeps his concentration for 90 mins) but what Terry offers other than defending is still enough to earn him a starting place, imo. In addition to the leadership and organizing skills that we seem to always suffer without, people underestimate the importance of Terry's distribution skills from the back which we have been missing the most during his absence, imo.
  3. By reasonable I meant that he would be a low-risk option because firstly his wages would be relatively low. Secondly, his teams are always organized and his style of play seems achievable here. He's done well with teams he coached that often over-achieve when he's around. His time at Madrid was corrupted by the club's politics.
  4. I think we will need to sign a squad player for this are in the summer for rotation purposes but I would much rather have a traditional winger over Isco to give us a more direct option.
  5. Completely agree that we should buy all the young talents that we can, but that should not cover for the lack of results in our academy. We should not expect every player to make, but we shouldn't also expect none of them to make it.
  6. Today's match should be entertaining to watch:
  7. The childish argument in the past couple pf pages aside, I honestly think utd have been far from impressive this season. More often than not they have been out-played in matches even against the likes of Reading and Southampton; in fact their best performance this season was probably against you lot. And while I admire their ability to get goals in any circumstance, I would not say they have been great this season nor the best team in England for that matter.
  8. Atm, the most likely option looks like Pellegrini which seems to me a surprisingly reasonable decision by the club.
  9. There has been so many articles in British newspapers about Frank's contract that they have all lost credibility.
  10. Not in the near future. Atm he is no where near being good enough for the starting XI of Real or Barca.
  11. Thanks, you just killed some of the pleasure of Cuban cigars
  12. Bring me back some cigar. My high-school geography teacher used to say the Cuban cigar tastes the best because Cuban women roll them on their thighs Have fun, mate.
  13. I gave you a like for the ava. What the heck is wrong with those people in that vid?
  14. Just finished Andre Sponville's "Little Book of Atheist Spirituality" which I found disappointing to say the least. Most of the arguments the author used seemed to be too subjective. He was basing his beliefs on what he wants rather than what seems most likely. It was also very self-contradictory. Some of the arguments Sponville used against God and traditional religion can be used against the "All" and mysticism he tries to advertise in this book. Anyways, onto "Stephen Hawkings - His Life and Work" by Kitty Ferguson. This is one I've been itching to read.
  15. Just don't concede. A clean sheet is vital to not complicate things and go through with the least possible effort. Mikel is a must start for this one. I expect something like: Cech Azpi-Luiz-JT-Bertrand Rami-Mikel Hazard-Oscar-Marin Torres
  16. He loves the FA cup doesn't he? Like mentioned above, he was rather poor but still managed to come up with two moments of brilliance. Amazing composure to pick up lamps on the third goal.
  17. Now I really want us to bear Boro. I bet the lads are up for this one after we were robbed at the bridge. Knocking the c**ts out of the FA cup would be perfect revenge.
  18. It's not just about the squad skill (though that really helps); tactics are just as important. I've had the worst squad in all of my 4 seasons in the PL but always manage to finish 3rd or fourth.
  19. JT post match: "The story in the paper today is lazy journalism. Rubbish."
  20. With the goal today, Frank becomes our all-time top scorer in the FA cup with 26 goals.
  21. Good to see Ba start, but was hoping that Lampard gets a rest.
  22. For some reason, I have a feeling this will be one of those matches. That is often the case when we underestimate the opponent.
