Because Mo knows better than to sign Meireles

What happened to the unbeatable rock at RB? All of a sudden he seems to have lost pace, determination and most importantly discipline. I hate to say this, but I'm starting to regret us not selling him to Madrid when they came knocking.

Where have I read the those posts before? That's right...I read them here last year. Lamps has been written off so many times it's actually funny. He'll prove everyone wrong gain with a dozen or so goals. What's new this time, is he wasn't anywhere near our worst performer the last match, guess we just need a scapegoat.
-
Exactly this. We're not like Arsenal who resigned Henry or worse like utd who brought Scholes from retirement (lol). He left at exactly the perfect time, a return would just ruin his image with the fans. I think it is either OM or the MLS for DD.

Don't think so either because Mourinho always gets his players to give 100%. The players, imo, share the blame for yesterday's embarrassment for showing absolutely no desire. Mourinho, however, does occasionally get his tactics wrong; a few matches against Barcelona in the past couple of years are prime example.
-
Big deal, he got his tactics wrong for one match! I was among the people saying that giving him a permanent deal is a huge risk by the board, and I still think so, but the overreaction here is just over the top. Even Mourinho get's it wrong every now and then.

Cheers mate, gonna watch that now instead of Twatenham EDIT: Sam was decent in the first half. Very solid though Forest dominated the match and rarely came under any pressure. He needs to join the attack more often imo. I don't know if it was the managers instructions, but he rare ventured closer than 30-40 meters from the opposition goal despite Forest dominating possession. Didn't do anything wrong or any thing spectacular for that matter.

Yup. Ankle injury unfortunately. Hope it's nothing serious.
-
It is possible, though there are probably some penalty to pay.
-
Problem is, we'll probably lose him quicker if we bring him back now. He won't get any playing chances and he will start resenting the club.
-
Let me remind everyone that we would have killed to have this squad last year. Since then, we have replaced Bos, with Azpi, Alex with Cahil, the likes of Kalou and Anelka with Hazard and Marin. I really don't see what the board can do more! We're a really hard bunch to please.
-
Disappointed he chose money over football. He is still a France international, he could have gone to a team where he can make genuine contributions.
-
Don't think we were ever interested in loaning him out. All media BS imho. Hoping he starts to get some minutes as CF not a winger.
-
Would've preferred we sold him, but I guess the board are still betting that there is a small chance he can regain some of his old self. BTW, are we or Madrid paying his wages?
-
No wonder he just won't go away! 92000 PW That's about 90000 more than he deserves!
-
I swear sometimes some people watch different games than I do! He was one our rare decent performers yesterday. Some of what he did, like when he managed to keep the ball between four Madrid players before getting past all of them, were just brilliant. MOTM for me.

Started for Boro today. Currently losing 2-1 to Millwall with 30mins to go. EDIT: Looks like he didn't have the best of games but he did play the full 90 mins: http://www.oneboro.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=4156&page=32

Glad the Bremen coach realized Kevin can't play as a false 9. Hopefully he can showcase his talents more in this familiar role.

Didn't really expect us to do any serious business yesterday, thankfully we did all the business we need early on. The board did a good job to get rid of Essien's wages, though I am a bit disappointed Malouda chose money over football. An excellent transfer window for us nonetheless.

Well it was truly a terrible game on our part, there's no denying that. However, I don't think it deserves all this somewhat of an over-analysis.The team never showed up to the game, the defense was having an awful match, RDM got his tactics completely wrong, and almost no one in the team showed any desire especially after the second goal. I'm just glad it didn't happen in something like a CL or important PL match. But at the end of the day, we got a couple of millions from the match, and no injuries. Would I have wanted us to win instead? Of course! But I honestly believe that the best we could do after a match like that is forget about it, move on, and try to compensate in the next match.

Thanks everyone, this really means a lot to me especially coming from fellow members. I'm just glad I could contribute to such a wonderful forum.
