Diseases were by far the leading cause but there were plenty of massacres. Even in the first few years after Colombus arrived. If I remember my Howard Zinn correctly it was something like 250,000 in the first 2 years (first voyage) and then up to 8 million people in the next 6 years (second and third voyage). That's genocidal. And let's not forget the millions who died from slavery in the mines or on the journey back to Europe to serve as slaves. As for north America, even the US has officially come to admit that what they did amounts to ethnic cleansing. Bottom line, however you want to define genocide, the crimes of colonialism be it in America or Africa are some of the worst in human history.

Careful, you can't post the full fixture list. The EPL has the copy rights for it and could sue the site.

I don't give a fuck if you 'buy' my ideas or not They're not MY ideas to begin with, I certainly didn't come up with them. Majority of people who know history and the middle east share those views. On Japanese 'jihad', meet Kozo Okamoto, a hero of anti-imperialist struggle. You won't like him much. Also, google 'The Japanese Red Army' because it would be nice if you had any idea about what you are talking about before making nonsense claims...

No, of course it doesn't have to consistent. The effects of imperialist crimes vary a lot and are affected by countless factors. That doesn't relieve the perpetrators of the crimes of the responsibility for the effects of their actions. What an incredibly simplistic way of thinking it would be to suggest otherwise! In the case of the native Americans, they were kind of affected by the fact that they almost fucking wiped out by genocidal maniacs from Europe who committed heinous crimes in the names of kings and churches. And shouldn't YOU be consistent? You say the problem is the religion, then how come that the overwhelming majority of the 1.6 Muslims on earth are peaceful? Are you imply that God was acting through Omar Mateen? But then, wouldn't you be opposing the will of God by criticizing the massacre and its perpetrator?! No, sorry, inciting violence is just as bad as carrying it out. Modern radical jihadism is first and foremost an anti-imperialist movement. Islam is just a tool; an incredibly powerful tool, but just a tool. It can be replaced by any other ideology, be it nationalism, communism, radical left...etc. In most of the middle east, the first post WW2 anti-imperialist movements were secular pan-Arabist and nationalist, the first 'terrorists' of the middle east. They were basically destroyed by the US with the help of....radical religious groups(not just Islamic, but Christian as well); an old trick that was frequently used by Britain and France when they believed they owned the region. And now you have 'radical Islam' as Trump wants to call it as if that changes any facts, and it's many folds more extremist and dangerous and keeps getting more with every intervention, invasion and bombing campaign. Until people start understanding those facts and forcing their governments to act accordingly, you can scream at the problem all you like and blame 'Islam' as if Islam is one easily defined thing with clear effects, but the problem is not going to go away.

You can say that again. “The tragedy is that more of them didn’t die,” Pastor Roger Jimenez told his Sacramento church Sunday morning, just hours after 49 people were killed in Orlando. “I’m kind of upset he didn’t finish the job — because these people are predators.” http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/california-pastor-celebrates-massacre-orlando-gay-club-article-1.2673335

No, sorry, but you don't get to pretend that you care about LGBT people when it fits your bigoted agenda and then discriminate against them for the rest of the year. I'm not biting... You think he got the violence from the religion? Ha! There are LITERALLY more than a mass shooting PER DAY on average in the US, mainly because of fanatics like you who refuse to accept gun control laws just so the NRA can keep making billions in profit. So, while you're playing your "my made up mythical bullshit is better than yours" game, explain to me how it was 'loving' of US Evangelical Christians to try to force a law onto Uganda making the death penalty the punishment for homosexuality there. Go on..

Yeah, I wasn't disagreeing with what you said, more adding to it. And they're still protecting the planners and funders of 9/11 by stopping the families of the victims from suing the Saudi royal family and making the investigation report public. And the media doesn't even question it!

He was born in the US, he IS part of the US. If you want to be cruel you can say that nothing would have made him more culturally uniform with the US culture than a mass shooting. It's not a clash of cultures, it's not even religious. It's a global trend towards militant extremism that is attracting people who have been oppressed and disenfranchised in their societies for all sorts of reason. It is Islamic extremism that in 2001 was a problem in a small area in Afghanistan and after 15 years of US 'war on terror' is now all over the world. Sigh...

On a serious note, I genuinely think the issue with mass shootings in the US is much deeper than just weapons. I know it's different here, but for example in Lebanon, there are weapons in almost every house (almost none of them legal, but that's besides the point) and I think in the 25 years since the civil war ended, we've had ONE mass shooting even though it is very easy to get hold of almost any weapon you fancy. That said, banning automatic weapons is OBVIOUSLY the easiest solution for the more than one mass shooting PER DAY in the US.

Guns don't kill people. People fire 50 bullets in the 20 seconds... There is literally NO reason for average people to own assault riffles other than weapons manufacturers wanting to make more money.

Then maybe bring the section to the top of the homepage, no one can see it buried in the 'Community'. Do I have to keep pointing out the obvious even after I left the staff? EDIT: If that does not work you can always start a 'Euro 16 Babes' thread. That always does the trick...
-
That was quick! Well done Jayjay
-
@Jason @Spike @Special Juan @Jim Will there not be a section for the Euro 16 like usually is the case? The forum has been a bit dead lately and a section like we used to have for Euros and WCs could liven up the place.

Agreed, and it always gets on my nerves when some say that he was a 'flop' here. What Crespo where you watching?!
-
I guess we should welcome him to the 'familia' then

Yeah, basically this. The burden is on Matic to stay here and fight and clear his image after the horror season he had. But if he wants to run away, we should NOT even consider selling to a rival.

Of course they won't 'leave' they'll have to be forced out and everything that stops people from getting involved in the democratic process should be eliminated or else you can't call it a democracy. Every single US presidential candidate for as long as I have followed politics (which is admittedly brief) has mobilized people only to halt that momentum the moment they win or drop out. That popular support and the organized masses are arguably more powerful than privileges of the president and certainly more likely to bring actual change. If anyone is going to break that 'rule' and try to utilize this support after the campaign is over it will probably be Sanders, imo.
