Hazard was practically the only player from both teams who was giving 100%. We lost the 3 points when Traore came off because we were basically playing with 10 men with Tammy on. Also, Matic's passing.....WHY would you not start RLC instead of him in a dead game like this I'll never understand..

That and for stuff like saying that Assange (allegedly) raping a sleeping woman is a matter of 'sexual etiquette' http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-19323783 Tbf, one of the main reasons I don't like Galloway is that he is absolutely loved here in Lebanon and I usually have issues with the general public opinion

To be completely honest, if Mikel starts at CB then I will mostly be watching this for the 26th minute walkout for JT and will probably go to sleep after the first half...
-
Yeah, that was pretty epic. But he's also made some incredibly stupid comments in his time such as his incredibly misogynist crap. He's also come off as blatantly pro-dictator ship in the middle east in the past few years. But he is a 'rare' politician, capable of sometimes speaking truth that no other politician dares to say in public.

I'd say about as much chance as him getting a new contract for next season. They'd probably treat it similarly too; meaning they won't say that they won't and they'd imply that they might and eventually they won't and everyone knows that they won't. Same happened with Frank (who admittedly didn't exactly cover himself in glory in the manner in which he left). The club hinted that they might wait for him to retire to arrange a testimonial, but do you really think they will if he comes out tomorrow and says that this will be his last season playing football? Unlikely to say the least...

It REALLY isn't about 22K which for JT or the club is nothing. The fact that the legend who has led this club to almost ALL of its trophies in history, the player who personifies this club arguably more than any other man in blue ever did, one of the last remaining ties from within the club to the fan base, is having to rent out the bridge to throw himself a farewell match is beyond fucking disgraceful.
-
Will the walkout change anything? In all likelihood, no. Should we do it? Absolutely! If it accomplishes nothing other than turning the heads of the Chelsea board and reminding them that there are Chelsea fans who care more about this club than they ever will and whose views and opinions matter and make a difference. It's not about letting Terry go, it's about the cowardly and disrespectful manner in which it is being done. If the club wants to let a legend go, at the very least they should be announcing it a few months in advance and preparing a proper send off for him so the fans can say their goodbyes and so he can leave with dignity. This walkout will not change anything regarding the Terry contract situation but it will a step in the right direction of saying: "Hey! This club is not a Russian billionaire's plaything. This club stems from its fans that have been here long before and will be long after every single player, manager, board member and owner!"

I thought there was a chance this might happen and it looks like Trump is going to attack Hillary from the left in the general elections. That's actually a smart move. US made a choice to end the sanctions on Iran for the nuclear program for the same reason they decided to end the sanctions on Cuba: to end their political isolation in the continent and the world.

Except him coming into the side was literally the turning point of our season with that unbeaten run that took us out of the relegation battle zone into top-half-mid-table positions. But he was poor yesterday, and as Lampard once said, for football fans, you're always as good as your last match.
-
Yeah, that glimmer of (probably) false hope is by far the worst part of it all. Just confirm it, give him a farewell match and let us give him the proper send off he deserves. Yeah, unfortunately. Second red card of the season, automatically means a 2-match ban
-
This is, for me, the biggest legend in the history of the club, Mr. Chelsea....I just can't come to terms with it. I'm afraid of what happens when I'm no longer in denial about this...
-
Am I the only one distraught that this was his last moments in a Chelsea shirt?!
-
Just realized that he had already been sent off this season which means he gets a 2-match ban which means this was probably the last time he's played in a Chelsea shirt.....my heart..can't handle.
-
Players just didn't care and you can't really blame them. Congrats to Sunderland on the massive three points. They clearly wanted it them a lot more than us.

No offense mate, but I don't have time to keep watching youtube videos you pitch to me. Give me specific examples, ideally with an article from a reputable source (guardian, Washington Post, New York Times, Telegraph...etc.) Again, I'm not saying that NO Christian has ever been persecuted in Iran (particularly those who were 'born' Muslim and converge), but I'm saying that there is no systematic persecution of Christians in Iran in the sense that we are talking about; I mean like Kurds were in Syria and Iraq, like Palestinians are in Israel, like Shias are in Bahrain, like non-Muslims are in Saudi Arabia...etc.

We have a serious disagreement on what constitutes 'proof'. That doesn't actually site a single actual example except a guy who converted to Christianity and was disowned by his family. How is that state persecution?! As I've said initially, I imagine that the situation is not ideal for minorities in Iran such as Christians, there is bound to be social pressure in such a religious society, but they are not persecuted in the same sense that we are talking about. This doesn't even begin to compare to Palestinians, including Christians, being tried by a separate military court andhaving segregated roads, schools, buses..etc.That's called apartheid.

Putting aside the 'questionable' moral values in that as well as the very obvious problems in the analogies such as assuming that what Mohammed or the Ottomans or Romans or whatever did was acceptable and moral, there is a main and pretty obvious issue with that which cannot be overlooked: This isn't the year 600! The ages of colonialism and imperialism is, or at least should be, over. It is no longer acceptable to conquer lands and kill people for imperialist and economic gains. There are international laws against that. Well then let's present some proof. I'll start: In Iran, Christianity is recognized as one of the official religions in the state along with Judaism, Zoroastrianism and obviously Islam. iirc, Christian have 3 seats in the Iranian parliament. On the other hand, Christians in Gaza are bombed indiscriminately by Israel just like Muslims, and Palestinian Christians in the West Bank are subjugated segregation, apartheid and systemic racism. 60 minutes did a report on it a couple of years back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5p8mZ-HN-0

John said a couple of years ago, and I think he really means it, that he feels like he owes Chelsea for what he has accomplished and hence won't leave until the club tells him that his services are no longer needed. As I've said before, I have no problem with him leaving, I'll thank him for all he's done for the club, and I have no problem with him staying as he's a pretty good squad player to have, imo.
-
Yeah, that's the problem! Got absolutely nothing to do with colonialism, occupation and massacres against the natives for political and economic gains...

That's actually just wrong about Iran. They don't have a real democracy, true, but they do have a sort of quasi-democracy. Iranians do vote and have fair elections and their votes make a genuine difference, but the system is a way such that some of the major decisions are still taken by the Ayatollah without any accountability to the people. That's not to defend of course the Iranian 'democracy', but saying that they don't have a democracy at all is just factually wrong. Their human rights record is one of the worst on the planet as well, but again, saying that there is no freedom there is just inaccurate. The part about religious freedom in particular is just baseless. While the vast majority of the citizens are Shia muslims, Iran does have scores of other religious minorities living there including Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians....etc. and to my knowledge they all have full rights and representation. Of course the situation might not be ideal, as is the case for minorities almost anywhere, but certainly minorities such as Jews in Iran have A LOT more freedom and rights in Iran than most Palestinians have in Israel, be it Muslims or Christian.

Don't tell me you are going to send them emails not starting with 'Dear' nor ending with 'Regards'?! You cruel, cruel man!
-
If you wanted to do it, it was probably a bad idea to say on a public site that you are going to!
-
Never want the boys to not give their all in match, but that said, I wouldn't mind seeing Sunderland get a win here. I really like Sunderland and if we don't ever play Newcastle away again, it would be too soon! Also, it would be the funniest thing if the FSW went straight from managing Real Madrid to getting relegated with Newcastle!

When will this nonsense talking point about Israel being a democracy go away. There are literally millions of people that Israel controls either through military in Gaza or government in the West Bank who have zero say in who controls their future. Heck, even Lebanon is more democratic than Israel I mean, sure, we now have a couple of million Syrian refugees who have no say in government but at least we don't massacre them whenever the heck we feel like it just to make a political point. We don't have segregated roads and check points for them, we don't detain Syrian minors, we don't force them to go through military courts...etc. Mate, that's like saying that the native Americans and the European colonizers were equally brutal. Equating the oppressor with the oppressed is siding with the oppressor. Anyway, on the US elections, it's now an inevitable Hillary presidency, which was the worst possible option, imo. She'll get the backing of the GOP establishment (because she's basically a neocon) and win by a land slide against Trump. And then a few more hundred thousand people die in the middle east...
