  1. I actually agree with most of that. I always said that Mikel's weakness is that he is slow. And I don't mean pace, but rather slow in his execution of things. But the speed at which he executes passes is not just down to him and often more due to the receivers. When Oscar and Schurrle play, for example, the make movements and drop deeper to pick the ball up from the pivot players, so naturally Mikel, or any other player in the pivot, can find them quickly with easy low-risk passes. But when Mata and Hazard play instead, they tend to mostly stand between two banks of defenders when the opposition defend with numbers. Mikel, being a holding midfielder, is then forced to keep the ball longer looking for a viable option, and then ends up giving it to the CB or full back because his job is to keep possession not to try near-impossible passes. This is why we did better last season against teams that attack us than against teams that want to defend only (except when we ourselves parked the bus like against Juve and the 3 City games) and that's because there would more spaces in their defense and the pivot players could find Mata and Hazard without them having to drop to receive the ball.
  2. That's the key word, right there: "instead of Bosingwa". That man can make Ross Turnbull look like a decent RB in comparison.
  3. Yes, people who follow our youth players on a daily basis like @ChelseaYouth and @daspecial_1. The mail even wrote an article about it IIRC.. Yeah, we specialize in has-beens when we panic, for some reason..
  4. I read he assisted Seville's winner, but didn't actually see it so I'm not entirely sure. EDIT: It looks like he assisted the first and not the second. Still seems to have been the best player on the pitch according to a few people who watched the match.
  5. LOL, didn't see that Anyway, there is plenty of time to panic and buy De Rossi or Felipe Melo before next season
  6. No, he's definitely going on loan at some point. Almost everyone that is involved with the Chelsea youth have said so.
  7. Completely agree. We won't be able to bring youth players through as long as we overrate youngsters from other teams and underrate our own.
  8. Incredible. You call me an "indecent person" and say that I don't have a clue, and still claim the moral high ground! But you're right, we should just move on.
  9. Another team that will come to park the bus. Luckily they don't have anywhere near as much quality as Basel or Everton. We absolutely can't not win this one. Best lineup must be up for this one especially that we have Swindon in midweek. I think Hazard needs to be benched to wake up. Plus, he could you use the rest because he looks like he hasn't yet recovered from that injury. I'd like to see people who actually provide width. So something like this: Cech Azpi-Luiz-JT-Bertrand Ramires-Mikel Schurrle-Oscar-Willian/Mata Torres
  10. I don't "like to slag people off", I've never insulted any of our players, in fact I'm always the one defending the ones that are being over-criticized, and that has included Torres on several occasions. I'm not the one who posted the GIF and I don't think I even liked it. I'm just saying that I can't see anything wrong with posting it. I'm sorry, but I can't.
  11. No, seriously, you're an expert on social morals, am I wrong? Is there something wrong with posting that GIF? Because for the life of me I can't see what is wrong with it!
  12. Have you seen Capoue for Tottenham before he got injured? I'd honestly rather play Chalobah instead. Zero tactical awareness, terrible first touch, always out of position and absolutely no footballing IQ.
  13. Yes, you should just call players "weak human beings" Wait so having a laugh about a kid falling is indecent but saying that someone is not a decent person isn't? Weird standards..
  14. From your reaction you'd think his son was used in some pornographic GIF. Geez..
  15. What's so nasty about it? It's a joke! And like any joke, it's funny because it has something from the truth. You're telling me you've never laughed at a joke about Nasri being the most expensive "sub", or about Arsenal's lack of silverware or about Fergie time or his "he could have killed him" comment or about Barcelona players diving? No one is saying anything bad of the kid or humiliating him just like the million other funny children GIFs on the internet are not insulting anyone. He miss-kicked the ball and fell on his butt. It's funny! I'm sure if it had happened at home Fernando himself would have laughed about it. It certainly doesn't merit all this discussion.
  16. The digs at Torres for not scoring are not justified? Really?!! And this is coming from someone who just said on the previous page that Torres atm is still our best striker.
  17. This was at the last day of the season when players bring their kids with them so people can take picture of the players and their kids together. The pictures and videos of the players kids were all over the place and I remember a video of Ross Turnbull's son going viral and the video or Ramires's son scoring was also very popular and was made into GIFs. For goodness sake, lighten up!
  18. It's GIF of a kid miss-kicking a football and falling on his butt. There are a bout a million of those going around the internet and even more on those funny homemade videos shows. It's not immoral or inappropriate, it's just funny. You're being more defensive about Torres than he would be about himself. I'm sure that, just like JT laughs off those images with him at the finish line with Usain Bolt, Torres would laugh this off. If anything, the jokes about JT banging his teammates wives is much much more inappropriate.
  19. No I heard it from several sources that Zola wanted him and he badly wanted to go back there but Watford were not willing to pay the percentage wages we were demanding. Can't be the style of football. Zola may not be the best manager around, but his team plays possession attacking football unlike Forrest who are more "traditional British" team.
  20. Yeah he just panicked and wet flying in instead of controlling his nerves and staying on his feet and trying to force the player into an area where we can deal with the threat.
  21. Ridiculous that we won't let him join Watford just because they are willing to pay a smaller percentage of his wages! He needs a manager that trusts him and he can trust in order to develop, and we know Zola is just that.
