Really?! The past season and a half aside, Lamaprd never tracked back and defended! He was always the most advanced in a 3-man midfield.

Haha can you honestly say that that statement is not correct? Every one of our defenders has had a patch in this season when he was terrible except for Paulo. Give the man a 5-year extension!

What Frank does is more of a strikers instinct; you would not expect that from your midfielder. When I say Scholes is the best midfielder, I mean that he was the best at everything a midfielder does (except tackling, maybe). His passing is second to none of his generation, not even Xavi, imho. I love Frank, but if you ask me which of the two I'd rather have in my team, I'd say Paul without a moments hesitation.

That's a very good point. Wise was once talking about the 97 FA Cup win and made the exact same point. They were an incredible group of smart players with a lot of leadership qualities. PS: Hashtags are sooo out of character for you!

The issue with 4-3-3 has always been Mata. He's no where near effective there. But 4-3-3 would definitely suit Rami and Mikel much more.

Mock all you want, but City have, by far the best squad in the league. All they need is a decent manager. I hope they keep Mancini and don't get Pellegrini.

If City get Pelligrini, they are, imo, favorites to win the league next season with the current squad they have.

Defensively, Cole is still miles ahead of Baines but the latter, now, offers more offensively. I'd still take Cole over Baines any day.

True, but if you consider the other nominees, Peace has only been active since January so he's missed half the season as well while TOPTB rarely ever expresses opinions about players outside of England so I don't think anyone of them is exactly the perfect candidate to win this year's "Best Football knowledge" award.
