  1. And to think that less than a year later he had gone from that to slow mo
  2. And did you bother to actually read the sentence?! Someone made a point that if you're slow then you can't have good technical ability and I gave those 3 as a counter argument. Of course Mikel's technical ability does not compare to their exceptional technical abilities.
  3. He was in some form that whole season but particularly that month when we played united (I think it was away). Easily the best player in the league back then.
  4. If we're talk non-Chelsea, remember when Zlatan won football?
  5. I'm happy both ways as long as neither of them is first to get injured!
  6. Excellent finish on the goal. The keeper did everything right to close the angle for him, but his finish was too clinical. Hope to see more of that in blue.
  7. Can't really argue with you there..
  8. So you think Pirlo does not have technical ability? Or Barbatov? Or Bergkamp? In terms of technical abilities, before we started getting players like Mata, Hazard and Oscar two seasons ago, Mikel was one of our best technical players. He is slow, but his technical ability on the ball is great. Some people on here have an unhealthy obsession with Mikel. I honestly don't get what anyone can complain about Mikel this season. Apart from a couple of sub appearances where he was brought on to preserve a lead, Mikel has started 3 games: He was MOTM against Everton, had an excellent performance was our second best player behind Oscar and even scored against Fulham, and had an average performance in the first half against Tottenham when the whole team was under-performing (apart from the back 4 maybe). Yet some people don't seem to able to post anything without having a dig at the man.
  9. Can probably beat yours. You can't prove otherwise
  10. Why? You'll only embarrass yourselves There's no JT this time to get you out of the group stages..
  11. It actually reminds me of this:
  12. Hardly a big deal. Sterling must weigh less than a pound
  13. Al Jazeera got Sam Allardyce tonight....just
  14. Well, Chelsea giving Nathanial a role with first team atm is about as likely as him making England's WC squad. And that has nothing to do with Pogba or any CM we sign in the next two transfer windows.
  15. Bolter for the WC squad? He can't make the starting XI of the England U21 team And you're actually saying that we should not sign Pogba, who is a nailed on starter for Juve and France, because he would hinder Nathanial's development? By the time Nathanial is ready to be a first team player at Chelsea we will surely have bought a CM, if not two, regardless if it is Pogba or not. Top teams wait for no one. If Nathanial is good enough, he'll force his way into the first team over the options we already have just like Pogba forced his way into Juve over the likes of Marchisio and Giacherrini. I would absolutely love Pogba here. One of the best prospects in the world. If we do have a chance to sign him, it really is a no-brainer. But I find it very unlikely in the next year or two.
  16. Still too early to tell if it is best that he stays with Zola as he's barely ad two matches there till now, but I definitely agree about him not being ready for the PL just yet.
  17. "People who know their football" LMAO You mean people who said that he'd be with Englnad's senior WC squad next year or that it is unimaginable that Nathanial will not be playing in the PL this season? Get off your high-horse..
  18. There were more people in that thread blaming him than there were defending him. That is a sample of our fans. And yes, those people are as much Chelsea fans as you are.
  19. http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/5751-29-nathaniel-chalobah/page-39 Go ahead, read the few pages during and after the final game.
  20. Please. Our fans made Nathanial the scapegoat for Watford not winning promotion last season. Imagine what would happen if he played badly for Chelsea! There is a reason why Frank said that to the fans you're always as good as your last game.
  21. I'm convinced that Juve won't sell unless they have to, meaning if the player wants to leave. I'm not disagreeing with any of what you're saying, but I feel that might happen in 2-3 years, not now. He's just became a nailed on starter for Juve, his experience there is not done just yet. While I agree with the idea, it does not apply to Pogba. Paul is better than the vast majority of the players who are already in their peak. His technical ability is flawless, his physical attributes, especially his work-rate, are phenomenal, and his tactical awareness is way ahead of his age and he's even been Juve's "big game player" on several occasions. He's already an experienced player who has played big matches in the CL league and cup with his club and important qualifier matches with his NT. Pogba is a truly remarkable player.
  22. PL schedule has been particularly messed up this season, and not just for us. TV channels trying to fit every single match to be shown live. We've had every single one of our PL matches live so far this season which would explain why our games have either been early or late kick offs when there is no other live game happening.
  23. Speaking of pundits, what does everyone think of Wilkins? He certainly has his moments, but I've been a bit disappointed by him. And, No, this has nothing to do with what he has been misquoted saying about Rooney and our youth players recently, but I just feel that at times he's trying too hard to fit into the general consensus rather than say his own opinion.
  24. I love how the vast majority of our managers, even though they all inevitably get sacked in the end, still genuinely like and support the club. Just today I was reading in the mail 'Arry complaining how Ruud Guillet went all crazy when we won the CL. Hearing Carlo saying: "I'm still a Chelsea fan" is so great. Even Butch still supports the club and has a season ticket at the Bridge. Says quite a lot about our board and the whole Chelsea staff as whole. Maybe even a little about the fans
