  1. What? I have said on several occasions (including on the very last page) that land is now also home to all those that are now Israeli citizens and that they cannot be thrown out like the Palestinians were in 1948. I have called for the end of Israel as racist apartheid Jewish blood thirsty state to be replaced by a single integrated democtaric seculra country that treats all the people currently living in the region in an equal basis.
  2. Because the Palestinian ethnic cleansing is the only one still going on till now in an age where any news is universal and everyone is involved and interested in happenings all over the world. And we're also now in a world that after WW2 decided to move away from such genocides by creating international laws and standards. The global morals and ethics have moved on since WW2. Add to that the fact that with Israel, you have other ongoing atrocities like all the massacres in the regular wars. And what in history compares to modern day Gaza? Nothing except the Nazi concentration camps. If Turkey were still killing Greeks in a regular basis, I'm sure a lot of people would be calling for repercussions. On any account, "don't look at us, look at others" and "we're not the worst in history" are not exactly great moral arguments.
  3. Seriously?! The difference is that almost all those who are currently in the region were brought there in the space of about a decade and on a racist religious basis. They didn't just immigrate there, they were part of an organized political movement. More importantly, those Jewish people who went to the region in 1930s and 40s didn't just move to live there. They literally drove natives from their houses and out of their country and destroyed their villages to replace it with settlements. And before you say it, this is not like the native Indians in America because that was a thousand years ago and we would all like to believe that we've moved on from those barbaric times.
  4. Technically, that game was at the Bridge!
  5. The US racial segregation is different because the USA was not defined as white-only nation. If Israel changes enough to allow Palestinians to be equal citizens, then it won't be Israel anymore which brings me to my first point:
  6. Again only as a minority that cannot affect the major policies or the nature of the state which makes it impossible to be the unified nation of all the people that live in the region. That was what we were talking about. You have incredible talent of subtly changing what the subject is really about...
  7. Only as insignificant minorities (and only because they had to). Israel was created to be the homeland for Jews from all over the world. How can it not be a Jewish state?
  8. Of course it's a Jewish state. That's their own definition of themselves not mine. Debate it with them.
  9. A very small minority. Israel is a Jewish state. As if it would agree to have more non-Jewish than Jewish citizens.
  10. The structure is irrelevant if the ideology and beliefs don't change. Israel defines itself as Jewish only state, how can it be the nation of the Palestinian people as well?
  11. You're too innocent to be in this thread if you did not get that reference!
  12. No it isn't. It's a racist apartheid state that has committed countless massacres, war crimes and atrocities since it's inception. There cannot be peace while Israel continues to exist, at least not in its current form. And the "democratic nation" is just PR bullshit. Go ask the Jews who want peace or the ex-soldiers who want to reveal atrocities of the army if they have any freedom to speak their mind. In this attack on Gaza, Israeli parliament members have been assaulted by the police, thrown out and banned from the parliament for calling to end the massacres in Gaza.
  13. I agree. I've said a couple of times in this thread that of course you can't get rid of the Israelis, it's their home now as well. Trying to do that would be as much an atrocity as what happened to the Palestinians in 1948. The only conceivable solution I see is a single state for all the people in the region. Not called Palestine nor Israel. A single democratic full integrated country with all the people. The more separation and racial segregation there is the more the hatred will grow. But for that to happen, the biggest issue we currently face is getting Israelis and the world to view the Palestinian people as their equals. That's our current struggle.
  14. It's not different. That is exactly what happened. First there was just Palestine with a Jewish minority (less than 10% accoriding to the UN and the USA), then Jews were brought in from all over the world by a British-French agreement to take the land of the Palestinians. No the people that lived there are NOT part of Israel now. A very small minority were given the Israeli passports, but the vast majority were thrown out of the country and are living in refugees camps in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan or living under daily racial harassment and abuse in the West Bank or in the open air prison that is Gaza while being massacred every other year. Wrong, 'Israel' has been going to war long before Hamas when its 'army' was made of right wing religious extremist multi-national militias and the Palestinians had a secular PLO. In fact, the inception of Israel was through and Israel cannot continue to exists without war. Not my words; the words of the American King-Crane panel.
  15. Oh, look: Here's ISIS Khalifite (leader) Abou Baker Al Baghdadi in meeting with John McCain near the Turkish border about a year ago: No, no, no and no. By your logic, any country can go to places with weak governments like east and central Africa and have more claim to the land than the natives And the problem is, there are 3.6 million people in Gaza and the West Bank that ARE being oppressed, abused and mass murdered based on their ethnicity.
  16. What's stupid is trying to say that it's okay for the Palestinian people, the original owners of the land, to lose their homes and their land and be oppressed and abused by a racist state because they don't have a proper government because of that oppression and apartheid.
  17. Wow, Fernando, I've never seen someone trying this hard to sound stupid If you're not going to make a logical argument or add anything intelligent to the discussion, just leave.
  18. I read that Jose has asked the fans to come early to the bridge because the players will be out before the match for the fans to greet them. Maybe you'll get to see him after all.
  19. Aren't you always? I'm already in bed, I'll try to post a few things tomorrow. And I remember making a long post about exactly that subject. I'll try to find it for now. EDIT: It's a bit too simplified, but here it is:
  20. PS: @Stingray, I think you should start with him with the 1948 and all the events leading to it (Sykes-Picot, Balfourd...etc.). I see his point, it's hard to understand the Arab animosity towards the state of Israel without the knowing the nature of the inception of it.
  21. The Israeli Foreign Ministry has rejected the UN Human Rights Council panel that was intended to investigate any war crimes committed in Gaza saying that the organization has long become a "council for terrorists' rights". It really would be funny if it weren't so tragic.
  22. So? There are 1.3 Billion different individuals in China, doesn't mean I can tell them apart! Nope, still can't see it.
