  1. https://vine.co/v/OBFdgwMbV0F Close enough?
  2. Welbeck?! I almost feel sorry for Arsenal!
  3. Oh, I think he's definitely moving on, just not right now. You can't turn the clocks around. He's getting older and Thibaut is getting into his prime. I just think it is important that he stays until January at the very least. Plus, there is no need to rush him out now to somewhere 'wrong' like QPR :mouthcllosed: Let him have his time picking his next team, which hopefully will not be in the EPL.
  4. Best of luck to him. Hope he gets a lot of playing time.
  5. Don't think Petr would ever actually insult someone on Twitter. He has too much class for that.
  6. True, but he was obviously not expecting the pass which means that he probably didn't get a shout from Thibaut. Lack of communication. Luckily we were let off the hook by the brilliant save.
  7. Of course it's not the same for keepers as it is for outfield players, but who says that competition is only on the pitch? Compitition between players is first and foremost on the training ground. This kind of competition can push Thibaut to develop better. Just the mere fact of having someone like Petr behind you will push Thibaut to having to perform at 100% every single game.
  8. Leaving now is very unlike Petr. That's just not how he thinks or how his attitude is. Leaving now, to him, is like quitting, like cowering out of a 'duel', something he's never done. He wants to stay and have a chance to win his spot back because that's the type of professional he is. For us, having Petr here in Thibaut's first season to help and mentor him could be a very good thing. Plus, it's a great chance for Thibaut to prove himself and gain a lot of confidence by retaining his spot with someone like Petr Cech breathing down his neck. Competition for places inside a football club is always healthy. And it is clear that this is what Jose and the club want.
  9. I thought that was weird too but I think Jose was more just making a point about the fitness levels of players who went to the world cup versus player who did not.
  10. He's managing a charity match there.
  11. If are going to loan him to Burnley, it has to happen today. Else it's another championship loan for him.
  12. What? No car-interview for Redknapp yet? Been a disappointing transfer deadline day so far.
  13. Hmm, you're right. I'll have to check the FA rules.
  14. Not saying otherwise, but I think the main blame on Saturday lays on the midfield, not the back 4.
  15. That's weird. If anything, he's been a bit too eager at times.
  16. Read he's called up for the Belgian NT?
  17. I'm pretty sure no one can change their number after they have been registered and even played a game with it.
  18. Don't know what you're talking about, they're currently top of the league! Bet you they don't finish more than 5 points off of 3rd place.
  19. Can't remember a single one, and I've watched the match 3 times already. And Cahill didn't lose Mirallas for the first goal because he was never marking him. Cesc was but he didn't track his run into the box. Cahill arguably should have picked him up, but those kind of runs from deep are very hard to defend against when you're standing in one place and your opponent has a good run up on you. Btw, last season, much like the fans, Jose kept faith in the back 5 and shortly after that we went on an incredible run of conceding very very few goals. Hope the same happens this season as well. EDIT: I'll write an article tomorrow analyzing the goals that we conceded. For the second goal, while Iva's decision making was far from perfect, he and all of the back four were exposed by a very bizarre positional decision by Matic. He takes the main liability for the goal.
  20. He's played piratically NO competitive football in over a season. "some opportunities" is not nearly enough. He's 22. He needs regular playing time or he won't develop. Milan are not nearly the bad side you try to make them out to be. They will definitely be challenging for top 3 in the Serie A this season.
  21. When he comes back, and regardless of whether or not he will be part of our squad next season, there will most likely be a few squad number changes. I expect Costa or Schurrle to take the number 9.
  22. His fault for signing for such a shit agent. At the end of the day, it's his decision and he takes full responsibility for his decisions.
  23. Loaned out players don't have numbers 'reserved'.
