What a shame if correct.... How did it go from Buffon, Crespo, Thuram, Canavaro...etc. in the late 1990s to this in just 15 years?! EDIT: Veron and Di Vaio as well! Damn, what a team!
-
We had no DM and two CMs (cesc and rami) that like to chase the ball out of position. People always moan when Jose brings Mikel on, but had he been on the bench today, we probably would have kept a clean sheet.
-
It's incredibly difficult against teams like Burnley because with 10 men we can't press their defenders which allows them to play the way they want to that is launching long balls forward. Honestly, I'd rather play with ten men against teams like Spurs or Everton or Southampton rather than Burnley or Palace.
-
Of course they have! Anyone who has played any sort of contact sport, at any level, knows that Matic's reaction was completely normal and he had every right to that reaction.
-
How about unbiased refs? Aren't those supposed to be part of the game?!
-
You're joking, right?
-
The adrenalin of wanting to kill the guy that hurt you always beats the pain while you're playing sport. What eye for eye? It's a nearly broken leg for a push. I've seen it countless times that players have this very same reaction after this type of tackles and the ref usually gives them nothing, a booking at most. That's because refs understand that he has every right to be that upset about a tackle like that.
-
I'm not having of that "should have kept his cool" nonsense. He's bloody lucky to have kept his bones intact!
-
Jose should come out and call Atkinson a fucking wanker and the FA a bunch of twats. I'll pay his fine myself if he does.
-
Da faq do we have to do to get a penalty with English refs?!!
-
His poor performance against PSG is NOT his fault, it's Jose's poor tactics. I've said it before, but he just can't play in this advanced role in the tough away matches. He does NOT make us any more solid defensively there, but quite the contrary. If Jose thinks that he can't play in the "pivot" in a certain match, then he should be dropped from the team completely, not moved forward to where Oscar and Willian are obviously much better suited in our system.
-
It's also a different type of pressure at Chelsea that sometimes those young players can't deal with. Same was the case with KDB. Makes you understand why Jose is so cautious with Zouma.
-
Offensive? We should get those racist fans from the metro to start, then
-
Had a good game yesterday. Very good start to this loan.
-
Just to remind everyone, they clawed back a 2 goal deficit at the Ettihad and got a point because City got complacent. We cannot make the same mistake.
-
He made 3 MAJOR mistakes in one match. They scored from the first, Azpi accidentally cleared off the line for the second and Cavani luckily missed for the third. Every single game he and Ivanovic play, 90% of the danger and opposition chances come down our right side. We CAN'T keep dismissing that as a coincidence.
-
Nonsense. The imaginary "played youth" moral trophy is much more important and prestigious than the EPL
-
To be honest, I don't buy the "never been sung before" part. They obviously didn't just come up with the chant on the spot.
-
Why do I feel, after reading the past few pages, that I need to express my condolences to everybody?!
-
Let make it clear that we will have ZERO tolerance for anyone who will come here for the sole purpose of provoking people and creating trouble. Opposition views are more than welcome and even some light-hearted banter, but "trolling" will not be allowed.

Ran rings around your players and forced them to commit NINE fouls on him. Goodbye troll.

Most of the people are seen clearly in that video. They should be identified and dealt with by the police.
-
I just saw the most sickening video of Chelsea fans preventing a black man from boarding a metro train in Paris while chanting "we're racist, that's the way we like it". Absolutely disgusting...
-
Well, that's subjective and you have every right to interpret it that way. But what is unquestionably objective is that we got a positive result. For all the criticism, we keep getting more positive results than all of the other teams in England and even in Europe. Even in the so called "big games" we are yet to lose. Can't all be luck, we must be doing something right.
