  1. I genuinely chuckled at this Fiorentina, Milan, Sampdoria...etc. might be upset about it, but I really doubt Juve board has any thoughts at all about what Inter or any of the other teams fighting for EL qualification are currently doing....Not that I'm saying that those Sky Italia rumors are true..
  2. https://firstlook.org/theintercept/2015/05/13/greatest-threat-free-speech-comes-terrorism-claiming-fight/ Good luck with that, Britain...
  3. The man has done wonders for a team that looked like it was well on the decline. The work he's done with them on set-pieces is something of a miracle!
  4. History and people's memories are written by the victors....My middle name is "Victor".
  5. Remember when Barca were in "meltdown" and Luis Enrique was going to get sacked and Messi wanted to leave back in Jan?
  6. Because everyone in Spain has a buy-out clause and players would rather go to more 'marketable' clubs if possible.
  7. Hey, at least Pep stuck to his philosophy!
  8. We've all scored that Neymar goal on FIFA before
  9. Okay, I take back what I said last week about this Barca side being able to defend!
  10. We always play 4-3-3. The most advanced central midfielder and the right winger have the right to interchange positions. But we usually defend, like most teams, with a 4-4-2 and the most advanced CM is the one that becomes the 'second striker' to press the back four. That was usually Willian when Oscar was not playing except in very limited examples when Cesc took on that role which is wise because Cesc does not have the pace to cover and press 2 players at once. Jose did not decide to give Cuadrado a small role, Cuadrado's awful performances decided for him. May I remind you that Cuadrado got 15 minutes off the bench in his first game here against Villa and then straight away started the next match against Everton? I'm not looking for consistency from a 20yo, I'm saying that right now we need consistence so we should not be looking to sing a 20yo. No. No, I wouldn't. In fact, I'm pretty sure I said the exact opposite last season. That ridiculously attacking system that Liverpool played last season would have made any attacker in the world look miles better than he actually is. People were even calling Sturridge world class. I mean he's a good player, but not nearly as good as he was being painted last season. Same applies to all their attackers, including Suarez.
  11. As has already been pointed out several times already, TWO Chelsea players have already walked and even attempted to run (in the case of Van Ginkel) after tearing their ACL. But I too have seen other athletes lay on the ground screaming as well. Not sure if there degrees of tears, or just depends on the guy.
  12. Don't forget to hit "save" before you exit, though!
  13. Since Jan, Willian has played as much centrally as he has on the right with Rami playing often on the right. And yes, we were buying Cuadrado to be a regular and even a starter because if you remember Willian did not have a good start of the season. If we did not expect him to be a regular we would not have gotten rid of both Schurrle and Salah and left our selves with no other options. And right now we still need a starting attacking midfielder, and I don't mean a nailed on starter but someone who is capable of being a regular; meaning someone like Willian and Schurrle not someone like Salah (in terms of roles in the squad not playing style). I think both Griezmann and Reus have showed that they have everything it takes to play in any of the 4 attacking positions in a system similar to ours. I wasn't saying that as the main reason why we shouldn't sign Sterling but as how Cuadrado can affect this transfer as you asked about exactly that from my post. The main reason we should not sign Sterling is pretty simple for me: He is not yet nearly good enough, consistent enough or mature enough as well as his style of play not fitting ours.
  14. Needless? Of course the Cuadrado case plays a huge part in this. If it had turned out differently we wouldn't even be looking for a starter but a back up attacking midfielder (then, maybe I would have been happy with Sterling). And that no doubt will influence Jose and the board because we obviously don't want to find ourselves in Jan or next summer looking again to spend big money to get a starting RW for the team. Hence why I believe we will go with safer more established options such as Reus and Griezmann.
  15. How exactly did you infer that from what I wrote? I did not compare any ability or attribute of the two. What I implied was: After a risky transfer that has so far turned out terrible, we should go for the safer options available, meaning Reus and Griezmann over Sterling.
  16. No, he COULD improve immensely under Jose. He could also play a lot worse than he has been for Liverpool in a system where he will have a lot more duties, a lot less freedom, less of the ball and where the tempo is mostly slower and he won't be the start and go-to guy. I think we need a more consistent, mature and safe option at the moment, especially the way it is going for Cuadrado at the moment.
  17. How about that Soton LB who got into the team of the year? Homegrown and everything as well!
  18. People just want him because he's English, but in reality he's no where near the other options on the market such as Griezeman and Reus. I honestly doubt that there is any sort of solid interest from the club in him. I'd be happy to see him move to City if that means they won't be perusing other options on the market.
  19. No, watch it again. Mikel was with Gerrard until Cahill hold his shirt from behind and then pushes him forward away from Gerrard, He did it with JT against PSG as well Not saying Mikel is blameless in the goal (neither was JT against PSG) but I just can't even begin to understand what was going through Garry's mind at the time!
  20. Still laughing about him pushing Mikel away from Gerrard for the goal. Marked Mikel completely out of that set piece, brilliant defending! Thank fuck it was in a dead-rubber game this time, though.
  21. I think Jose is insistent on playing Iva at RB not at not playing Azpi at RB.
  22. He's played two matches this season IIRC, not one. And I distinctly remember Jose heavily praising him after the match. Plus, we've had Zouma this season so when we needed a youngster to play in defense it would have obviously been Kurt.
