  2. I just read this post and I am laughing. What a joke of club and "legends" we have. This time players stopped performing and got AVB sacked. These "legends" need to be shown the door and the owner needs to learn not to make friends with these "Legends"
  3. Regarding Torres, one of the reasons why he is performing now is because the atmosphere in the team is much more relaxed and friendly with less pressure as opposed to the one which AVB created which looked like a dictator ruling the things in the dressing room.
  4. Torres also had a bust up with AVB for his interview in portuguese where he inclined to compare him to Sheva and Kezman (obviously it will be denied). Lets be honest......All of a sudden, Torres is performing, David Luiz is looking like a reincarnation of Carvalho, The entire team is doing well once AVB was let go. AVB rubbed everyone the wrong way, right from his press conferences to his handling of his own players. He even tried to phase out Cech, along with Cole and Lampard. Not playing Kalou, Anelka and Alex because they refused to sign extension is just being stupid. You have to look at what you need in the present to win games. You cant just go with my way or high way theory specially at the big clubs where pressure to win is huge. Benching Cole and Lampard at Napoli was like signing his own death warrant. The guy is a good tactician but his naivety was exposed as he tried to change too many things too soon.
  5. He gave him chances but when he did score while Drogba was in Africa, he compared him to Sheva and Kezman.
  6. True...everyone talks about how good he is. He just went back to the basics and undid everything that AVB did. Roy left Liverpool and "Queen" Kenny came and Liverpool saw some resurgence but next season signed players like Henderson, Carrol, and that bald midfielder. and Liverpool are still shit. Its the same with Hiddink. Scolari tried to change the way we did everything, hiddink came and made Chelsea play the way they know to play that is by using Physical Power as oppossed to sleak sexy football. Do I wanna see Di Matteo managing this club long term, by buying players, building squads, etc...? No...Do I wanna see a Mourinho or a Hiddink? Yes.
  7. I prefer fans being positive compared to some of the depressing fans we have on this forum.
  8. Oh I bet my house on Drogba being up for it after what happened in 09. Drogba when he wants to play he is unplayable as defenders keep bouncing off him. But those occasions come rare. And the game against Barcelona (if we meet them) will be one of those occasions. The whole of Chelsea FC will be up for it after 09. The Fans, Players, and the whole of England.
  9. You are right..I thought it was 1-1. Thanks for correcting. So its 11 goals by Chelsea and 10 goals by Barca. We have beaten them twice and they have beaten us twice but with us having 10 men on field on both occasions.
  10. If we play like the Chelsea of Old with Power they have no chance unless UEFA has one of their corrupt referees officiating the game. One thing this season that may work to our advantage is that unlike previous seasons no one is expecting us to win it. Pressure is off. Also, looking at the team most do not think we can compete with squads of Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern. Inter Milan were SHIT untill they started the knock outs and the rest is history. Liverpool were shit untill Geraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard (Andy Gray Style) scored that screamer against Olympiakos. We have nothing to lose. If we go out, we go out all guns blazing
  11. Not just Souness, most of the fans I know from Arsenal or Man Utd have the same opinion. Heres why.. In 04-05 2-1 to Barca (DrogbaRed Carded) 4-2 Chelsea In 05-06 1-2 to Barca (Del Horno sent off thanks to Messi Theatrics) 1-1 at Camp Nou In 06-07 1-1 at the Bridge 2-2 at Barca In 08-09 0-0 at Camp Mou 1-1 at Bridge (Thanks to the Bald Norwegien who is a disgrace to the game) Not much difference between the two teams. All in All Chelsea has scored 11 goals and so has Barca. We have won once against them but they have won twice. But they have not won against us with 11 on 11. We have not won at Camp Nou. But if you have followed these games you will know that we have always had the upper hand and we were always undone by the Referees. I for one wanted to play them after 09. They were so undeserving to go through that season with the referee being so incompetent.
  12. When Drogba plays like that no player in Europe can touch him. He was an animal, scoring goals upfront, chasing their players, defending like his life is on the line. He and some of the older players know that this could be the last chance. Luiz was the best player on the pitch tonight. He was a WALL. He kept it simple and kept their strikers in check. He was Superb, I am lost for adjectives to describe how great he was tonight. Terry as usual was solid. He is a remarkable leader. Even on the touchline he was taking the role of the manager and shouting instructions. Ramirez is just a powerhouse. The man's engine is unbeleivable. Ivanovic is a beast of a player. Solid in defense and finished like a striker. Lampard = Mr. Dependable. You know he wouldnt miss it in pressure situations. Kept it simple and ran tirelessly .
  13. STELLAR PERFORMANCE!!! ABSOLUTELY SMASHING!!! We are peaking at the right time. We still have Champions League places to fight for which I am sure we will win along with the FA CUp and Quarter Finals. Hopefully we get Apoel or Marseille. But knowing Barcelona's luck they will get the easiest.
  14. I agree he has lost the ball on more than one occasion
  15. What a comeback. This is more like the Old Chelsea. Chins up even if we lose this one.
  16. Link to the Game? Firstsports link is stopping.
  17. This Player Power should STOP. The players know they can have their way from past experience. NOW THIS SHOULD STOP. THEY SHOULD BE KICKED OUT!! I dont care if its Lampard, Drogba, Terry or Cole. I am fed up of these seniors who keep questioning Managers like Scolari, AVB, Carlo, etc
  18. Wow!! R u the same Brazilian henrique? If yes weren't you asking for AVBs head couple of months back? I am glad that sense has finally prevailed. And I dot know what the fuck is wrong with people asking what's the big deal with Cavanni. Why the he'll do we have to buy players who are a big deal? Sheva and Torres anyone? Was Suarez a big deal? Was Mata a big deal?? It's about time we buy players who aren't a big deal but become one when they play for us. Cavanni is fast and is a class finisher. He scores goals for all the clubs he played and also for his country on a consistent basis.
  19. Transition is not all about players but is also about the manager. We have a new manager and you can't just expect him to walk in and win you trophies. He will first come in and assess the team and try to play with a certain style and formation in the first season. I am sure AVB has realized that this team is well past it's sell date. Then he will buy new players to suite his style and formation. Note that he loves to play high defense line and hence he bought in Cahill who is one of the quickest CBs. Torres, Drogba, Malouda, Kalou, Bosingwa, Ferriera, Essien need to go. Hazard, Cavanni, Willian, RB, Josh Forwards: Cavanni, Studge, Willian, Hazard, Mata Midfielders: Romeu, Mikel, Ramirez, Lampard, Meireles, Josh Defenders: Cole, Bertand, Cahill, Terry, Luiz, Ivanovic, RB, Billy Clifford GK: Cech, Hilario, Turnbull Formation: 4-2-3-1
  20. If he retires the Media will launch an attack saying he turned his back on his country.
  21. I just hope he retires and when proven NOT GUILTY. He shows two fingers up to the media and FA who would want him back as England has no "LEADERS"
  22. The only club he will go to is Man City that is if Mancini blows his chance to win the title. Man Utd---Sir Alex said he is good for 3 years Arsenal---Could be a possibility if they finish in top 4. Budget isnt a problem for them as the board said they have the money to buy big but its against Wenger's policy Chelsea---AVB is given full reign to build a squad for future and they have paid 13m to get him. No chance he will be replaced next season. Liverpool---They wont even finish in top 5. No Chance
  23. Future of this club is as follows DeBruyne---------Studge-------------Hazard ---------------------Mata------------------ -------Josh----------------Romeu
