  1. Had a feeling we'd get a confirmation like this by Saturday so that he can join us on the 1st of Jan itself. Nice to see us getting a deal concluded ahead of time for once.
  2. Absolutely. We shouldn't even be considering him in our plans atm until April at the very least if he's shown some consistent level of form.
  3. Yep but the worst part is he won't be able to for another six months. Kind of wish we hadn't played him at all so he could have gone somewhere. I'm sure he'd be getting some good playing time at a championship club. But then again he might get a couple of starts when Drogba goes to the ACN
  4. I know. They must have been laughing their asses off after we signed that deal (if true)
  5. If it is true, blame lies with the club for agreeing to such a ridiculous deal. No need to blame Barca (for once). It's pretty insulting that we agreed to such a deal. We're not Peterborough United. I understand that we'll still get to have a quality player in our team for a season or two, but the entire concept of it is infuriating.
  6. Yep I think the agreement between the two clubs will be announced by Sunday and he'll be at the Bridge on the 1st to sign the contract.
  7. lol. no way Sam is ready for first-team action. What if JT/Luiz get a long-term injury? Then we'd have to deal with Ivanovic playing at CB and Bosingwa at RB which would be disastrous. I don't understand why this is such a big deal. If he doesn't play/perform well he will be here for 2 seasons MAX.
  8. This is depressing. It kinda says that it isn't a first refusal but they can recall him if they want (if the player agrees, obviously) and we can't do anything to stop them.
  9. Meh. If he wants to go there then let him go there. Same thing as Pastore. Wouldn't want such a player in my club anyways.
  10. lol these three players are probably worth more than Torres That isn't the best logic. Djimi Traore is a Champions League winner. And he is one of the worst footballers I have ever seen in my life. My example is a bit of a stretch compared to yours but you get what I mean
  11. I think they mean Brazilian dollars not USD
  12. Agree, a playmaker is a higher priority. Our strikers aren't getting enough chances to put away. We're the opposite of Liverpool. They're creating loads of chances every match but don't have the players to finish.
  13. lol we're obviously out of the title race. I don't think we were ever IN the title race. Now we need to focus on getting the 4th spot sewn up. And you're mistaken if you think Real and Barca are the only good teams left.
  14. Hopefully he'll be in contention to start or at least make a sub appearance in the Pompey game!
  15. Malouda actually wanting to leave - I thought this day would never come! Thanks for the memories and all..... but now fuck off
  16. It seems to apply moreso to Piazon. Very strange indeed. Doesn't help that there are a bunch of Piazon fangirls on places like Tumblr
  17. yea we shouldn't pay attention to whether or not they are cup tied. The prem is much more important right now. We should just take the CL as a "lets just see how far we can get" kinda mentality because no way we're good enough to win it. It just depends on how much luck we'll get
  18. I just don't get all this Piazon talk. He has done nothing so far. Peace mentioned in another thread that he hasn't even played club football in BRAZIL. He's had only a handful of games for the reserves and even then he hasn't been "that" fantastic. And the reserves league is rubbish. I'm more impressed by the likes of Lalkovic.
