  1. there were some positives since most teams will defend with 10 against us for large periods of the game and then try damaging us via counters/set plays. 1. Poch has coached extremely intricate 1-2's around the opponent box which opens up attacking opportunities for us. This breaks their static defend with 10 strategy. However, making the right pass, or shooting at the goal more often has to be encouraged as goal opportunities come very often simply by having the ball pinging around the pen area. chaos is good in this sense. 2. long vertical fast passes upfield which break the lines are an active feature now of our play- which will become even better with game practice. negatives 1. we do not shoot from outside the box enough. So no chances of goalkeeper fumbles, blocks that fall into the path of our attackers, or even corners for set plays. 2. Our set plays have become horrendous. Like wow. so bad. From free kicks to corner routines to corner kick ins - needs major work. 3. Mudryk looks lost against low blocks. it'll take time but all the ingredients for success are there. Not going to be an easy season but lets see where we go from here.
  2. No major sports broadcaster has mentioned this as yet. Hoping it's a few keyboard.ninjas looking for clickbait.
  3. Sanchez James Silva Colwill Chilwell Enzo Caicedo ??? Sterling Jackson Mudryk Sterling since he is our best choice at the moment but find that his contributions are a mixed bag.
  4. Hall was never good enough, neither is maatsen. They're from the academy so I can see the soft spot. In terms of technique, intelligence and overall quality I know he plays on the right, but livramento imo was Chelsea quality. These two in my opinion don't have the necessary attributes to make it at a big club as starters. Even hall at Newcastle wont be first choice in 3 years time. Not saying they are bad players.
  5. Precautionary substitution considering the intensity of this game, from what I have read.
  6. caicedo to liverpool 110 million. wow. to be fair to them they paid up and how!! Edit: well things changed.
  7. Just don't get pounded in this one. No 3-1, 4-1 type score to Brighton. Early days and need to build some confidence. Both teams will be building up their fitness so it's level there.
  8. Broja was back doing light training and continuing his recovery, so while he was targeting the USA tour, they aren't risking it clearly as weather changes, travel along with the exertion might mess up the recovery. James is unwell. Could have been something as simple as an upset stomach. No need to knee jerk with these two. It's fofana who is worrying with another knee injury. Good for colwill I guess. Impress well and he's in.
  9. This front 3 will firmly keep us 12th. Such lack of quality.....
  10. Sure but that's with every player and narratives are usually true, atleast here after the euros. Captain material. Has it all. Now it's up to Chelsea to give their own a fair shot.
  11. Colwill is a product out of our youth system and wasn't as such given a chance , goes out and proves himself to be class, wins euros and is now being watched by all the top clubs . Lots of qualities height left footed leader etc etc. Why shouldnt he be allowed to plan his future, i e. Only in terms of watching out for his playing time. Wherever he goes, apart from Brighton he will have to compete and win his place in the side, including Chelsea and he will know that. So, as long as our boss/any major team manager tells him that he will be given an equal chance vs his other defenders, I'm sure he will stay and compete. The worry here for colwill would be that he could have to begin with random chances in Carling cup etc which are not that often and reserved for lesser proven players Colwill needs to be told that everyone good enough in training will compete for PL football starting positions. He's top tier and the way this forum talks about kdb and salah(early days blah blah). Add colwill to that list if we fuck this up. Reece only got in and established himself because of Lampard giving youngsters equal chances. Colwill needs poch to give him that shot.
  12. How is sterling still allowed to play for us. Terrible player. So so bad. Fuck.
  13. Agent Jorginho! As usual, doing nothing meaningful in the game. But now for arsenal.....
  14. Finally getting rid of Jorginho. Probably one of the players I've hated watching most in Chelsea forever. Will be happy to see him flapping his hands around at Arsenal's players and shouting out instructions throughout the game while doing fuckall. Bye. It's about time.
  15. We feel like a team without a plan and without the quality of players to compete with the opponent. It's all random plays.
  16. Glad Tuchel is gone. Could not stand the terrible brand of football he played and hope boehly and co. Recognised that winning is better when it is based on positive football rather than this rubbish we watched week in week out. Hope the next manager is one who plays positive, attack centric football.
  17. We are in need of a project - a positive attack minded project. That means top to bottom. Can't get in defensive coaches for such a project and cant play negative formations and expect teams to be intimidated.
  18. You can get the most world class players and give them to tuchel but he's been found out. His style of football is so passive and unimaginative that even the best players will lose their spark in his system/style of play. What is the tuchel style of football? Easy passes, try and keep posession and something hopefully happens? What in the living fuck is this shit. We are able to play ourselves out of pressure in defense and that is clearly well coached. I can't find one more thing that is well coached into our team at all. Meanwhile all our players that leave/sold are thriving with their new teams. Hat tricks, goals galore, best defenders etc etc. Tuchel is just dull. I'd rather lose while playing swashbuckling football than this tuchel turd football. Even our wins are such lucky, sad performances that you want to hope something major changes. Bringing players doesn't solve systemic problems.
  19. Headless chickens with zero guts to make risky plays. Boring. Unimaginative. Coached into becoming/remaining aimless idiots.
  20. Never really knew exactly how good Jesus was because of the way he was used sparingly at City. He's the kind of chaotic striker we need. Wildly energetic and in all the right places and runs. If we got him it would have been ideal.
  21. It's not always fair for havertz considering the position he is playing - but have to judge him for the position and expectations linked to that striker position. We have enough players playing shit though.....
  22. Why did Barca get Aubemyang in January? Half a season and they want him gone?(he scored goals for them 13 in 23 appearances - not all as a starter) Moreover he was for free since arsenal cancelled his contract - which if we really wanted can get Barca to do as well considering the fact they want his wages off bigtime. He'll be a necessary addition and a good one too for the next year/18 months. If tuchel would be ready to start Broja as the striker then i wouldnt care of auba came or not but I can't watch any more of havertz as a striker. It's laughable that he's still playing in that position and everyone thinks it's cool. Zero output for the position. Even if Broja would start and be like Lukaku, it's still better to fail playing your position vs failing while being played out of position(havertz).
  23. Even if he does develop to some superstar level player - only then should we pay the extra 20-30 million for him when that time does come. Buying him right now for 60 with huge risks regarding whether he even has it in him or not to become one of the worlds top players is something I can not understand.
  24. Gordon for 60 million has the feels of some under the table Arab money transfer deal. Paying over the odds is an understatement... For 60 million you must get top drawer players. If he is 60, then EPL market is beyond finished. He's an interesting prospect but he will still cost 60 million 2-3 years later even if he does develop to his potential. Paying 60 for someone young with potential but not a Messi level high ceiling is ludicrous.
