  1. Even the media's taken notice http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4250925/Chelsea-have-added-a-touch-of-gold-to-their-traditional-blue-kit-for-next-season.html

  3. Don't agree with that part, yet, but with the rest of your post, yes.
  4. Valid points. I can't understand why he persists with Ramires out wide. Ramires as a winger is far worse than Sturridge and even worse than Kalou or Malouda. 4-2-3-1 is understandably meant to shore up our defense, but its a rather a dull counter-attacking formation when it comes to creating chances. Wish he would mix things up a bit more during matches. Also IMO, I think he's making a mistake if he believes Torres is ready to claim a starting 11 role in all of our big games. His form is still patchy, and a couple of bad games might be enough to undo all the good work done so far over the past couple of weeks.
  5. I don't know about any priorities but he's definitely a cause for worry. He plays very well against generally weaker opposition and creates an impression that he's back in form, and falters a couple of games later. I just hope he doesn't last here longer than he needs to.
  6. And guess what? Even the linesman gets the boot! Why? Because the decision was in favour of Chelsea and not the other way around.
  7. Ramires should never part of a front 3. Ever.
  8. Better to watch than Torres-Kalou these days even if there's rarely an end product....
  9. True, but hasn't this been a trend this season? In the old days, weaker teams would give up nearly all hope once the bigger side takes the lead...Nowadays they keep fighting as long as they're still in the game forcing the bigger sides to make mistakes. Having said that, our inability to hold onto a 1 goal lead for more than 45 mins is embarrassing.
  10. I see what you mean...you could try asking one of the mods to put up for you later...
  11. Hardly a surprise after the duration of his previous slump.....he's obviously going to blow hot and cold from now on, unless the team itself undergoes a dramatic upheaval in form.
  12. These should be posted in the first page of the post match threads....
  13. Ramires should never be played on the wing...and Kalou should have been subbed in the 2nd half.
  14. Just hope Ramires is never played on the wing again, nor Kalou playing the whole 90 mins... Still a useful result though.
  15. Of course there are similarities, I'm just saying we deal with opposition team visitors in a more friendly manner on this forum. They aren't looked down upon.
  16. Hmm...I was going through the thread, and there was a Chelsea fan who introduced himself in a friendly way, yet 2 out of 3 of their members replied with a very condescending tone. I' haven't seen stuff like that on this thread.
  17. Dempsey's goal scoring stats are pretty impressive this season...15 from 32 PL games, if I'm correct....Those are Lampard-esque numbers...
  18. Well said. And JT has said something along those lines as well. This isn't about revenge, we have a job to do and Barcelona are just in our way. Simple as that.
  19. I was talking about Barcelona the team. I don't care about their fanboys or the crooning media. I'm pretty sure once this team starts to falter, all these extraneous characters will melt into the background. As far as the team goes I'll agree with only two of those points you mentioned: the Fabregas affair and the playacting. The playacting is something I can't stand because that sort of team doesn't need to resort to such tactics to win games. However, its something a lot of players, even our own, do in matches. We often let it slide when it comes to the bigger sides.
  20. Call me biased towards Drogba or whatever, but the guy can't be put into the same category as the other two. He still has a BIG role to play for us this season and cannot be left on the bench for ALL the remaining matches. In case you didn't notice he was heavily involved in today's winner as well, and would've been on the scoresheet were it not for a few good saves.
  21. I wouldn't go that far...performed well today, though.
  22. I hate it when the fans boo their own players... Granted Sturridge was terrible today, but those fans aren't helping him like that..Let the manager do the criticizing.
