I know all the positives and whatnot behind it. I'm a selfish man, I'd rather look at a nice kit from Umbro or Le Coq other a template from Nike cuz that is what a club gets from 'em.

Pick the company that has the most socially and economically friendly third-world sweat shops. Goddammit, I want my Chinese peasants drinking at least 5% clean water.

Isn't that a Scissor Sisters' album?

Maybe at the end of the day, I just don't care. The type of people that end up following a team because of the brand exposure aren't the type of people I want to associate with. People who place too much stock into branding, sponsorships and marketing are also people that I don't want to associate with. I don't care now, I won't care in the future. It is the culmination of loss of identity and loss of 'soul' of every football team. Besides, any company is elevated by Chelsea, especially if it's the likes of Umbro, Le Coq (best brand) or whatever second tier. Warrior is primarily a hockey brand. They are by no means a small company. Heard of New Balance? Yeah of course you have, they are NB's hockey brand. Liverpool was literally their first foray into football.

Looks like everyone's collective anal clench was pre-emptive (or so it seems).

Chelsea is the brand, not Adidas or Nike. As long as distribution remains the same, it matters not the creator. People don't buy Chelsea because of Adidas' little three stripes on the chest.

I know it's a important deal but some of the mummering you'd think that this is the end!

Chelsea will probably be relegated next season due to the 'sponsorship curse of 16'. More evil and dastardly than the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Cubs put together. Prepare for a century of Championship football. Everyone will forget the club exists and it's international fanbases will disappear over night.Yokohama Tyres will go bankrupt and Roman will lose his fortune in a game of black jack.

You are the biggest fucking drama queen, Jesus Christ.

Any of you berks got a vid of that Hazard goal?

I ban the piece of shit every few days, but he keeps coming back. How pathetic and desperate is he to post on a bloody Chelsea forum? Talk about the mindset of a booty blasted child.

Fuck Nike and fuck Adidas.

I think about that all the time. Metaphorically burned into my mind's eye.

Hey, I never said that any of them succeeded but he has tried with a couple.

Young unproven players are getting minutes, Kenedy, Traore, Loftus-Cheek and others are on the horizon. The club has gotten a coach that has a history of using youngesters and a mix of robust physicality and technicality. I feel this is the most optimistic the club has looked going forward in a long time. Nothing is smooth sailing and nothing will always go the club's way but this is very promising from my outlook. The club has to juggle the future with the now, it cannot forsake too much of the present for the sake of the future and vice versa. It's a very difficult position and I hope Conte can handle it. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. There must be a sacrifice.

Yeah 22 is also a fair number. Suarez and Aguero would be my two strikers. Shame that Aguero is made out of some sort of plasticine.
-
What is their direction then? Spend millions and millions of pounds to have a team that passes between the midfield and defence for 70 mins per game? The new season with a new coach hasn't even started and it's been written off as direction less? That is premature. Hell the club had a very obvious transfer and philosophy before Mourinho was brought back for whatever inane reason. Hey! We've spent the last several years scouting and buying technical and young players like Kevin de Bruyne, Juan Mata, Oriol Romeu, Andre Schurrle, Eden Hazard, Oscar among dozens of other players sent on loan. I know let's get a coach that is known for his pragmatic football, short term thinking and reluctance to play non-established players. From my perspective that is still the direction. With players like Pato, Pedro, Fabregas, and Wilian being bought. The club just needs a correct coach.
-
So you are upset about the fact people didn't get a chance to cheer during the last match? Why not cheer regardless if they mean so much to you. I'm sure those players are smart enough to realise over their decade long careers how much they mean to the Chelsea faithful. Everybody comes and goes but those players have signs, banners and chants that have been dedicated to them over the years.
-
So the millions paid, all the matches played, leadership duties and all around faith and stock placed into players like Lampard, Drogba, Terry and Cole isn't thanks enough? What would you do? A testimonial? A statue? Geez, the club thought so highly of Drogba they brought him back a second time. It's obvious the club respects it's players and it needn't prove it to the masses with a testimonial. Robbie di Matteo, Paulo Ferreira, Eddie Newton, and other former players have all had backroom jobs with the club.
-
Haha, you mean he is driving up his transfer and wages by letting another club into the circus. He will never come here, Chelsea is just a name dropping tool for his agent. Unless of course, Chelsea over pay and he really, really likes working with Conte. When and where did he say this? Hard to believe a picture like this when it has no reference.

World Class is such a stupid subjective and vague term. What is the definition of world class? Is my definition different to yours? What are the requirements? What about your own personal biases? Personally there are only XI world class players at any given time. Diego Costa is not the best striker in the world, I'd have to gamble and say Luis Suarez is.
