With Ronaldo I see a top athlete and a naturally gifted athlete. He has worked for his physique and fitness but you can tell that he has some fantastic genetics. The combination of height, speed, strength and agility is unreal. I don't like how he plays at Real Madrid though. Just a glamorous fox in the box. I think he would have been fine if not for the injuries, maybe not a starter but good enough to be getting serious minutes in the less stressful games. He was indeed getting minutes right before that injury and I'd dare so the coaching at Chelsea would have been more beneficial than wherever he has been at loan. Another missed opportunity but it happens.

Everytime he has dived with the ball in the penalty box. I can't think of any exactly (I could be remembering wrong, from last season), but I'm sure that he has chances to at least get the ball on target but he has fucked up by taking a touch or diving. I disagree with that entirely. Diego Costa could easily have the same amount of goals as Mahrez or Igalho if his form were better. He has had the chances, he has screwed them up. Costa gets ample service for a player of his 'calibre'.

He got enough chances last year to score 20+ goals. So I imagine if he and the team ever get back on their feet he'll be scoring again.

There is nothing I hate more than seeing someone trying to justify a striker's bad form and performances on the rest of the team. Well, guess what? A bad striker affects the rest of the team just as much; it makes wingers look bad for instance, if their striker isn't finishing their crosses and passes. Diego Costa has been terrible and it is not because of the team, it is because he has been terrible. It doesn't help that the team is pretty bad too. He gets his chances and does nothing with them.
