I only say 'we' or 'us' when I get really lazy otherwise I will always refer to Chelsea as Chelsea. I generally dislike referring to myself as the same entity as a sports team. 'We/us' makes little sense to outside of a fan context (I identify with the supporters of the club not the club itself). 'We were all upset when Sunderland won'. This is fine by me, as I am one of many supporters that feels this way. However: 'We should buy Arturo Vidal'. I very much dislike sentences like this as I have little to nothing to do with transfers or any other activity concerning the club. I much prefer reading 'Jose should buy Arturo Vidal'.

The vitriol the Chelsea get is absolutely amazing. The hatred literally oozes from pundits, forums and every other media outlet in the world. The venom has reached a fever point after the Atletico Madrid match as apparently it's disgraceful to play defensive minded football and appreciate football in a way that differs from attacking like mindless coyotes. Well, are Chelsea the most vilified and despised club in Europe?

He is very old now, but even without my green and gold tinted glasses I will say that he was one of the better goalkeepers in the world of the last decade. Very good back up and I hope he hangs around for a while longer.
