  1. Last night was for Ossie-The King of Stamford Bridge R.I.P
  2. Great game last night and what a result. Hopefully now we can build on this, remain unbeaten, finish as high as we can in the table and go fucking hell for leather in the Champions League. Our season certainly isn't over yet . PS:To Arsenal fans.Don't thank us all at once!
  3. Good point BL.We didn't need to break sweat, came through 'injury free' and with the weekend off (thanks to Birmingham) we can now focus on derailing Man United. That will breed confidence back,in it's own right!.
  4. Decent result, well taken goals by Anelka and excellent work rate from Torres. His goals will come soon. A good night all round. Onwards and upwards!
  5. The Atlas(Seagrave Road) isn't a bad pub,or the Prince Of Wales and Lilly Langtry (Brompton Road).Used to drink in the So,but tend to drink away from the ground nowadays.
  6. Now that Roma have sacked Ranieri i honestly can't see Carlo staying now as Roma is his first love and Carlo isn't getting any younger. More mess for the board to clear up,as they are the one's who got us in this mess. I've always said i want Ancelotti to stay and i stick by that statement.
  7. I done a bit of research G,and that's what would happen. The 4th place team would miss out on a champions league place if the 5th place team won it,as the holders have to defend their trophy. This ruling would apply in any other nation as well.UEFA made this ruling in 2005 after the same happened to Liverpool. Only snag is we would have to start our qualifying campaign in June/July,but with no major International tournament this year it wouldn't be too much of a hurdle!.
  8. Let's get Copenhagen out the way first, and assuming we get through,we just have to hope the draw is kind to us-ie:being drawn away in the 1st leg is always appreciated. The champions league could well be a welcome distraction for us as we know that's all we have to play for. Ideal senario would be for us to win the CL,finish 5th in the Prem, and the Yids finish 4th,that would deny them a champions league place next season. In Hannibal Smith's words-"i love it when a plan comes together"!!.
  9. All the Chelsea groups on facebook are littered with calls from people asking for Carlo to be sacked. One is forgiven for ignoring these comments as they're mostly posted from people overseas and who've never set foot inside Stamford Bridge!.
  10. Aah yes.ESPN and their mini piano. They're not entitled to the stadium studio as that is shared between Sky and ITV they should be nicked for bunking in!
  11. Teams have sussed out how we play, plus we've lost our pace in midfield.Did you notice how Everton overcrowded the midfield area yesterday?-and how they pressured us on the ball, not giving us any time whatsoever.Leighton Baines was dangerous too with his crossing ability and Shaemus Coleman at times having the upper hand over Ashley Cole. We were also awfuly slow in getting off the mark.35 minutes till we registered our first effort on goal, albeit a half chance. Had of Saha played yesterday we would of got well and truly trumped!.
  12. I know a few gobby gooners, one of them being my younger brother-but i just give them a dry slap and then everything's ok.
  13. Try telling that to the Chelsea board and the gloryhunters!
  14. I made that point in another thread. It's all all Gourlay's fault and the board's fault for their meddling.
  15. Is that an Ian Holloway quote Greg?
  16. I personally don't want Ancelotti to be sacked, but with the current situation (and let's remember Scolari got sacked for a lot less)-i can't see Ancelotti remaining at Chelsea. It's obvious he has no control over the team like he used to,or should have.If he did he would of most certainly challenged the Chelsea board over the disgraceful sacking of Ray Wilkins as any manager worthy of his No2 would. People notice how isolated Carlo feels in the dugout?.I'd like to see Paulo Maldini installed as Carlo's No2.they worked together at Milan and i'm sure they would form a great alliance at Chelsea. Either that or do the decent thing and send Gourlay on a grovelling mission to bring back Wilkins as it's because of Gourlay that we are in this mess.
  17. That campaign has been going on since the 1980's,after the Sun gave a very disturbing but somewhat true account of the Hillsbrough disaster.
  18. Worse decision i've had to make since the x factor final.... Ok,I've chosen Arsenal, simple fact is that i hate Man U more.I don't really hate Arsenal, never really had reason to hate Arsenal, not as much as i hate West Ham,Tottenham,Liverpool,Leeds and Man U. but i still think Wenger and Fabregas are cunts of the highest order and i will be forgiven one day for making this post!
  19. Penalties is not a nice way to go out,in saying that we should of taken our chances as we were the better team even though it did take us a good half hour to get into gear. Not sure about Everton's free kick that led to the equaliser, but in all honesty we should of beaten them and we only have ourselves to blame.
  20. It's a no-brainer Drogba will leave in the summer. He's too old to be used in a rotational role and if we can get £5/6m for him that'll be nice, and as Esk said, there's no point getting sentimental over this.
  21. This is a game we could of done without, especially with our Champions League 1st leg game on Tuesday. Carlo will definetley have to reshuffle his pack as Torres is cup-tied and some players key for Tuesday night shouldn't be risked tomorrow. Everton have nothing to lose but are gagging for a Europa League place next season. They will be up for this game. I predict a very scrappy game and a late Chelsea goal.Extra time may be required. 1-0 Chelsea.
  22. This competition is Carlo's only hope of hanging on to his job.and while Man U,Arsenal-and dare i say Tottenham are still fighting it our in the Premier League there is less pressure on us now for the Champions League. We should ease past Copenhagen, after that it's anyone's guess to who lies in wait for the quarter finals and beyond, but as Esk said, establishing some kind of form and getting the 'fear factor' back must be top of our priorities. Ancelotti knows he has a job to do in the Champions League as that was why he was chosen as manager. But he could be in a no win situation anyway. Back in early 2000,Del Bosque won the Champions League for Real Madrid but was still handed his P45. Madness!!
  23. Not meaning to state the obvious, but It would help if Ancelotti actually kept Torres on the pitch for 90 minutes it would help if Ancelotti played the formation to fit Torres in. Torres needs another 1 or 2 games to find his scoring form.He can't play Saturday(cup-tied) but hopefully Copenhagen take the backlash of Torres's frustration. Have patience.
  24. Where's Fatty Foulkes in the poll?.Ok,a bit before all our time, bbb but Steve Francis,Steve Sherwood,Peter Broata,Dave Beasant? Seriously,Cudicini gets my vote for his patience. Not once did he whinge at being Chelsea's No2 and when he was called upon,he never let us down.Shame he never played enough games to get a Premiership winners medal.
