  1. Almost every article on Goal.com is from another source, not sure why links to Goal.com is prohibited on this forum. Always puzzled by that. Not too familiar with Tribal-football but i think it is the same on their site.
  2. There is a ignore user option on this forum, some people should really use it if they are so much bothered.
  3. He didn't play against MLS All-Stars, most likely RDM will continue to play Mikel, Essien, Meireles, and Lampard in the 2 deep midfield roles against Milan. I hope this is not repeat of last season, where he had a wasted season. In the first half he didn't play much competitive football for either for the first team or the reserves. The lack of fitness and competitive football resulted in a poor loan spell at Swansea. I hope we don't make the same mistake. I really wouldn't understand the logic of him going on the American tour, if he does end up going on loan. He would have far more benefited from playing preseason with a club he is going to go on loan with, he would have the opportunity to impress the manger and get a better understanding with his teammates. If the case is him going on loan then we are not putting him in the best position to succeed. If Di Matteo does end up playing McEachran to rotate with Lampard, then i feel that would the best thing for all parties. But i am not optimistic.
  4. Does anyone else notice how much more attacking Lampard has been in preseason? I notice he tries to get more in attacking positions and position himself to receive the ball higher up on the pitch. I hope and probably it is because of preseason, but our buildups will suffer this season if he doesn't correct this.
  5. Thought he was really good for the reserves whenever i saw him play, he really has improved in midfield. he should go on loan
  6. Pastore is amazingly inconsistent, don't be fooled by his decent performance against us.
  7. Can't understand why anyone would want that, at least give an explanation. Remember when we were linked with Neymar two summers ago, we made a bid for him around 20m and most thought that was unreasonable. Now he is one of the biggest star of the game and tipped to be the best player in the world in the future. Not to mention he is very marketable and generates a lot of money for its club. If he was available and willing to move atm he would easily be worth 40m. City, Madrid, Barca, and us would be an massive biding war for him. If Oscar was to stay another year and it would only be reasonable for his club to prolong his move after the 2014 world cup. He will get a lot more exposure by then, he would participate in the confederation cup and be a main player for the home side in the world cup. Oscar status will only improve he will only become more expensive and attract more clubs as time goes on. I have seen a lot of Oscar even i am surprised how fast his reputation is improving and the money he is speculated going for. His reputation is going to improve mainly because he is Brazil most most important player and Mano system will crumble without him. He is going to be very expensive and we will regret not signing him.
  8. We have good training methods and Thorgan will train with elite players everyday. It is a good move for him.
  9. Took notice of Oscar a while back and rated him very highly. I praised him a few times on this forum well before Spurs and eventually Chelsea were linked with him. Another player i rate at his position is Paulinho, but he would have difficulty getting a permit. Kinda predicated before the Brazilian friendlies, that he was going to get the attention of Europe and matter of time before major European clubs came calling. I really didn't expect him going for anything close to 25 pounds, i really see him living up to that expectation, but still at this point 25 pounds is really not justified and a major gamble. excluding his price and all that said i am very happy with his signing.
  10. I have read some fine articles on we ain't got no history, but this not one of them. The author is speculating on Emenalo role and boosting about his accomplishments without any evidence. Chelsea management is very complex and Emenalo role is vaguely descried. I don't believe anyone outside of Chelsea hierarchy know what part Emenalo has taken in recent changes and transfers. He maybe doing a good job, but no one in the outside can know.
  11. So...there are no quotes just merely on your own assumptions? Is your assumption that "he stalled" because "Real stepped in" reported by anyone somewhat reliable or by anyone for that matter? Media are mainly speculating it is due to length of contract. Furthermore Pr22 logic is purely false that he claims since Maicon prefers Madrid he goes on to say "If a player doesn't want to join us then I wouldn't even want him at the club." It is false to assume since he prefers destination A that he wouldn't want to join destination B. I prefer to live in Chicago rather then New York, doesn't mean i wouldn't like to live in New York. I rather sleep with Kate Upton, by no mean i would reject a night with Megan Fox. As things stand Maicon is not a Chelsea player he can prefer whatever team, if he was employed by Chelsea and expressed his desire to play for Madrid that is different at that point i wouldn't want him at the club either. Do we know if Mata #1 choice was Chelsea? his father offered him to Barca last summer, would he had prefer to play for them? IDK I'll let you speculate. How about Hazard? Would he had prefer to play for Madrid if they were hard after him, again i'll let you speculate. I could go on and on.
  12. Do you have any quotes from Maicon or his agents to backup your claim?
  13. Reus is a much bigger talent then Schurrle and he went for 18m, it would be criminal if Schurrle went for more.
  14. I made numerous mentions of Oscar few months back, i hope it happens. At the very least i hope he doesn't end up at Spuds, he is way too good for them.
  15. Mou used Balo or Adriano a lot alongside Ibra, you don't remember that? With Barca, their other two forward Messi and Pedro played inside forwards, they both make a lot striker type runs. It is not even a question that he plays as a SS/AM for Milan. Watch their games i guarantee you Ibra always drops into midfield, facilitate passes, and create chances for others. He has completed about the same amount of passes as Mata.
  16. Torres and Ibra are not even comparable, not sure how much you seen of Ibra but he is more like a AM/SS then ST. He barely plays as a lone striker, he is very similar to Wayne Rooney. Likes to play off the shoulder of a striker, same how Rooney plays off Chicharito and Welback. Wouldn't mind seeing Torres leave, but that is not happening and that is clear as day unfortunately. Sure they can play together, 4-2-2-2 is a possibility, evermore since both Mata and Hazard likes to drift in and out. --------Torres---Ibrahimovic---------- Mata------------------------Hazard -------Lampard---Mikel-------- Will they play together? probably not because this a BS rumor. I read article from the same site, saying AC Milan are interested in Andy Carroll. Oh and some here think Ibra would play second fiddle to Torres? Not even at his Liverpool form could he bench Ibra. That is very disrespectful to Ibra and his talents.
  17. Not sure how you came to that conclusion, when Ibra is clearly not a lone striker and for the most part he has played along another striker. I would clearly welcome Ibra.
  18. I only consider Romeu and Meireles his true buys, and influenced their signings. Courouis, Lukaku, and De Bruyne for that matter were players we were heavily linked with much before AVB was appointed. Guys like Piet De Visser were much more influential.
  19. From the victor mosses thread Don't care for your fanboism, in matter of fact i have no problem with it. But that doesn't warrant slating Sturridge in every opportunity in a mean to make Torres look more favorable. You can have your opinion and criticism of Sturridge, even though i think they are harsh. But it is quite disgusting to throw bricks at another Chelsea player in order to praise another. Torres and Sturridge are independent of one of each other, it doesn't have to be Torres vs Sturridge one can admire one without shitting on the other. They seem to fear Sturridge will bench Torres, which is why most of them hope he is sold.
  20. One of the more baffling phenomenon on this forum, i can never understand why some people have such a high regard for Torres while in the same time a low opinion of Sturridge. Note: i am quite aware of HKNS history of affection for Torres and his harsh criticism of Sturridge. Why is it some of Torres extreme fans always slate Sturridge and wishing he gets sold?
  21. Playing time weighs heavily for Benayoun, more then you suggest. If it wasn't the case then why was he sent on loan? Isn't it obvious that he asked AVB to sent him on loan because he didn't expect to be used much.
  22. Shevchenko is said to be interested in pursuing a coaching career after he retires, and according to reports in Ukraine, he will be offered a role working with the Chelsea youth team, along with some scouting duties in Eastern Europe. 23. Of course that wont happen, instead he will rot in the U21 On a serious not i have no information on this kid, but £4m seems very steep for a 16 year old.
