  1. For the price being quoted I feel Koke is a better alternative personally. Given the success Spanish imports are having in the premier league, that sways me more towards the spaniard.
  2. What aspect of his game do you find overrated and what midfielder would you rather have in his price range
  3. "Two or three bad games in a row away" I have bolded the key word for you
  4. If we had a competent no 10/AM (Fabregas doesn't count) that would soften the blow significantly the same way Costa has helped us cope with/forget about Sturridge. Hopefully we rectify that in the summer.
  5. He's two or three bad games in a row away from getting dropped to the bench. Now that he's signed his contract, Jose has no reason to give him preferential treatment especially when there's a world class and reliable GK on the bench.
  6. He's had 3 seasons to settle to the league and He's been giving the AM role without any competition. There can't be any excuses for his inconsistency anymore. A starting Am at a club like chelsea shouldn't be struggling to control the ball and completing easy passes nevermind be incapable of influencing games offensively.
  7. City drop point and we are 7 pts ahead. That's all that matters right now. good weekend. Just need an everton win against the scum to cap it off.
  8. is this a confirmation that we are totally reliant on Fabregas and Costa offensively?
  9. Shocking to think we actually look like losing to one of the worst teams in the league
  10. And still no changes from jose wtf. Thibo fumbles the ball again.
  11. And as I posted that they score. It's been coming
  12. There's no way we are keeping a clean sheet if this continues
  13. I challenge everyone to a drinking game. Have a sip of wine (any alcohol of your choice) everytime Oscar makes a bad pass or gives away posession and Ivanovic is caught out of position during the game and let's see who's the last man standing at the end of the 90.
  14. We are so determined to help villa break their goal drought
  15. If we fail to win this game the blame has to fall on jose for his team selection. Reemy and zouma should have started instead of cahill and didier. And please remove oscar at halftime
  16. He's not slow enough.seeing as pace is the reason jose gave for picking hi against pool. He will be back the next time we face a pacy team
  17. What else is new. "He fits the system" so its alright.
  18. If Kane is just a one season wonder (only time will tell) What a season he's having. If he continues this form, Sturridge's place in the NT must be under threat. Wellbeck is untouchable in Hogdson's team given his record
  19. They don't call him penaldo for nothing. the sheer amount of penalty madrid are awarded per season is ridiculous.
  20. Again this is inaccurate. Below are the list of experienced (Non youth) players at the start of 2010 season and the current season for comparison 2010-Cech, Hilario,Terry,Alex,Cole,Ivanovic,Bosingwa, ferreira,Benayoun,Essien,Lampard,Mikel, ramires,Zhirhov, malouda,Kalou,Anelka,Drogba 2015-Thibo,Cech,Ivanovic,Filipe,Terry,Azpilicueta,Cahilll, ramires, fabregas,Hazard,Oscar,Mikel,Matic, willian, schurrle,Costa,Drogba, salah, remy That's 18 for 2010 and 19 for 2014/15 meaning we started the current season with only one more experienced player than the season you were referring to. Is it then safe to conclude that if (according to your statement) we left the squad bare thin and replaced experienced with untested youth, the same should also apply to the current season? I'm just using your logic against you here. The right conclusion to draw from this is, we bought better players and have a better core and balance now than in 2010 and that amongst other things is the reason for the huge contrast in performance and result between both seasons. The small squad and youth argument does not wash I'm afraid
  21. this is revisionism at its best. We replaced the experienced players that left that season with experience and not with kids. Ramires replaced Ballack, David Luiz replaced Carvalho, Benayoun replaced deco, Torres replaced Joe cole. The real reason for our slump was because all of these signings bar Ramires (who btw didn't hit the ground running) were poor signings and we were very unlucky with injuries. Most of the senior players were out injured, Drogba, our most reliable striker, battled with malaria while Cech and JT decided to have a slump/run of bad form. How many games did the youth start that season? I can only recall Kakuta away to Villa where he was subbed at half time anyway for an experienced Zhirhov and Bruma at Home to Villa again. How some of you always try to blame the youth whenever they get a rare opportunity for bad result, nevermind bad season is astonishing. Were the youth also to blame for the catastrophe that ensued the following season under AVB?
