  1. Assuming fabregas is fit and Costa's ban takes effect before the game, I would go with something like this Thibo Brana Zouma JT Azpi Matic Ramires Willian Fabregas Hazard Remy
  2. That moment when people make rude assumptions
  3. @CFC888 I was going to reply to your post and then I noticed your avi picture and favourite player and suddenly it all makes sense How you are defending Oscar so passionately and that it would simply be a waste of time to engage you in this debate.
  4. If we applied that logic, every transfer will seem reasonable and justifable. If andy carroll was worth £35m then James is worth £63m and so on. Whatever happened to making shrewed and sensible signings like the Costa and fabregas ones. Just because we overpayed for willian doesn't make it OK to overpay for Cuadrado.
  5. So you want us to spend 35m euros on a squad player?
  6. Thank God. I'm hoping this deal collapses just as I did with the Hulk, paulinho and Guarin ones.
  7. I would rather we promote Boga instead. He has just as much talent, if not more than Sterling. The solution isn't to always buy buy buy. We should look inward and use the resources we already have every now and then.
  8. Coutinho singlehandedly destroyed our midfield, It was embarrassing to watch. And the fact that some people still see him as inferior to Oscar proves just how underrated a player he is.
  9. If He fulfills most people's suspicion/prediction and turns out to be just another energetic winger with little goal threat aka another Willian, someone at the club, be it Jose or emenalo will have some questions to answer. We don't have the luxury of making bad buys or unneccessary buys anymore. we have enough energy on the wing already, we need genuine quality/end prodcut.
  10. There's a part of we that wants to keep him because when on form, He's a genuine goal threat who gives us movement and goals (his record speaks for itself, he scores goals) but the problem is, He doesn't have the type of luxury a player like Oscar has to play himself back into form. oscar can play like absolute crap for multiple games and still retain his place or atleast not get demoted to the bench permanently. I would like to see us give him a run of games before selling to make sure we wouldn't be making the same mistakes we made with sturridge and De Bryune. I'm I alone here. I mean this guy has shown his goal scoring pedigree and he's just out of form at the moment and/or having a bad season imo. It's difficult to regain form as a squad player at Chelsea since the manager rarely rotate and we cannot afford to show too much lenniency except in rare circumstances and I think this is one of those rare circumstances.
  11. starting? Where have you been for the past 3 seasons?
  12. No we respond to productivity, all round performance and consistency. He may have respectable level of productivity so far this season but he seriously lacks the other two. Even in some games where he scores/assist a goal, his all round performance has been woeful or average at best.
  13. The timing of this does look very suspicious though. I can't recal the last time FA charged a player within 24 hours of an incident. They usually wait for about a week or so. They are very determined to see Costa miss the City game.
  14. Jose and costa both charged within the space of 24 hours. Not good. We have just as much responsibility to improve our disciplinary record. If you don't give the FA a reason or excuse to charge you, they can't
  15. This process usually takes longer to take effect doesn't it. They still have to decide his punishment and He still has to respond/appeal the decision. This is just a charge, so should still be available for the city game.
  16. Even if it works for him, the negative outweighs the positive. We are already unlikeable as it is, why further damage our reputation. I doubt the board would support it given the potential negative repercussion it can have on revenue.
  17. We have a dick in our ranks people!
  18. That doesn't look intentional to you?
  19. While I'm not bothered at all about Cuadrado and Douglas, I do think we are taking FFP compliance too far. surely we can afford to spend up to 50m and still be within the limits if the fees are ammortised without having to sell players to fund it. We are playing it too safe honestly.
  20. Did we just win the league or UCL? I was more happy that we beat Liverpool more than going to wembley for some insignificant COC. If it was the FA cup, I can understand. That banner and over the top celebration by Jose and the players were embarrassing to be honest. win the cup first atleast.
  21. Difference is Charlie Austin has always had a fantastic goal scoring record. He's scored 20,12,16,24,19,13 and still counting in each of his 6 seasons as a pro. Whether he can replicate it at a top club is the only question but there's only one way to find out.
  22. i can tolerate Zouma making a few mistakes as it's a learning curve for him and He has scope for improvement. cahill on the otherhand is already in his prime and has no excuse for his shambolic defending at times.
  23. is he still on course to become "one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe in a few years" or . . . . . ..
