When an opponent game plans specifically to focus on stopping one player that's what happens. Fellaini slaughtered them in the first meeting and would've again if Everton had anyone else to ease the burden. For instance, if Fellaini was in our side United wouldn't have kept him as quiet because they'd have Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Moses ect to contain as well. Everton only really have Fellaini and Baines.

If we're talking about strikers with huge effort and drive who runs constantly and is a constant threat, why not a cheeky bid for Suarez? The absolute best at that. Sure he'd be tempted to play in London, with other world class players, in the CL(hopefully!) and on bigger wages. He's gotta be growing tired of being the ONLY option on his team and having to do all of the work at Liverpool. They won't be in the CL once again. I'd rather pay £45m for Suarez who is a proven world class player the premier league than Falcao at this point if it means we'd be giving Atletico Courtois.
-
----------Falcao/Lukaku---------- --Moses-Mata-Hazard-- ---Fellaini---Oscar/Ramires--- New LB-Cahill-Luiz-Azpi --------Courtois------- Realistic and balanced.
-
I'd rather just keep Courtois and pay a higher fee for Falcao than knocking the price down by including Courtois. The club should take the same stance on Courtois as we here do with Mata. Not to be sold under any circumstances.
-
Just saw a Chelsea supporter posting over on Redcafe(Manc forum) that the Sky Sports "La Liga experts" just said we have or will offer Atletico £35m and Courtois for Falcao. DON'T DO IT, CHELSEA! Courtois is invaluable to us.
-
He's like Wilshere. The FA have a special clause with the ref's not to book those two unless its an extreme circumstance.Seriously. Watch how many bad tackles Wilshere puts in and never gets booked.
-
Just frustrating that we're arguably better than United position for position in all but of the 2 of the most important areas: Striker and Manager. Add a world class striker in the mould of RvP and a manager that has a fucking clue and we'd be competing with them. Pray we remain in the top 4 and roll on summer!
-
Usual United game against a decent side. Outplayed largely but have absolutely clinical finishers to score the chances they do create. Jealous of them having a striker who you EXPECT to score every game.
-
Wouldn't be against fielding our weakest possible side. This competition is just a big distraction. We have City in the league next and need all of our best players rested and healthy.
-
Are we going to finish in the top 4? - Achieved!

If we'd have beaten that god awful QPR, held on to that 2-0 lead against Reading, and not choked away the lead last week we'd be in 2nd and out of sight of Arse, Spuds, and Everton. Those results will likely haunt us later on. I'd bite your hand off if you offered me 4th right now, even if it meant that fucking AVB and the one man team Spurs finished a spot above us. -
That's the worst OG I've ever seen. PLEASE let City be this poor when we play them! We'd only be a point behind them if we were to win!
-
For the love of all that is right in this world, don't wait until they score to make subs. Be proactive instead of reactive for once Rafa.
-
We look absolutely shit and hopeless without Mata. Outplayed by Wigan at home so far.
-
Just like with Arse last season, take Bale off of Spurs and they're midtable. So annoying.
-
It was questionable before, but if he loses now whilst fielding this lineup he's gone for sure.
-
Just watch. Newcastle played their best game of the season against us and now they'll get bummed by Spurs. Just our luck.
-
Those highlights from the friendly on the last page are ridiculous. Belgium look scary good. Makes me giddy that KdB, Hazard, Lukaku, and Courtois are all ours. Every single one of them should be regular Chelsea first XI players next season. As someone suggested, imagine if we had Witsel. The chemistry and fluidity of all of these Belgians playing together would be immense. We really can avoid spending silly money this summer by just using these guys, getting Torres the fuck out, and buying a Witsel/Fellaini type. We'd be an absolute force.
-
By in the middle of the pitch I was referring to Lampard's position. He's everything we want Lamps to be right now. Offers creativity and vision and tracks back well and isn't shy to put a tackle in. That's where I see him when Frank moves on.
-
What should happen: 4-0 goal difference padder What probably will happen: 0-0 draw Just remember guys, whenever we expect our boys to go out there and handle business just figure the opposite will happen. We'll see Bertrand and Oscar on the wings, Torres up front, and Rafa's dumbass will "rest" Hazard and tell the media after the game that he lost a bit of fitness during his suspension even though he just played for Belgium. Put nothing past this guy.
-
Maybe this just the eye opener Rafa needs to realize that Oscar belongs in the middle of the pitch with the freedom to go forward when the opportunity presents itself rather than wasting his talent out wide on the wing. With Hazard and Moses coming back this should be the case. Though knowing this twit of a manager, he'll go back to benching him like he did when he took over. Just imagine what some Mourinho coaching could do for the likes of Oscar and Hazard. Stuff of dreams.
-
Yeah, not gonna happen. He's going nowhere. Roman should have each board member assassinated if Courtois is lost.
-
Fucking hell. What's this the 3rd injury within the span of a month for Cech? Hopefully he'll be fit to play this weekend.
-
I can't do it. Just can't.I they can get past Madrid we may see them win the treble.
-
Don't know why you're so concerned about this. You should want Liverpool to win and get decisions so it doesn't look as embarrassing for us again with City and United 20+ points ahead of us. Fuck City. Let them get hosed by the refs like we always do.
-
Hes been absolutely brilliant for Liverpool since his transfer. Just like a lot of us here thought he'd be. He'll score loads for them.
