Yes, but for someone who's touted as a potential all time transfer record signing you'd expect him to be a global superstar who would sell millions of shirts worldwide, score unbelievable amounts of goals, and makes the players around him better.This was Bale's best ever season and his stats were worse than Theo Walcott. And the only reason he scored as many as he did was because there wasn't anyone else in his side to score them. If you're paying Ronaldo money or even more, I'd expect to have a player who is unstoppable and transcends the game. In our games with them this season he was largely invisible.

The most overrated player in history. Has 2 traits that are world class: pace and a great long shot. I think we'd walk the league with Ibra. I disagree with people saying it would be bad business. You can think of him as a 2 season rental. If we can sell Torres, we can recall Lukaku and have him learn and play with one of the all time greats in Ibra for a season or two and then be ready. While I'd love Cavani, he'd be here for 5+ years and Lukaku would never be 1st choice, whereas Ibra is nearing the end of his career.

It's a bit frustrating that we're focusing so much time and effort into a player that isn't really seen as a super talent. I haven't heard of any other top side wanting him. Obviously there's shit going down that we don't know about, but I wish we would here about some concrete links with players we actually need. Wish we'd get deals done quickly. It'll be pretty annoying if City manage to get Cavani soon too in addition to Fernandinho and Navas before we make a single signing.
