I agree that there's no way we're signing him, but that old football saying that you can never have too much quality applies to this situation.Di Maria is so good and so versatile that if he's available you should go for him. He can play multiple positions at a world class level. Scores goals, has ridiculous pace, tremendous work rate, and will contribute to all aspects of play. Worked with José before and knows what to expect from his playing a style. He's in that Pogba category of players for me that are dream signings and could probably be had if we were genuinely interested, but there's no chance we'll actually go for them. It's gonna be terrible seeing him with the Mancs.

Wouldn't surprise me to see both Khedira and Di Maria end up at United.
-
Apparently just confirmed by Ancelotti that he's rejected a contract renewal. Come on, José! Let's use that Lukaku money!
-
So who are they going to sacrifice form their first XI to accommodate him? And what happens when Lallana returns? Seems like a pretty unneeded signing. Plus they have Origi coming next season.
-
How about Pjanic instead?
-
Destro any good?
-
Chicharito is the absolute epitome of a poacher. That's literally all he is.The tap-in king.
-
Seeing more and more people who have seen Rojo play saying he's average and not even an upgrade on what they have. This could end up being hilarious to watch, guys.
-
It would be Özil levels of stupid if they sold him. Which is why I think he'll indeed be sold.Like I said in another thread last night, I'd do anything to see Di Maria in our team. But I think United are going to get down to the wire, panic, and throw £50m at RM near the deadline and get him.
-
I'm going to dread it if United throw a mega offer at Di Maria and get him. He will destroy people in the PL with his pace and dribbling. I would do literally anything to have him in our team. I'd play him just where he played today for Madrid wide left. We'd have an unstoppable attack. ------------------Costa------------------- Di Maria-------Hazard-------Schürrle ------------Cesc---------Matic------------- Back 5

Don't know which side would be scarier with Falcao in it.Seriously hope that doesn't happen. They'd both still be pretty soft in the middle of the pitch but that may not matter if they could just blow teams away in attack.
-
Hopefully Wenger doesn't wise up and buy a top striker and persists with Giroud. He gives Torres a real run for his money. They won't get near the title with him as their first choice forward.
-
I remember him being linked strongly with United and their fans were wanking over him.
-
Just watching Ba here and thinking that he could still have done a decent job as a 2nd or 3rd option. Yet another situation that Torres ruins. Costa/Ba/Drogba is a nice enough strike force. Especially with Fabregas providing service.
-
Seems like a pretty average player reading around the net. Won't start worrying about them until they sign some real quality.
-
My only issue with him being in the role he played yesterday is that he wasn't a goal threat at all really. He was nearly invisible in the final third.
-
Is Rojo really that good? I personally had never even heard of him before the World Cup and he wasn't any better than "okay" from what I saw. Never thought to myself "yeah, he's destined for a top, top club."
-
Someone have the post match interviews from Mourinho and Cesc/Terry?
-
Only negative for me was how susceptible we look defensively. Matic also had a somewhat poor match so I look forward to how much better we can be when he's up to his usual standard.
-
Fabregas....speechless
-
Get ready for some atrocious Ivanovic crossing. Only damper on this lineup. Wanted to see Luis hit the ground running and be nailed on first choice. Seems Ivanovic will still be a huge part in the starting lineup.
-
Yeah, fair enough. Still wouldn't have him in here, though.
-
To me, Demichelis is either average and you don't really notice him or he's shit and sticks out like a sore thumb. Never a "damn, he's good" type of defender.
-
Nerves starting to set in. Have a feeling Burnley are going to be playing out of their minds and we're going to have a slow start.
-
He's got a couple of mates here in Ivanovic and Matic so I'm sure he'd want to come, but City would never sell to us. I'd have him in a heartbeat. Very young and very talented. City are indeed idiots. They're really going to sell a highly promising young CB and keep that old fossil Demecheiles who's a walking liability?
