  1. Fucking hell. It's well and truly like we've bought Arsenal's negotiators! If we're willing to spend 30m on him just go up a few million and seal it! We risk pissing Everton off EVEN MORE with bids that they won't accept.
  2. Infuriating isn't it?If we end this transfer window without a single player capable of being a starter it'll be a disaster of a summer.
  3. Still mind boggling that a team that already scored the most goals in the league last season will have spent well over £100m on attacking players this summer. And that's after being fined for breaching FFP. The same FFP that we're terrified of for some reason.
  4. Liverpool didn't win the league because they had an incompetent manager and an embarrassingly bad defense that crumbled when the pressure was on.
  5. As Liverpool proved just a couple of seasons ago, if you have a ridiculously good attack you can mask your defensive deficiencies. And there's no way City's defense will be as poor as Liverpool's was.
  6. Will be a brilliant signing for City. Aguero, Silva, Sterling, and De Bruyne in the front 4 with Yaya behind them. By far the best attack in England. They'd still be vulnerable in central midfield and defense but will it really matter with the state of defending in the PL? Don't think so. Can't see any defense being able to stop that attack. Hurts to say but I'd be pretty jealous if they line up with that array of talent.
  7. Hopefully he IS pissed off and tired of being dropped. Maybe José will even ridicule him in the media if he isn't playing well enough like he did with Hazard and it'll raise his level to where everyone expected it to be when we signed him. Him being the only #10 in the squad may make him feel comfortable. Needs to be pushed and given tough love.
  8. Indeed. Only reason he was yesterday is because Cesc and Oscar were taken off and we needed left footed delivery in that circumstance.
  9. That was pretty flukey. He's poor in the air is what I'm saying. He's missed several sitters for us.
  10. For some reason that's a weak point of his game. Despite his huge size he's pretty terrible at setpiece's.
  11. Isn't there an official "Moaning" thread? Some of you guys should go there and have a circle-moan. I can be pessimistic at times but some of you here take it way too far. Like MrBlueGuy. Christ, man.
  12. One thing I noticed immediately yesterday was that he's put on significant muscle. He's no longer as scrawny and wiry looking. Almost has the same body type as Cahill now. Will serve him well in the future. PLEASE let us once and for all sign him this week!
  13. And an unbelievably shit Liverpool steal the 3 points.
  14. Too good to be on our bench and probably way too expensive anyways.
  15. Payet is a very nice little player.
  16. 10 minutes of stoppage time incoming...
  17. Watch Sanchez come on and score a hat trick...
  18. OH MY WORD, WEST HAM! LOL Please don't lose 3-2 now!
  19. Get ready for the massive overreaction in the media when Arsenal slaughter West Ham here. "Arsenal will walk the league!"
  20. There were a couple of times where a ball was played through our CB's if I remember correctly but Gomis was just offside. If there was a better striker (like Agüero next week for example) it could've been ugly.In terms of 1v1's I don't think he had any issue yesterday.
  21. Good point and I agree. If it's Arsenal for example they'll start to struggle when the other competitions start and they have to juggle the CL and PL at the same time. Hope so anyways. I'm more concerned about us having enough firepower to claw back the others if we fall too far behind.
  22. I'm just glad we have this fixture out of the way so early. I'm predicting a boring draw. If we lose this, however, I think we're in for a long and nervy season without some quality additions. Can't afford to start like Arsenal did last season by spotting our rivals an early gap.
  23. His performance was great. Just the one mistake combined with some brilliant attacking play that led to the goal.
  24. This thread makes for some depressing reading over this last page or two. What's worse is that I kind of agree with a lot of what's being said. Many of us called it ages ago that we aren't strong enough to repeat what we did last season. I struggle to blame José here, though. At a time when we should have more money to bolster the squad than ever the purse strings are tightening. Also coincides with a period where our rivals are going crazy in the market. If he was told he could spend a bunch I'm sure he would. I can't believe he's sticking with the exact same team as last season out of his own arrogance and stubbornness. He wouldn't harm his own chances by trying to prove a point, surely?
