You couldn't make it up!

At least they're panic buying a quality player! By all accounts this dude is Championship standard. Fuck sake.
-
Wow. Everyone will be laughing at this signing won't they?
-
Yet to see one positive tweet or article about this signing. Possibly the most underwhelming signing we've made in as long as I can remember. Again, I'd rather just not sign anyone.
-
This snippet from someone at the Daily Mail who knows him isn't exactly comforting: "Is he what Chelsea are looking for? Doubtful. Based on how high they set the bar with John Stones, definitely not. Considering how late it is in the transfer window, this is being labelled a last-minute bargain, and even a panic-buy. Many in France, however, have struggled to understand the rush of interest in Djilobodji from elsewhere in Europe. Chelsea also made noises over Ezequiel Garay from Zenit St Petersburg and Athletic Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte, preferred options but complicated to complete on time. In an ideal world, they want a long-term replacement for John Terry, but they'll get little more than a moderately creative centre half with reasonable physical ability in Djilobodji."

Trying hard and being motivated is well and good, but will he ever even play if all of our CB's are fit? Can't see a Β£2.7m player from a small, shit club just coming in and taking Cahill, JT, or Zouma's spots.
-
More like Arsenal. Linked with superstars all summer and sign a no-name or cheap option on deadline day.
-
Like I said, if JosΓ© was in charge there rather than LvG who is so married to his stupid "philosophy" he'd have them competing for everything. You're right, they haven't signed any superstars or anything.
-
Being a pure #9 doesn't mean that they're a giant lamp post that you just boot it up to like Andy Carroll or Crouch. I consider Ibra, Costa, and Benzema pure #9's. They're very mobile, yes, but their primary position is the point of the sword. This Martial kid seems more like Remy who can play out wide or behind another striker.
-
Think United have significantly improved. They were just starting from a much lower position than City. Schneiderlin, Schweini, Darmian, and Memphis are all very good signings. Shaw is basically a new signing too.JosΓ© would make that squad the title favorite if he were in charge with the addition of another striker.
-
Β£30-35m for Stones is one thing. The reported β¬80m (nearly Β£60m) for this kid is another. Nearly Β£60m for a 19 year old from the French league who had just a decent season last year. That's utter madness! For that price you'd expect a striker on AgΓΌero's level or someone who is 100% certain to become world class.
-
Trying to think where he'd even play in United's first XI. Apparently he's not really a pure #9? Paying a load of money for potential is one thing. Paying a load of money for potential and a player without a set position is dangerous. Hope he busts and busts hard.
-
I'm seeing people on Twitter claiming that this is clearly a cheap stop gap and that does make perfect sense. Buy a cheap fill-in for this season and then someone stellar like Stones or Laporte next year. Still, what a terribly underwhelming window. Pedro the only nailed on starter. City have signed 3 first XI players that are all top class and improve them as well as a quality depth signing in Delph. United, once they sign Martial, will have signed 4-5 first XI players as well that'll improve them. We've signed a bunch of backups that will rarely feature for the most part.
-
Hard to get excited for a player no one's ever heard of. On top of that, we'll probably barely ever see him play since he'll be 4th choice. At his age he's unlikely to improve dramatically like the other CB's we were linked with.
-
Your username is a bit creepy, man. Looks like a screen name you see underneath a porn video.
-
Seems like a total barrel scrape. If we're going to panic buy, do so on top players. Players that can slot straight in.
-
If he isn't even good enough for one of the bigger French clubs to buy, why is he good enough for us? Just weird.
-
It's just so out of the blue that I'm having a hard time believing it. All of the other CB targets we've been linked with are clear improvements on what we have. Stones, Garay, Laporte, Marquinos. Can't belive we'd go after someone like this. Smells like BS.
-
I'd rather just go with what we've got than spend money on what's probably our 6th choice CB target who's not better than any of our 3 current CB's.
-
If true, what are we doing?
-
Never heard of it.Disney channel was for the noobs back in the day. It was all about Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Pogba would've loved these shows.
-
I've literally never heard of any of these shows you guys are naming. Ha!I grew up on Rugrats, SpongeBob, Hey Arnold!, etc...
-
Did you guys not have the popular American shows growing up?
