Think it's 100% nailed on that he starts at Everton. José will say something like "he's had a couple of weeks to clear his head and focus," and he'll be straight back in the team as if the first 4 matches never happened.
-
If we don't buy another game changing player we won't get near the title. It'll be a fight with Arsenal, United, and even Liverpool for a CL place.
-
Only player at this point I'd give them is Ramires. Ramires + cash or just a boat load of cash by itself. Oscar could still be a valuable player even with Pogba. Matic, Pogba, and Oscar in a midfield 3 may actually be even better than it would be with Cesc with the way he's playing. Wouldn't care if we annihilated the world transfer record now. We need a serious injection of top, top quality.
-
No matter what happens he must not be sacked during the season. Consider options maybe once the season is over if need be, but sacking him midsession like some are suggesting would be lunacy.
-
Honestly, I'm worried for us looking at our next three fixtures. Everton and Newcastle are two of our bogey side and Arsenal's pace and attacking play may rip our shit defense apart. This has the look of a disastrous season so far. City and their fans will be laughing their heads off. They probably thought they were gearing up for a tough battle for the title with all this investment. Little did they expect that they may have ran away with it within the first month of the season.
-
Already 8 behind City who haven't even conceded a single goal yet. We've conceded 9. NINE! And they've gone and signed another top class attacking player.
-
I honestly want to know what the fuck has happened to Fabregas. He looks totally lost. He seriously looks like a player on a newly promoted side. Like he's forgotten how to pass and his awareness is comical. Fabregas, Matic, Ivanovic, Hazard, Costa were all TERRIBLE. We have these world class players and they look like they just came together and met yesterday. No rhythm or structure at all. Just slow, shit on a stick football. Only players who come out of that with a thumbs up from me are Pedro, Kenedy, and our one great performer Zouma.
-
One of the most embarrassing performances I've ever witnessed. We look absolutely shocking. Like a side that will struggle this season to make the top 4. That's now 4 points from 4 matches! Our club should be ashamed with the talent we put out there. Man City will absolutely walk the league by AT LEAST what we won it by last season. Sickening, atrocious start to the season.
-
Infuriating how poor we look still. Sloppy passing, slow and ponderous around their box, and no one who can accurately shoot from distance. We look like we're still MILES off of what we should look like. With the players we have out there we should be well on top of teams like Palace.
-
Won't even say anything about you know who. Just hope he has a good game. That Palace team kind of scares me against our defense. Wickham can bully Cahill and the pace of Zaha and Puncheon on the counter can slay our slow defense and midfield. This should be a very difficult match.
-
Didn't he pick up a serious injury a month or two ago? Think he's out for months if I remember correctly.
-
Game over already. The 3 points now gifted to Arsenal. Fuck off.
-
Yeah, but they can pay players obscene wages to compensate for the shit league. And you get to live in fucking Paris.
-
Juve know that at some point they must lose Pogba. PSG are a bit like ourselves where they only lose their best players when they choose to. You can't really poach the players from an ultra rich club like that. Unless it's Real Madrid or Barca that come asking.
-
Because he's at a club even richer than ourselves and would probably cost £100m.
-
Don't care what we pay at this point. Fuck it. Give him what he asks for. Potentially the next Yaya Toure and only 22. Hell, even if he improves only slightly during the time we have him he's a damn good player who improves us. It also reinforces the message to the rest of Europe that Chelsea can attract the best players and pay whatever it takes to get a player they really want. Pogba is one of those players like Hazard that star players in the future will look at and want to come play with.
-
Literally every time some paper says we're going to bid for someone it's "within 48 hours." Are they hoping that people will forget by the second day so they won't be called on their bullshit?
-
Martinez- "The transfer window should be closed when the season starts!"Journalist- "So, Roberto, how many players do you hope to bring in before the deadline?" Martinez- "We're expecting to bring in 3 more players." Fucking hypocrite.
-
We wouldn't do the same. If we had a player hand in a transfer request we'd negotiate for a high fee and sell him.
-
Arsenal fans would end up booing him within a month because he'd kill so many of their slick passing moves. Even a few times this season you hear the Everton fans getting audibly frustrated with him because the ball bounces off of his foot like a brick wall. His touch is still shocking. He has games where he's unstoppable and others where he looks as if he doesn't belong on the pitch. Of the top 4-6 teams in the PL I'd say he'd be most suited to United. That's if they dropped Rooney (which ain't happening) and played Mata in his natural position. They have great width from their fullbacks and with Mata feeding through balls that Lukaku thrives on that would be a pretty nice team. Sides that set up to dominate possession and play intricately (Arsenal, City) or sides like us who need a striker that can hold up play excellently and link with the midfield are bad fits for Lukaku at this time in his evolution. He is at his best in open space and running on to a pass out in front of him. Basically being a train at full flow. His touch is too poor and he's pretty poor with his head for someone his size. Think it's still a bit too early for him to be the #1 guy at a massive league or CL challenging side. Do think he'll get their soon, though.
-
How do we STILL not know what's wrong with Oscar? This would've been the perfect match for him to start in. Just picks up a mysterious injury and misses 3 weeks? Come on! Just like Remy's mysterious injury last season that was supposed to be a slight knock and he was out for a month. So frustrating.
-
Only way I could've still seen it happening at this point would've been him refusing to play against Spuds tomorrow but Martinez has already said he will. He had to kick up a fuss and turn the fans completely against him. Then the board and manager wouldn't get slaughtered if they sold him in the end because. He left it too late and was too nice.
-
Imagine how big of an anticlimax it'll be if after being linked with some of these ultra expensive players (SO WE KNOW THE MONEY IS THERE) we end up not signing anyone else.I think there will 100% be one more in.
-
Still hasn't outright said "he isn't a player we're interested in and considering."
-
Still think we'll put in one last bid on Monday. Even if we know they won't sell we can troll them a bit and try to unsettle him more.
