  1. What if Guus thinks it over and decides not to take the interim role?
  2. *sigh*Would completely kill me.
  3. Please just go to Real Madrid so I can still root for and love him.
  4. Sad, sad day. It's gonna be terrible seeing him on the touchline of another PL club. The blow could be softened by knowing who our permanent manager is going to be going forward.
  5. Whatever ££££ we can offer City and United can match and exceed. With Pep specifically I doubt money is the key factor in where he goes next. We could offer double what the others do and I doubt he'd come here.
  6. Who will be available in the summer? Brenden Rodgers is the only one I can think of that won't have a better opportunity. Chelsea would be by far and away the biggest club he can manage. Every other worthy manager will have options like Bayern/City/United to choose from and other managers that we are reportedly after like Simeone are already at top clubs and have no reason to leave.
  7. Same. Of course José isn't bigger than the club, but this would be a travesty. Unless the board straight up say that Pep will take over in the summer when Ramos is appointed then I couldn't stomach it.
  8. Imagine sacking José Mourinho for Juande Ramos...
  9. Again, just hope he goes back to Real Madrid. Seeing him at another PL club would be terrible. Even if "it's only for a few seasons" that's a few seasons where we probably won't be winning anything.
  10. Those same people bitching about not wanting him will be the same ones swooning and creaming themselves when he does his unveiling press conference and puts on the charm offensive. He'll say all the right things in an arrogant and confident way that he always does and they'll all melt. "This is a massive, massive club. The biggest and most famous club in the world. This is the club I've always wanted to manage and I want to be here for the rest of my career." All of the United ball suckers in the media who dislike him will suddenly bend their knees and slurp him uncontrollably. My personal football nightmare is to see Mourinho at the helm of that club. The INSANE media coverage alone would be unbearable.
  11. Like everyone else, he probably thought it was impossible that we could be in this situation. The thought of sacking José less than a year after winning the title was inconceivable. Wouldn't be totally shocked if there was no clause because he never could've imagined this happening.
  12. Conversely, what happens if we appoint the next AVB and he fails to improve us at all? What if Mourinho goes to United (people keep deluding themselves into thinking he wouldn't go there) and makes them an unstoppable force again whilst City get Guardiola?I'd reluctantly sack him if I was sure the future would be bright, but that would require us hiring Ancelotti/Pep/Klopp. Two of those are impossible and as of today the third looks impossible too. Every other candidate either has question marks (Hiddink, Emery, Conte etc) or are complete jokes like Juande Ramos. I get that people want us to improve but we can't think just about the short term. What happens if next season and beyond we have to be going against a Pep led City, Mourinho led United, Wenger's Arsenal who finally look like legit contenders, a Klopp led Liverpool who will grow leaps and bounds, and now even Spuds are getting it together under Poch? We could be completely left behind and set back for years. I myself was one of the "José out" guys after this latest result but if we're thinking about appointing one of these clown candidates then I'd rather just stick with him and give him total authority to change the squad over the next two windows.
  13. He has the personality of a corpse. And he looks about 90.
  14. I want a threesome with Jennifer Lawrence and Alison Brie.Neither are happening, unfortunately.
  15. Surely it would've happened by now if the Leicester result was the final straw? Doesn't look like it's happening yet. Lose to Sunderland and I think it's impossible for him to stay.
  16. Meh. I'd say it was pretty toxic. We were all together in our toxicity is all.The "Rafa Out!" and "The Interim One" stuff. The singing of Robbie's name every match. I think if we fire our greatest manager of all time and one who still has the unwavering support of the match going fans there would be HUGE outrage. Replacing him with someone who's not even in the same universe as him in terms of managerial quality would make it worse.
  17. If every top option is off the table (Pep, Ancelotti, and Klopp as of a few weeks ago) and we're scraping the barrel with nobodies as is being rumored, I'd rather just stick with Mourinho. There's no way he'd get us relegated. People are insane for believing it's a possibility. Sacking him for the wrong replacement could (and I think WILL) set us back for years while all our rivals leave us in the dust.
  18. Atmosphere will surely be even more toxic if we sack Mourinho for Juande Ramos than it was when we appointed Rafa?
  19. United would have the benefit of having limitless funds and have no care in the world when it comes to FFP. They'd be able to sign any players Mourinho could want at any time. He'd also actually be able to get any targets he wasn't able to here. John Stones, for example? José would get him there. Him ending up there is the worst possible outcome for Chelsea FC. If we let him go I hope he ends up back at Madrid. Him saying he wants to stay in England worries me.
  20. Imagine a nightmare world where Pep goes to City and Mourinho takes over at United. That nightmare may indeed become reality. How terrible would the club look then? Those two would completely dominate European football in my opinion.
  21. No bullshit, I'd have Brendan Rodgers on a 6 month caretaker contract. It'd be highly beneficial to him in the same way it was for Benitez. It's like an audition for another job.
  22. Top 4 is out of the question. Regardless of manager.
  23. Juande Ramos... Deary, deary me. I'm preparing the noose.
  24. Impossible unfortunately. He'll never choose the difficult job. Especially without CL football next season. He'll once again take over a ready made squad at City and finally turn them into the mega club they've been desperate to be for years.
  25. Right, and if a new manager pulls an AVB and drops 3-4 players from the XI, pisses them off, and tries formations they don't like we'll be near the relegation zone AND have a squad of players in revolt. It can certainly get worse then it is now. Don't think we're at rock bottom yet.
