  1. We get it in the final third and have no ideas. They get it in the final third and look highly dangerous every attack.
  2. Referee being shit means that goal shouldn’t have happened. But still. Awful from Gusto.
  3. That’s two HUGE mistakes by Gusto already. Terrible error from Amare’s a starting him ffs.
  4. Just thinking about rocking up away at Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern etc with Liam Delap as our starting #9. Does he scare any teams like that? Idk, man…
  5. Feels like everyone and their mother wants them to win. Combo of Chelsea hatred and everyone loving the underdog who have never won anything before.
  6. Maresca will definitely have some questions to answer if we lose this with our best defenders sat on the bench.
  7. Well, that’s certainly a surprising team selection at the back. Especially surprised not to see Reece starting. Dropping your captain for a final is weird. Especially when he’s been playing well lately.
  8. I have a sneaking suspicion that Sancho will be staying for good.
  9. On the other hand, they then decided to let us go into the season with Jackson as our only senior striker when we all knew he wasn’t good enough. There’s definitely someone at the club who is good at identifying top talent but there are also some idiots that gamble and get thing wrong.
  10. If Ekitike is the guy then Maresca really was foreshadowing when he said he wanted 2 Nico Jackson’s in terms of style. Someone who is a link up striker and not just a poacher or target man. I just don’t think he’s the right guy personally. 🤷‍♂️
  11. Reason I suggested him is because he perfectly aligns with what our decision makers and talent identifiers love these days. Really young, on low wages so he can be handed a 9 year contract on reasonable wages, lots of potential resale value. I think he can go on to become a top CB and there’s a reason top clubs are interested. I’d have him before bringing in Guehi.
  12. Yep, sell Badiashile & Disasi. Keep Trev. Fofana I’m extremely skeptical can be sold because who knows what his health status is. Then I’d buy Branthwaite to be Colwill’s long term CB partner. Levi + Branthwaite as the primary PL starters, Trev and Tosin as rotation and starters in smaller comps, and then Fofana as depth on the rare occasions he’s fit. Btw, what the hell happened to Anselmino? There was a bunch of hype about him when we bought him and he indeed does look super talented. He arrived here in January to acclimate to the country and train with the first team and I haven’t seen or heard about him since. Nobody has even mentioned the idea of him playing for us next season.
  13. Our name is just being thrown out there for every random dude now.
  14. They definitely have a few nice players who can hurt us if we aren’t on it but I think our boys will be well up for this after last weekend. Just don’t allow Antony to cut in on that left foot of his near the edge of our box.
  15. From what I’ve read on Bluemoon, KDB was a shadow of himself this season. Had his moments here and there but apparently they’re fine with him leaving.
  16. City are going to be back to being a serious threat for everything next season. Like Liverpool, it appears they’re going to continue being surgical in identifying and going to get their targets just like they were in January. All the more reason to hope we get our recruitment spot on. City won’t have a season as calamitous by their standards again. Getting anywhere near them and Liverpool is going to require a perfect window from us.
  17. The numbers he’s putting up and the actual tape when watching him convinced me personally that he’s not simply a big fish in a small pond type who’s dominating a weak league. It’s true that there’s definitely a risk stepping up to the PL but I don’t see anything about him that doesn’t look like it won’t translate well here.
  18. Sounds like a player more suited to going to a club a step down in profile and expectation wise than Chelsea and then moving to a big club in a few years. Not someone who comes in as the final piece of the puzzle to make us a title challenger.
  19. Yep. We go out and buy Gyokeres or Osimhen and it’ll tell us that these owners want a title challenge next season. Go out and buy Delap or Ekitike and they’re sticking to the “Chelsea will be the best team in a few years” crap we’ve been fed. Going into yet another season where Chelsea Football Club doesn’t even have one of the 5 best strikers in the league would be insanity.
  20. If his wage demands are that high then I can’t blame the club for being weary but this is what you have to do if you want top players. They have to decide this summer whether they want to battle for 4th again or they actually want to achieve things. It’ll make these guys look like absolute fools if Gyokeres joins our hated London rival who also desperately need a striker and he is Haaland 2.0 whilst we just sat back and watched him go there.
  21. We saw this coming when our name was linked with him a week or two ago. May as well lock him up now and see how he does with another season of development at Strasbourg.
  22. I feel like for £60m even if Gyokeres doesn’t live up to the insane numbers he’s putting up now and “only” scored 20 in the PL that’s a great deal. That’s the kind of price that doesn’t hurt you at all long term like someone £85-100m flopping might. And at 25 he’d still have tons of resale value if he ever needed to be moved on which I know our board cares about. This is a player we should be moving for with the speed that Liverpool have moved with their targets thus far. The fact that we aren’t really seeing our name linked by anyone worth a damn tells me that he has probably already been convinced by another club. Annoyingly, that’s probably Arse. 🤦‍♂️
  23. Saw some comparisons of Ekitike to Havertz and I do actually see it. He looks more polished from a technical POV though and actually has some power in his shooting unlike Kai. I’m just trying to imagine Ekitike in a Chelsea shirt and wondering how big, physical CB’s across the PL would feel about playing against him. Can’t help but feel they’d fancy seeing a stick skinny kid up front for us. For example, going up against teams like Everton or Brentford who have CB’s who just want to bully you and beat the hell out of you for 90 minutes. Is he up for that? Whereas with Osimhen and Gyokeres, they’re the ones who do the bullying.
