Since Arse are annoyingly good now I haven’t been able to watch and enjoy my weekly AFTV binge where they rage and cry every week. But thankfully, Man United are utterly shit most weeks these days so I can fill that void by watching Mark Goldbridge rage about them instead. 😆

It is indeed impressive from Arse to be this solid with 10 but for me it’s equally as pathetic from City. They’re probably the most intelligent attacking team since the prime Messi/Iniesta/Xavi Barca team but somehow look completely clueless here. Arse literally couldn’t have asked for a better game plan from City coming out of half time. They can just camp in their box moving side to side over and over again. This sort of situation has rendered Haaland useless, too.

City don’t really have any attacker on the pitch that’s going to be super dangerous shooting from outside the box. Just Kyle Walker trying to pile drive it. All their attackers are the sort that like arriving late for tap ins or cutbacks. Plays right into Arse’s hands. Again, City desperately miss KDB. Or Mahrez in previous seasons.

This is almost one of those situations where City’s walking pace, “we want to score the perfect goal” style of football kind of works against them. Arse will be mostly fine keeping everything in front of them and moving so slowly. This is where De Bruyne is badly missed.

Would be a legendary victory for Arse fans if they win from here.

City have been dead since the equalizer. Zero energy and stopped using their wide attackers completely. And Kyle Walker continues to be a clown when he’s actually got to defend without using his pace. When he’s not in open space where he can use that supreme pace and athleticism he has always been shit.

From complete dominance to now down their 2 best midfielders suddenly makes this a tough task for City.

Savinho looks incredible in this City setup already. Pep just time and time again picks the perfect wide players for his system. Feels like Grealish is the only big one that has been a miss in recent times. City are toying with Arse and imposing themselves physically. Barring an extended injury to Haaland they aren’t losing the league to Arse. I think don’t think Arse will make it as close as last season.

Mitoma looks back to his pre-injury form from what I’m seeing. So we need to pray that Gusto is back fit for next weekend. Fofana trying to mark him is suicide.

Great second half performance after letting our levels drop for the final 20 or so minutes of the first half. Tosin + Colwill as a pairing is SO much less nervy. Gotta give credit to the only WH player who looked quality today and that’s Kudus. What a player he is. Won’t be at WH for long and will sadly Rick up at perhaps City or Liverpool I think.

He’s been a beast both on and off the ball. Imagine if we could play 3 in midfield with Lavia how much better Caicedo could be when he doesn’t have to do everything.

Really don’t know how Fofana is going to cope with Summerville sprinting at him over and over again second half when he’s on a yellow. The Malo Gusto injury has really fucked us with James already out too.

A fully fit, top form Reece James + Lavia would make us a top, top team. Of course they are our two most injury prone players, ffs…🤦‍♂️

We more or less surrendered the ball and stopped playing after the second goal. Walking football whilst allowing WH to repeatedly attack us on our weak flanks. We’re getting skinned over and over by both Kudus & Summerville. We’re literally rolling out the red carpet for them to score and take control of the game.

With the ball our CB’s are solid and comfortable. Without the ball and forced to defend and this is poor. And going forward our 3 AM’s have barely had a kick.

We’ve been so fucking sloppy at times and they fully deserve to be back in this. It’s almost panic every time the ball goes down our right side.
