  1. Think the only thing he really struggles with is playing the quick pass while he's being closely marked. He can make the simple passes just fine but has to continue to work on the trickier passes. He was great today.
  2. Huge issue we had last season as well. We make it so easy for the crosser to pick his target out. Must work on closing that player down.
  3. Think we'll be forced to play Luiz in midfield next week. You know he'll be hyped up due to the opponent and because he'll know he's got huge responsibility in that position. If that happens, it'll be a mega test for Rüdiger and Cristensen.
  4. Even in those limited minutes Andreas and Rüdiger looked so much better than Cahill. Rudiger with his passing and athleticism and Cristensen with his class and composure.
  5. Positives galore despite the result and red cards. Cristensen 👍🏼 Rüdiger 👍🏼 Kante 👍🏼 Morata 👍🏼 Luiz 👍🏼 Not a clue how we compete with Spuds next week.
  6. We'll now have 1 fit midfielder away to Spurs now. Automatic loss. I could not have imagined a worse start to this season.
  7. Not even trying now. Just letting them have crossing practice. Free to pick out anyone they want whenever they want. Embarrassing.
  8. Bats can't hold the ball up to save his life when there's someone marking him.
  9. How did Tibo not get a hand to that slow ass ball?
  10. Just typical with the way things have been going for us...
  11. Giving them a chance from a position of strength is great. Giving them a chance out of desperation like this is worrying.
  12. Christ, that bench is shocking! Our starting XI doesn't look very good either with so many missing.
  13. Rumblings on Twitter that Morata won't start this...
  14. Already dreading it. The pressure will quickly build on him if he puts in poor performances while out of position and his confidence will be shot.
  15. I agree. They have an excellent squad and today were missing 4 CB's and their 2 best players in Sanchez and Cazrola. I think any of the managers in the top 5-6 would win the league with this Arsenal squad. Actually really annoying that Arsenal have a deeper and more quality packed side than we do.
  16. Arsenal look like clowns in defense but can take some solace in the fact that their 2 best CB's are out injured and will return soon. Think they'll be a serious title contender once Alexis is back and builds a report with Lacazette.
  17. I wouldn't play him there in his very first start for us. He can fill in there in an emergency.
  18. Surely Azpi will play in Moses's place with Rüdiger at CB?
  19. Bad news continues to pile up. Guess we'll see Bats and Morata up top again together.
  20. Probably realized that no one will come in for him with a mega bid while he's injured.
  21. While I think he's full of shit about there being discontent and having a "mole" in our club, I think there could be big trouble if we have a poor start like we did a couple of years ago.
  22. Yes, I can 100% believe our board thought £15m was fair. They're operating as though this is 2011 or something before the transfer market went insane. We go in and lowball other clubs. Did it with Stones and did it with Lukaku. While I don't think Drinkwater is worth the rumored £30m, this supposed £15m is derisory and insulting. Amateur hour from our board.
  23. This is what I was wondering. The club may feel it's too big of a risk to spend £50m or more on a player who won't be fit any time soon and may not be the same when he is.
  24. It sounds all well and noble but at the rate the market is moving we risk becoming what Arsenal have been over the last decade or so. We risk getting left behind by PSG/City/United/Barca/RM etc. These clubs all go out and throw around £50m, £100m, or even £200m now on single players like its nothing but a drop in the bucket whilst us spending £58m on Morata is a colossal struggle. Im not saying we need to go out and spend like that every window, but when we're coming off such a great season with a manager that finally looks like he could build something special you'd think we can splash out and back him. So far, this is looking like a summer where Mourinho and Pep get nearly every target they want for nearly any price necessary while Conte has to basically beg through the media every other day. Why is that? We're one of the richest clubs in the world and are acting like Arsenal or Tottenham lately.
  25. Do the rules just not apply to PSG? How can they legally spend 400m on just 2 players? Why doesn't Roman just go apeshit and spend for fun if FFP is not going to be enforced? Why are we adhering to this frugal "one in one out" policy when the authorities will do jack shit but maybe a slap on the wrist? What a joke.
