  1. Mahrez is such a Barca player but I'm still shocked that they've gone for him. Didn't think he was a big enough name.
  2. IMAGINE! Just imagine we get hijacked for our backup striker that's seemingly the easiest deal we would make. 😂😂😂
  3. Llorente will be our final signing this window, watch.
  4. I wonder what would happen if no deal is struck? Surely he can't just sit on his ass in Brazil for 4 months while he's under contract here. Would that not be a breach of contract or something?
  5. Just saying! 😆 Every top side has those sorts of games where a shite opponent happens to have a good day. Couple of the big sides already have.
  6. There will be days against the parked buses of the West Brom's/Stoke's/West Ham's of the world where we'll have chance after chance and not be able to score. Being able to bring Llorente on in those circumstances will be nice. I'm sure he'll also get plenty of starts in the League Cup and early rounds of the FA Cup. No downsides at all for such a low price. Unless your name is Michy Batshauyi.
  7. Having him in addition to either Willian or Pedro rampaging down our right flank could've been something special. Instead he'll go to Liverpool and be a rotational midfield player and have his best attributes wasted. Shame. I wouldn't be nearly as angry as I am right now if this had happened weeks ago. Now, unless we panic buy someone who's only decent and nothing more, we're shit out of luck as far as wing backs go. Only thing that really gives me hope is that we "panic bought" Marcos Alonso last deadline day, everyone thought he was average and laughed that he was ex-Sunderland, and he turned out to be a fantastic buy. Let's pray that we strike gold again.
  8. They're apparently still after Lemar, too. Surely that means Coutinho is off? Otherwise Liverpool may end up having their best ever transfer window.
  9. Think we'd have been interested if he was for sale but I doubt we would ever consider a loan.
  10. Good. This'll get done at least. Sadly for Batshuayi, I can't see him getting any significant minutes at all assuming Morata and Llorente are fit throughout the season. May be best if he went on loan to a good side.
  11. Yeah, sure. Maybe the board will throw another bid in for Fabinho as well... 🙄
  12. Don't believe we're after any attcking players other than Llorente.
  13. Looking more and more likely that Coutinho is staying as well. Meaning there's even less chance of a Ox ever playing in midfield.
  14. I think the fact that we're a much bigger club than they are, have many French speaking players, and are the fucking champions would make him more likely to want to join us if we made a big push. Can't imagine why any player would choose Tottenham over Chelsea if both are after them.
  15. A competent and intelligent club would ask to be kept informed about his situation in case it's possible he can indeed move to the UK. Unfortunately, I have zero faith we have and he's probably already a done deal to Spuds for a steal of a price.
  16. Watch him become a RWB for Liverpool. I'd put money on it.
  17. He's 31 and plays in arguably the most demanding position on the pitch. Doesn't make sense.
  18. Seems like the only way it's possible now is if Liverpool refuse to pay the £££ necessary AND his position at Arsenal is untenable and he can't stay there.
  19. Whichever midfielder we buy will be 4th choice anyways. Will we really pay as much for Drinkwater as we did for Bakayoko?
  20. If his asking price is that high I think we'll just settle for Barkley only.
  21. The price they're demanding looks to be £40m. I cannot imagine we'll go close to that. Rightfully so.
  22. Just bracing myself now for whichever completely mediocre player we panic buy tomorrow instead. 😔
  23. Which world class players have we been after that have rejected us?
  24. Seeing a lot of this, a lot of "THANK GOD, HES SHIT ANYWAYS!" and a lot of Liverpool fans laughing at us and calling us a small club because Ox chose them over us.
  25. That's what makes this more gutting. Usually agreeing terms with a player is a formality and the easiest part of a deal while dealing with the selling club is the hard part. We agreed terms with a hated London rival for one of their better players and he then rejects us. Sickening.
