  1. So we know before making our move that he doesn't want to play RWB and then bid anyways? That's even worse!
  2. Meh. A buying club has to communicate with a player in some capacity. Even speaking with his agent or an intermediary to find out if he'd be willing to move.
  3. Would be such a let down to go from Ox who probably could've blossomed into a top player and an upgrade on Moses to Cedric who I don't even think would displace Moses. But that seems the likeliest outcome now. The club will also look like mugs now for bidding for Ox and agreeing terms with Arsenal without even getting the OK from the player himself. Almost amateur stuff there. Why wouldn't we find out before bidding?
  4. He must be thick as all hell. Finally finds a position where he can become a top player and rejects the chance to lock down that position for the champions. The club he apparently grew up supporting. Just fuck off. Let's hijack Spuds Aurier deal.
  5. I don't think he is. Not for a club that wants to challenge for the title. Ths pretty much fucks us royally. We may now have to go a whole season with zero depth at either wing back position. Ox was probably a huge signing that Conte was really counting on.
  6. Good luck getting into their midfield, Ox. Especially when Keita gets there next summer.
  7. David Ornstein just tweeted and deleted a tweet saying he rejected us and wants Liverpool. FFS. edit:
  8. His skill set is best applied in wide areas where he can actually use his strongest attributes. He can play in midfield but it's a waste of his pace and dribbling ability.
  9. Wonder what we'd even do if he chooses to go there. We aren't linked with any other wing back targets and at this point it's probably far too late even if we were because any club selling wouldn't be able to replace their player.
  10. Them selling to City is sort of an "out of sight, out of mind" sort of scenario. Don't think they'd have much of a problem shipping him there. Their fans would revolt and boycott games if they sold him here on the other hand. Simply too much hatred and animosity between Arsenal and Chelsea.
  11. Yep. Ox has the ability to simply explode past a defender from wide areas. Can see him wreaking absolute havoc down the right along with Willian or Pedro.
  12. True. I'd say Barkley would be competing with Cesc as the more creative spark. Drinkwater is sort of an all-arounder who can play anywhere in CM. Normally I'd agree, but I think Ox really does have insane potential unlike many of the hugely overrated English players like Wilshere, Walcott, Welbeck etc. Barkley not too long ago was touted as a £50-60m player if he moved. Obviously the talent is there to warrant that sort of talk and under the right circumstances (elite coaching, playing with elite players, playing in the CL for the first time) we can see that talent blossom. Fortunately for us we wouldn't be paying idiotic fees for them like City have with Sterling, Stones, and Walker. We'd be getting both for essentially half the price that those went for and they're just as talented.
  13. Puzzled as to why we'd want both Drinkwater and Barkley. Even if just one of them came in they'd struggle for minutes. Won't complain if we get both, though, since our squad would go from paper thin to excellent if all these deals go through. Would also be kind of awesome to have two of the most talented, relatively young English players at Chelsea in Barkley and Ox. With great coaching their potential is massive.
  14. Can't help it, mate. The thought of losing a player Conte really wants to fucking Liverpool of all places would piss me off.
  15. Don't the club usually announce that an agreement has been reached and that personal terms and medical will happen afterwards? I seem to recall we did so with our summer signings so far, right? In that case it's a bit strange that all of those journalists tweeted that an agreement between the clubs was reached but we've seen nothing since. Makes me feel like we haven't fully convinced Ox himself yet.
  16. I'm shocked that Real Madrid didn't try everything to move Bale to United who would've 100% paid a silly fee for him and immedietly pay the money for Mbappe. Would ease the pain of losing Ronaldo soon if they had two super young future superstars in Asensio and Mbappe.
  17. One minute it's a done deal, the next we're yet to convince him.
  18. Both Pep and Klopp are going to try to win every game 5-3.
  19. You know there's only one place he's going when he leaves RM. So hopefully he stays.
  20. True. Just hope everything's already sorted and we're just waiting for the hype of deadline day to announce.
  21. Expected to wake up, check Twitter, and see a pic of him holding our shirt.
  22. Never did I think we'd actually have to worry about competing with fucking Liverpool for a player any time soon. A club that's been a laughing stock for over a decade now.
  23. I agree about Liverpool looking better and better now. Don't think it's a stretch to suggest that they may replace Arsenal as that 5th title challenger. Arsenal going backwards as a club, Liverpool building something impressive.
  24. Henderson, Can, Wjinaldum, and just bought Keita today. Lallana can also playe there. He doesn't exactly walk into their midfield any more than he would here.
