Already written in the stars that we'll draw the toughest opponent next round whilst United and City get the easiest of the remaining opponents. Would be super annoying to see another English team won the CL that's not Chelsea so I hope City get knocked out ASAP.
-
Watching Lukaku once again today and the difference is so evident. Lukaku doesn't offer nearly as much as Alvaro does. Doesn't really contribute at all in general play.
-
Rolls Royce of a defender. Has the mind of a player in their mid 30's. The perfect modern CB. Would cost a big club £60m or something on the open market. We've now got every type of CB you can have on our books. Ball players in Andreas and Luiz. Pure physical freak in Zouma. Mixture of both of those in Rüdiger. Swiss Army knife in Azpi. And........Cahill.
-
Tibo is physically incapable of doing some of the things DDG does because of his massive size. Not much between them from a pure shot stopping point of view. DDG is just far more agile and can make better twitchy reactions.
-
Same here. City are already out of sight so another win means nothing. Going above United is my preference.
-
What's that, 3 scrambles right in the United box? How the hell did Arse not score?
-
True. Nice little gap ahead of Arse and Spuds would be nice.
-
Arsenal absolutely shitting themselves in yet another big game. How do you come out and look this terrible against a hated rival at home?
-
Alonso is just too slow to dribble or sprint past anyone. When he's already in an advanced position he's dangerous but when he's forced to run with the ball he struggles.
-
Needs to be locked down with a crazy contract ASAP. Highest paid player in the league, 300k a week. He seems happy here, he's totally settled with his young family in London, and we're building a team that can achieve anything soon enough. We simply cannot afford to lose him. No use getting £150m or whatever. He's priceless to Chelsea.
-
They are, aren't they. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I think it'll be hilarious to see Wenger get one over on Mou. Also for Lukaku to play like a donkey. I just wanna see the reactions!

Complete domination after shaky moments early. Moses in particular improved massively after some jitters early on. Kante, Hazard, and Christensen were fantastic. Cesc, Moses, and Morata were very good, and I think it's time for people to stop the moaning and disrespect with Drinkwater. Another very solid performance from him. He doesn't look out of place in a 3 man midfield at all here. Gives maximum effort and pops up in very dangerous positions. He is also very safe in possision and doesn't take needless risks. Now hoping for a draw or Arse win tomorrow.
-
I said it a few weeks ago and I'll say it again - all PL referees are being told not to give fouls on Morata unless it's a bookable offense. He gets fouled constantly and they just refuse to blow the whistle. I counted 3 times that half alone where he was fouled and got nothing. Maddening. Anyways, all we really have to do to improve is to sharpen up our defending. Lot of sloppy passes early in the game that directly lead to all of their chances. Going forward we were always dangerous. Just keep doing what we've been doing while being calmer at the back.
-
Can we please stop giving the ball away in our own half?
-
MY FUCKING GOD All our own doing, too. What the fuck are we doing!?
-
So many fucking sloppy passes!
-
This Newcastle team is SO mediocre looking. Only way they should be giving us a game is if we're way off the pace and are sleepwalking. COME ON, CHELSEA!
-
Better to have 3 in midfield and be safe than have Cesc in a midfield 2 against a team near the bottom who will be desperate for points, no?
-
Good team. I hope Moses is sharper than when he came on against Swansea and gave the ball away cheaply about 5 times. Lets push them and keep the pressure on like we did last game. It was one way traffic against Swansea in the first half. Would be perfect to put the game out of sight by the 60th minute or so and get Morata out of there but I'm predicting a tougher game than most expect.
-
Isn't Bats still out injured for a while longer?
-
He'll end up somewhere that loves the big clubs leftovers like Everton. Think he can still develop into a good player under the right circumstances but doesn't look like he'll ever become the world class player everyone thought he would be.
-
Normally I don't think it's a huge deal for a manager to be in the stands. Conte is maniacal in his instructions from the touchline, though. Literally screaming at players telling them exactly where he wants them. So yeah, this could have an actual effect on the game.
-
Hopefully our attacking play is as dangerous as it was in the first half against Swansea. Maybe our finishing boots will be on this time, though. Honeslty wonder if Conte might start with Morata on the bench due to the hectic schedule and his yellow card situation. If we can settle the game early enough and not even have to use Morata it would be perfect. Don't think Newcastle are quite the pushover that Swansea and West Brom were, unfortunately. We'll have to be on top of our game here.
-
Cahill's problem is that he thinks he's better than he is and sometimes tries to do things that are outside of his skill set. Rüdiger actually has all the tools in his locker. He plays for arguably the top national team in the world with loads of top quality players, he played for a big club in Roma. I don't think we have to worry about him having an inferiority complex. He's going to continue to develop into a top player.
-
Been great all season. Had the one poor performance against Roma when everyone played badly but other than that he's been rock solid. I love Toni already not only because of his ability but also the passion he shows. He genuinely looks like he loves playing for a big club like Chelsea. We definitely have the best selection of CB's in the league. Maybe Spuds are just as good when they're all fit.
