Pedro doing well pressing and closing down but not doing much where we need him to. Not really getting service into Higuain at all as a team. CHO could come in and spice things up. United and Arse both winning, too. We need to win this to stay in touch with them.
-
This could get ugly if Luiz and Alonso decide to have a walkabout as they're known to do.
-
Motherfucker. Alonso with dodgy as hell Caballero starting. Disgusting.

If Sarri goes, our next permanent manager will likely be someone in the same sort of position that Sarri was in. Someone with a great record at a 2nd tier club who wants to prove they can take the step up to the big stage. No big name manager will touch us at this point. Honestly, there aren't even any big name managers left out there other than Mourinho so that doesn't matter. The big name managers we've been linked with in the past year or two are well settled and have no reason to leave (Simeone, Allegri, etc). And I hope the club don't get it in their head that we need a club legend or former assistant because it'll end in tears. We need someone highly experienced in a big league and who has managed star players/egos before. Can't afford to take some massive risk when you're competing with Pep, Klopp, Poch etc.

I'd bet good money that Alonso comes back in against Spuds and gets targeted.
-
Is Sarri trying to get the sack? My desire to even bother watching this has evaporated.
-
Front 3 of Hazard, Higuain, and CHO with Emerson at LB for the final this weekend, please.
-
Fuck off booing Jorginho. Idiots.
-
Emerson is literal light years better than Alonso. He carries the ball so well. He 100% needs to be our first choice LB.
-
It makes me straight up angry how poor we are. I'm now past the annoyed and irritated phase. It's actually hard to motivate myself to watch us at the moment. So many bang average players who wouldn't look out of place at a side like West Ham or Bournemouth.
-
You joke, but I'd have him back tomorrow if offered the option. Could drag us to a EL title and at least kick some of these players in the ass. Give him a short 2 or 3 year contract and a summer to clear out the stench in the locker room. He'll have us respectable again. He'll desperately want to repair his image so surely wouldn't blow up the whole thing like he did at United.
-
I'm not even watching the 2nd half. I'll check the score later and hope we don't Man City it again.
-
When the ball turns over quickly we are utterly clueless. It's our biggest Achilles heel. We have no recovery pace and leaves massive areas of the pitch completely vacant for opponents to attack. That's down to coaching. If we're going to play this shape and system Alonso CANNOT bloody play!
-
Dominate the run of play in two seperate circumstances, then switch off and they instantly punish us. Both fucking times. Just fuck off. The left side of our defense is a god damned joke. Unreal.
-
Sooo, will in-form Pogba own our entire midfield today?
-
I literally have not heard Lukaku's name since Mou was sacked. So he'll probably score against us today.
-
I love Luiz. But he, along with many of our aging players needs to go in the summer. Too big of a liability despite his great talent on the ball.
-
I was so fixated on how casual Andreas looked that I didn't even notice Luiz. But yeah, he wasn't even on the bloody screen there! 😂😂😂
-
What on earth was Christensen playing at on their goal? Looked as though he's should easily have cleared that ball into row Z. Under no circumstances should that cross have been allowed to go in. Anyway, everyone here knows I'm a Jorginho guy. But......I think it's time to talk about the fact that Kovacic looks better in that deeper role at the moment. Like, really good.
-
We are mind numbingly boring in possession and completely non-threatening in the final third with this XI. Pedro, Willian, and Giroud are totally ineffective. And this is against a Championship standard opponent.
-
I'm fine with him playing a strong team, but come on. How shite do Willian and Pedro have to be until CHO becomes the undisputed #1 option for the remainder of the season? I've been one of Sarri's biggest supporters and still am. But the biggest complaint I have about him is that he persists with the same struggling few players. Give CHO an extended run in the side. Give Emerson an extended run in the side. Just those two changes and at the very least we become much more unpredictable and less stale. Inject a bunch of pace into the side and see what happens.
-
CHO must be simply counting down the days until he can bolt in the summer. Can't even start against Malmö.

Sick and tired of the idiot media/journalists killing Sarri about Kante's position. Saying he's "wasted" higher up the pitch. Lost track of the number of pundits bemoaning the fact that "Chelsea have the best DM in the world and aren't playing him there." You can tell these people watch us only in the biggest matches when we've struggled and haven't watched all of our games. in reality, Kante is having by far his best ever season in an attacking sense and in this new position can win the ball effectively higher up the pitch. He's clearly developed significantly under Sarri. The problem with this position he's in is what happens when we lose the ball, not simply where he lines up. That's something that needs to be solved.
-
What I think may happen is that Sarri will definitely stay until this time next season at least. We will sell off most, if not all of these players that have been here long term. Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Luiz. All will be gone. I think we will go the Dortmund route and bring in young players with potential (like Pulisic) and combine that with finally using our youth players.
