  1. Is that €50m for a pair of signed boots?
  2. Yep, seems like this is signed, sealed, and done. I pray the club doesn't make us wait another week for him to return from international duty. πŸ˜‚ We're probably just waiting for Bayer to announce Schick first or something. Let their supporters have a bit of excitement to offset the disappointment of losing their star.
  3. United fans are so desperate for ANY signing that they're celebrating as if Van de Beek is a worldie. I rate him, but he's not even going to be in their first XI more often than not. They're basically paying Β£40m for a backup to Penandes.
  4. Sancho will get more attention because I'm sure he will take the "legendary #7 shirt" and the media will go crazy for that romantic bullshit. But I predict Kai will be much more influential to our team than Sancho is for them. Both will be top, top players but for our team I'd rather have Havertz.
  5. Would be a bit of a downer to end the window with Kepa remaining as our #1 or with us buying a new keeper to "compete" with him. We don't need competition, we need a clear upgrade. Would be almost funny if we don't upgrade our most glaring need in our highest spending summer ever. Can already picture Thiago Silva throwing his hands up and saying "oh, come on!" when Kepa lets in a bunch of easy goals. Really, I just don't want to see literally every opponent regardless of stature playing for setpieces and corners to target our keeper. We had relegation fodder and shithouse clubs with -30 goal differences coming against us and scoring by targeting our small, weak keeper. That can't happen again.
  6. Watch, I bet we'll get a cheeky picture of Kai and either Werner or RΓΌdiger smiling and laughing together in Germany training before any announcement. πŸ˜‚
  7. Lot of Chelsea fans on Twitter freaking out because he's there and not in London. πŸ˜† I think everything is already settled anyways. And even if it weren't he could have his medical there with the DFB doctors.
  8. I think he's going to absolutely feast against the smaller teams in this league. Just like I feel Werner and Ziyech will. Be interesting to see how he gets on against the top sides. Hard to say how he will do playing against so many quality sides since the Bundesliga isn't as deep. He only had to play against 2-3 top quality sides there whereas here we have about 8-9. I really don't see how he fails or is a bust, tbh. There's just too much quality around him for that and his skill set is perfectly tailored to English football.
  9. Looks nice but I thought our 3rd kit was already leaked? That gross red one.
  10. VDB will be a very nice signing for their depth but I don't think he even gets into their starting XI. Still, he's a good player to have for big games. Actually kind of surprised that United will make the smart signing here rather than spending 60-80m on Jack Girlish who is super overrated. Actually, knowing United they'll sign him too. πŸ˜†
  11. Bet we're going to see some ultra shady shit from City to make the Messi wages work under FFP. They'll suddenly renegotiate a bunch of their sponsorships so that the Sheiks' own companies pay City more. Nike or whoever their with will renegotiate their shirt sponsorship to help them. I'm to laugh if they still choke in the CL even with Messi.
  12. Closer FC like you keep saying, @Jason πŸ˜‚ Imagine being a Leverkusen fan and seeing your two best goal scorers leave within days. Why would they sell Volland?
  13. Tommorrow is the day. I can feel it.
  14. Starting to hear more rumblings of Thiago Alcantara heading to United instead of Liverpool because Liverpool are so cash strapped to even pay €30m. I wasn't too bothered about him going to Liverpool becasue I don't think he improves them much. But him replacing Matic at United is a huge upgrade. He and Pogba behind Bruno Penandes is a seriously elite midfield 3.
  15. I think it'll end with City paying Barca a hefty fee (Β£100m+) so they can save face and tell their fans they fought to keep him and at least got something for the greatest player ever. If he leaves on a free the Camp Nou may burn.
  16. Getting basically a whole new defense organized and gelled literally on the fly and once the season has started is probably going to be rough for a while. Yes, other clubs are in the same boat but it just feels super poorly thought out by the league.
  17. Haven't Liverpool and Arse both played about 3 preseason matches each? Seems pretty ridiculous to enter a season with the likes of Thiago Silva, Havertz, a new keeper etc having never even played together before. At least Timo and Ziyech have been here training for weeks. Have a feeling that we'll be seeing a lot of Alonso, RLC/Barkely, Kepa and all these players who aren't up to scratch for quite a while until our new signings get up to speed. Which could cost us some important points.
  18. So are we not playing another warm up match before the season starts? One match against Brighton weeks beforehand with loads of players missing surely isn't enough.
  19. It's gonna be kinda funny when we have basically a 10/10 window where everyone is jealous of us and all the media are praising us for addressing all our issues. And then City will sign Messi and everyone will just stop paying attention to us and it's all about them. πŸ˜‚ I actually think that'll be a huge positive. Way less pressure on Frank and the boys. Nobody will be expecting us to win the league.
  20. 😰😰😰 Would be just dreadful luck if he got a serious injury in the first appearence he made for us.
  21. I wouldn't be worried about it with Havertz since he has played there a bunch. And unlike Hazard or Pulisic he isn't small and easy to bottle up. But I don't ever think we'll see it. There's no way all 3 of Timo, Giroud, and Tamy will all be missing at once.
  22. Just hope whoever it is, we have a new keeper in in time for match week 1. Really don't want to see Kepa in there for a month until the window closes. This Mendy dude has the profile to suit us. He's fucking massive, seems to be commanding and assertive enough for the PL, and at 28 he's not going to be in over his head and inexperienced. Plays at a decent level for a side that finished 3rd in Ligue 1. There are a few concerns watching his highlights, though. He is frequently parrying the ball back into dangerous areas. He also seems to frequently punch or push away what look to be easily catchable shots. And lastly, I have no clue what his distribution is like since it's not really shown in the vid I watched.
  23. Yep. And it'll be that way with Tammy as well. If (heaven forbid) Timo gets injured the way our team plays will be completely different. We now have 3 strikers with vastly different qualities and skill sets. Plus the ability to play with a false 9 in Havertz if necessary.
  24. Very weird seeing Che,sea with a smaller, lightning quick striker rather than the bigger, more traditional #9's that we've had for years and years. He popped up all over the pitch today. Should be awesome to watch when all of our attackers are fit and on form. Having 2 players with incredible vision and creativity like Havertz and Ziyech combined with two forwards who excell at making runs like Timo and CP will be lethal.
