Why is Nkunku still playing for Chelsea? Offers absolutely NOTHING.
-
Our world class RB playing in midfield and a LB in woeful form playing RB. When we have 2 natural midfielders on the bench. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
-
This is what I want to happen but I have a bad feeling we’ll sell Noni and replace him with Garnacho. Gittens will be our only LW and with Estevão likely competing with Neto on the RW and João Pedro probably competing with Palmer centrally behind the striker, Maresca may opt for another LW instead of Kudus who likes the central area. Then we’d have 2 natural players for each AM position. Hope I’m wrong.

Even as an American this game is kicking off at a weird time. With the threat of storms like we’ve seen repeatedly during this tournament, starting a match at 9pm feels dumb. Imagine another multi hour delay pushing this match past midnight on a massive holiday weekend here no less. Stupid logistics from FIFA as per.
-
Sure have been quick to punish us yet City and all their shit is still dragging on. I realize one is UEFA and the other is PL, but still.
-
United have apparently announced that Garnacho has officially asked to leave the club and won’t be reporting to their preseason training this coming week. Fabrizio again reiterates that he really wants to stay in the PL. Chelsea, please…please no… I just don’t know what other club would want him.
-
Guiu & George have loan written all over them. Them going another season getting sparse minutes here and there in lesser competitions wouldn’t be beneficial to their development at all. They need to play every week.
-
Any winger with an ounce of football intelligence in the final third will do.
-
Man, if we can sell Noni and immediately replace him with an upgrade that’ll be brilliant business.
-
So how good are Palmeiras compared to the teams we’ve played so far? Should we be worried with no Caicedo and likely no Lavia?
-
Playing in a shiny new stadium is cool but Everton are probably going to be dogshit and in the bottom half again. They were apparently demanding £70m+ before he signed this new deal. Now if Everton stink again for the next year or two and some big club comes in for him he has likely priced himself out of a move.
-
Would be silly to pay £55m, do his medical, and then let him continue playing for Dortmund where he could break a leg or something.
-
Now we wait to see how or where Maresca deploys him. Could be any of 3-4 positions so it’s hard to know what to expect.
-
Didn’t expect that before the Gittens announcement. Didn’t Gittens have his medical like Saturday afternoon? Wonder what the holdup is.
-
I see we’re continuing the trend of recent transfer windows of signing players and then not seeing an announcement for like a week afterwards.
-
Why would a player like this who is sought after by a bunch of top clubs happily tie selves long term to one of the worst run clubs in the league? Feels like one of those situations where now if a massive club comes in for him in a year or two he’ll get mad that Everton’s demand is too high when it’s his own fault for signing a new deal.
-
Badiashile looks like he just picked up a hamstring injury against Benfica and left the stadium on crutches. I doubt anyone would go near him now.
-
I’d genuinely be shocked if we went and got another CB and especially a super expensive one. Not because we couldn’t use a top one but bevause we have so many CB’s currently and there aren’t really any rumors of any of them leaving at the moment. We have Tosin, Trev, Fofana, Colwill, Badiashile, and Sarr as what you would call our currently assumed first team CB’s. Then Anselmino who we don’t know where he stands. Where is there room for a top level CB to come in with all these guys here? If you assume Colwill is now nailed on as the starting LCB, if we go out and spend big on a new CB it would be a RCB who would be expected to go straight in to the XI. If that’s the case we’d then have FOUR CB’s that all play almost exclusively on the right side. There’s no way that’s viable and multiple really solid players will never be playing. Surely a new CB kinda only makes sense if at least 2 of our current lot are sold/loaned OR we suddenly switch formations to a 3-4-3.
-
Was excellent his first season and had a poor second one. Surely there’s still a top talent there.
-
Looks a talented kid for sure but I’d rather have the PL proven and ready Kudus personally. Buying yet another kid who could take who knows how long to settle when we already have so many of those doesn’t seem wise. A stepping stone club like Forest feels perfect for him.
-
The Garnacho rumors are like a giant log of shit that refuses to flush.
-
My issue with Madueke is that it feels like he just is what he is already. He has plateaued and I don’t suddenly see him taking a leap to another level because the thing that he’s missing can’t really be coached. And that thing is decision making in the final third. Yes, he is still a very dangerous winger if you get him isolated out on the touchline in space. He is a great outlet if you’re being pinned back by an opposing press or if there’s a quick turnover in midfield. But once he actually gets near the box he is incredibly frustrating. He also has far too many games where you don’t even realize he’s on the pitch because he’s so ineffectual. So again, I think he’d be solid somewhere else and you’d probably have a portion of our fanbase saying we shouldn’t have sold him but I’d get rid in a heartbeat if we can nearly double what we paid for him.
-
I’d bite their hand off if they want Madueke. I’m sure he’ll have sporadic flashes of brilliance there like he has here but he will inevitably stink it up more often than not. If we can make a sizable profit on him whilst simultaneously stopping Arsenal getting an actual top winger it would be fantastic business.
-
Kudus isn’t a natural winger so I’m interested to see where he plays if he goes to Spuds since Maddison plays centrally.
-
They’re probably trying to haggle Brentford into letting them pay in 5 installments or something.
