I have no idea why Conte didn’t wait until the end of the season to jump back in. Could probably have had the choice between several top jobs with amazing players. This Spuds side is SHIT and he’ll have a mighty struggle on his hands just to get them to an average level, never mind a top 4 team.
I remember when Everton a couple of years ago (or maybe it was last season?) were on a horrible run and sacked their manager just before playing us. And then we got hammered by Duncan Ferguson the caretaker manager.
Let us hope Tuchel’s Chelsea is different.
Well at least they’ll still have an amateur clown in charge against us to add to their injury/suspended list.
They surely can’t be as embarrassingly terrible against us as they have done, though. The players got what they wanted with Ole going so they’ll put in a shift now.
They’ll still be without Maguire, Pogba, probably Varane, and still have a shit midfield and defense. Whether it’s Zidane or an interim we shouldn’t be losing to the worst United side in memory.
Liverpool have utterly dominated Arse here and finally break through.
Arteta’s Arse are basically a Mourinho side tactically. Sit deep, absorb pressure, and pinch 1-0’s.
Thing is, unless they already have someone lined up (which by all accounts they haven’t even been searching) they won’t have him in in time for our match. Literally the only man who is free right now is Zidane and he apparently doesn’t fancy Manchester.
The true mark of a team that is incredibly coached is that you can constantly rotate different players in and out and not drop a level. That’s exactly what we have now.
In regards to Mount, he really just needs to be more aggressive when he has the ball in the final third. He needs to just have a go from distance more often. He continuously receives the ball in pockets around the box but is too indecisive with it.
Dominant first half display but cannot think it’s over like we’ve done before. Numerous times this season we’ve taken our foot off the gas and had to hang on for dear life for large parts of the second halves. One mistake and they’re right back in it.
With our fixtures approaching we absolutely need all 3 of these points today. We go up 3-0 and it’s over.
I like the XI here and they’re missing Telemann + Maddison is on the bench so that’s one fewer threat.
I’d feel confident but this is an early kickoff just out of a long international break so who tf knows what’s going to happen.
Feels kind of ridiculous that Arse started with 0 from 9 and we’ve only had like 2 what you’d consider slip ips and yet they’re not far from us at all.
One bad week after the break and suddenly we’re in danger.
We had players on numerous occasions literally standing in 5 yards worth of space ON THEIR PENALTY SPOT and somehow failed to finish the chances. These are the chances Lukaku feasts on so he was a huge miss today. CHO and Barkley choked and cost us 2 points today.
Extremely comfortable half. If we make it 2-0 early in the 2nd half I think it’s over. But Burnley are showing just enough fight that if we make one terrible mistake at 1-0 they aren’t dead yet. They have slightly more about them than Norwich or Newcastle.
At least that dirty bastard Ashley Barnes isn’t starting here to kick and elbow our players.
COME ON Chelsea! With City winning we need all 3 points. Front foot from the start, I beg of you! No casual strolling around.
