  1. Zouma will probably be announced today you’d imagine. So we can stop reading the same thing repeated over and over regarding Koundé soon I hope.
  2. He’s not the demon he was with the ball running at defenders on the wing or anything but he’s still world class in and around the box. Combine penalties with the number of easy chances that will be set on a plate for him and I can see 25-30 goals.
  3. Very weird and interesting fit in a Pep team. His teams are always super structured, disciplined, and he basically spends the entire match screaming at and berating his players about their positioning and pressing. At his age CR7 ain’t gonna be out there running himself into the ground doing dirty work. Which I can see being an issue against the other top teams. But in that attack and with the way City create chances all he’ll have to do is hover around the penalty box and he’ll probably score 30 PL goals.
  4. Gonna miss Zouma as a personality and as a solid Chelsea player. Seemed like a huge character around the place and someone everyone loved. West Ham building an extremely solid side. In fact, they may have a more dangerous side than Arse which is hilarious.
  5. I see. I thought it was more like a gentleman’s agreement or something. So yeah, this loan move for Saul would be excellent business with literally zero downsides from our perspective. He does well and we have ourselves another Kovacic situation. He is mediocre and we send him back and buy Rice or someone else next summer.
  6. I’ve always wondered how options to buy work exactly. Like if Saul comes here and kills it and we then want to exercise the agreed upon option for 30-40m, what’s stopping Atleti from saying “nah, we want 80m now?” Or just saying they want to keep him?
  7. Fabrizio has seemingly been repeating the same thing with this Koundé deal like 3 times per day for the last 2 weeks. ”Personal terms agreed, just waiting for Zouma…” Over and over and over again. We’ve got to be his favorite club at this point because he tweets about us more than anyone else 😂 Chelsea keeping this dude in business.
  8. Make sure you guys translate tweets that aren’t in English, please.
  9. That’s a hell of a lot less than the 80m we’ve heard about. We’d essentially be paying ~£30m for Koundé after getting the Zouma money. Great business if it comes off.
  10. And just when I visit this thread and read this reply Fabrizio tweets that it could be off completely. Probably due to Zouma’s insane wage demands.
  11. Everything is in a holding pattern until Zouma is sorted. West Ham are probably trying to do other deals first (like maybe getting Lingard back) and if all else fails they’ll buy Zouma near the deadline.
  12. I honestly couldn’t picture this lazy, old version of Ronaldo in the PL. And he doesn’t fit the profile of a City signing at all, really. Messi made sense because of the Pep connection and he’s still essentially the same player he has been. Ronaldo has completely changed his game the older he has got.
  13. Pep must be absolutely livid. And the City ownership even more so. They’d have surely gone hard for Messi again if they weren’t preoccupied with chasing Kane and now they’ll get neither.
  14. Florentino was so scared shitless and desperate to form the Super League because he said “football can’t survive in its current state” or something. And now they’re going to spend an outrageous amount for Mbappe and maybe also Haaland next year.
  15. Funny thing is we’ll probably end up drawing Atleti again like we always seem to. So if we sign Saul he’ll have a point to prove.
  16. Hopefully TT and our Spanish lads have been in his ear to convince him. Because if it’s about playing time ONLY and talk between the agent and our board I’m not sure he’d choose us over United whose team he walks straight into.
  17. I’ve noticed that Liverpool fans are back to being ultra arrogant now their players are all back fit. They act like they’re the greatest club side ever.
  18. Who are some other midfield names that could be a short term loan possibility?
  19. They’re essentially the same player. Saul undoubtedly is better when he gets a sniff in front of goal but in general play they are extremely similar.
  20. Dealing with Atleti won’t be a problem at all. Convincing the player might be trickier. At United he’d be competing with shit players like Fred, Matic, and McTominay so would easily displace all of those. Here he might find game time more difficult to come by. If we pull it off it’s a very sensible deal, though.
  21. RLC and Barkley have no further at Chelsea. Who cares if it “sends a bad message” to them? I doubt either of them are under any delusions that they can break into this team. They surely know they’re heading back out on loan. If not Saul, a loan move for some midfielder is smart.
  22. Spanish media now saying Saul is closer to United than us. So hopefully the club have other smart options they can go after. Just not sure they want to make a huge outlay on a midfielder this summer since Rice will be the #1 target next year. That’s why a loan for Saul made a lot of sense.
  23. Hopefully he waits for us next summer and doesn’t get his head turned by United who are going to be after a DM as well.
  24. Yeah, that was clumsy as hell but a bit harsh IMO. Not at all reckless or intentional.
  25. Honestly, fair play to Moyes. He became a meme in recent years but he’s got this West Ham side extremely well coached. And they actually play some very tidy football to boot.
