  1. Unbelievable job from Potter this season. For me he’s got to be coach of the year. Beat Arse and Spuds, held us to a draw both times we played them and they looked excellent both times, drew impressively with Liverpool. All while playing great football. I think he’s destined for a top job soon.
  2. As he did in Serie A, Rom would probably score 30 goals in Ligue 1 at PSG. Would be incredible to offload him there.
  3. I had thought the Ricketts bid was the favorite, too. So that’s nice to hear. Gotta be Boehly now which is probably the best of them easily.
  4. Very interested in him. Looks like a beast. But is he having a Werner or Sancho like season where he puts up insane stats in Germany and then looks mediocre when he steps up to a big club? We should certainly be looking at him.
  5. After seeing him firsthand, Klopp will probably push their board to sign him and they’ll have yet another superstar attacker. But Nuñez doesn’t really seem like the type we should be after. We already have Kai and Mase playing more centrally. We need a wide player.
  6. Liverpool will waltz through Villareal with minimal resistance. No chance at all they get through. Real Madrid is the most palatable of the others. They’ve already won it so many times that another means nothing to me as a Chelsea fan. Plus, they don’t have any players I actively dislike other than the snake in goal. Liverpool winning again would be most unbearable of all because of their ultra-arrogant supporters and seemingly dozens of media pundits. City getting their first CL and finally joining the true elite clubs will suck, too. I love the fact that we’ve always had that over them. Also, seeing City or Liverpool winning a treble or quadruple would be horrendous. We’d not hear the end of it for 5 years.
  7. For the love of God, PLEASE let Real Madrid win the whole thing now.
  8. It’s imperative that we sign a wide attacker with killer instinct. Far too many 1 in 5 sort of wingers in our current squad.
  9. Don’t think Real Madrid will be able to live with City’s relentless nature if they couldn’t really live with ours for much of tonight. They should batter RM. But City are notorious chokers in the CL so who knows. I said the other day that this was probably City’s year finally, but now I think Liverpool have to be strong favorites due to the draw. Villareal have done extraordinarily well to get past Bayern but I think Liverpool with their unrelenting pressure will easily get past them.
  10. Nothing really to lose. May as well go all out in our pressing game and hope that some of their aging legs struggle with the pace. Just rattle them if possible and make them nervous.
  11. Is Jorginho done at Chelsea now? Seems Tuchel genuinely prefers shoehorning RLC in at odd positions these days. I can absolutely see us moving him on this summer and bringing in a younger, more athletic midfielder.
  12. It’s just so difficult to gauge where our expectations should be with all these prospective owners. They all seem to have something in common in that the bids are being fronted by a “smaller” billionaire but then they’re backed by these colossal firms that are worth mega-billions. So it’s pretty much impossible to know until they’re in place what sort of ownership model we’ll have. Will it be a cheap bastard owner like Kroenke? Will it be a group solely interested in the commercial side and pulling out money like the Glazers? Or will we hit the jackpot again and have an owner whose primary concern is winning on the pitch? The only one of the 4 finalists that I have high hopes for is the Boehly group. The LA Dodgers are the equivalent of Real Madrid/PSG/Barca here in baseball in that they are always targeting and signing huge names and superstars. And with reporting last week that the main owner of the Dodgers has teamed up on Boehly’s bid that can only be a positive. They’ll want to make a splash.
  13. And just imagine, all these golden chances played beautifully across the box that the likes of Sterling keep just missing could be falling to Haaland next season. He may score prime Messi & CR7 numbers in that team next year. Don’t see how anyone other than City can win the league for the next several seasons. Liverpool have to push themselves to unbelievably ridiculous levels just to keep up and that’s only with City slipping up a few times. As long as Pep is there I just can’t see past them. Going to be annoying and kinda sad seeing them pass us in PL titles quite comfortably. 😔
  14. Trent getting repeatedly abused defensively in another big game. Brilliant as he is going forward, he’s no Reece James as an all around player.
  15. Both sides just carving each other open over and over again.
  16. Jota with 15 PL goals now. Liverpool’s third or maybe even 4th best attacker has more goals than our leading scorer. This is the difference between them and us.
  17. City in full flow and top form are just ridiculously scary. Sadly think this will finally be their year in the CL.
  18. Palace getting absolutely hammered here all match by Leicester. Bodes well for us next weekend if we are as aggressive in our pressing as Leicester have been. And this is with Gallagher playing.
  19. Dembele or Raphinha would be the most ideal, but both will likely be playing together at Barca next season. Gnabry would be very interesting but from what I’ve seen on Twitter over the last few days he’s apparently asking for stratospheric wages. But he’d be amazing with the German connection here.
  20. Imagine how sick our attack would be with just one ruthless killer up there with Kai and Mase. If we had a Mané/Salah/Son/Sterling up there putting constant pressure on defenses and scoring about 15 PL goals per season. Those attacking relationships at Liverpool, City, Spuds etc have been built up for like 5 years. We need a young, hungry wide forward to pair with Kai and Mason who can grow and build for the next few years playing match after match together. Who’s out there that fits the profile?
  21. It really is fucking stupid how everyone else in the league manages to sign these brilliant goal scoring wide players but every one we sign flops or fails to live up to their potential. It’s a position we desperately need to address this summer. The wide forward position has become more dangerous than the striker position.
  22. Thankfully Spuds still have the derby coming up where they’ll likely go all Spursy and lose and they have to go to Anfield I believe. So whilst they are creeping up on us a bit I think we’re very safe.
  23. If Spuds choke against Villa this will have been a dream weekend after a nightmare previous week. And Top 4 will be secure.
  24. Batter these so bad that they’re angry as fuck next match against Arse.
  25. Nevermind full time, this could genuinely be 9-0 in the first half.
