  1. Badiashile once again has been a rock defensively so far.
  2. What a pass! What a finish! Fabregas like assist!
  3. WHY RUBEN?! Havertz has a tap in from 1 yard!
  4. Btw, if we can’t score a couple of goals with THIS front 4 against a struggling West Ham then more serious questions have to be asked about whether Potter is good enough. Another full week to prepare, new players have had multiple weeks training. Have to show some serious improvement in our attacking play today.
  5. Looks like all out attack with a very risky midfield. But without Kante, Zakaria, or Kova I’m not sure any midfield is going to be “safe.” Hopefully since Felix and Madueke are in there WH won’t be able to double or triple mark Mudryk out of the game like Fulham did.
  6. Fully prepared for this terrible WH side to play out of their skin now that Chelsea is here. So hopefully our boys are up for this physically as well.
  7. If, and that’s a big IF we let Mase go he’d be the perfect replacement.
  8. I didn’t really mean haunt us in a direct sense like scoring against us, just that if he returns to the Mount of the last few years and is an 8 out of 10 performer most weeks for someone like Liverpool it’ll look awful for us.
  9. I don’t think there’s a chance in hell our club higher-ups will allow amount to leave. The PR would be terrible if we or let go of a bunch of homegrown players like Mase, Gallagher, RLC etc in one summer. But as I’ve said before, with him likely demanding money similar to our very highest earners whilst being one of our worst performers this season they’re kind of in a tough place. A fully fresh and top form Mount is obviously a huge asset. And letting him go to a PL rival to haunt us is a big risk. You have to be really damn sure that he will rediscover his form from the past 3 years if you give him £200-300k per week.
  10. Potter says Kova still isn’t quite ready for tomorrows match. 😔😔😔 Another makeshift midfield tomorrow where we likely won’t be able to see Enzo at his best because he’ll have Gallagher next to him.
  11. The hell do I keep reading tweets suggesting we may sell Chilly to City this summer? I have said several times that I believe Cucu will become a solid player for us in the long run but selling Chilly makes absolutely zero sense. He offers the attacking threat that Cucu doesn’t.
  12. Seeing what top players are going for these days I just don’t see him selling for less than £120m or something. And after getting severely burned by Lukaku coming off of a dominant spell in Serie A, I can’t see Boehly going there again. I really think his only possible destination if he moves this coming summer is United. And that’s if the new ownership is in place. They’re the only ones that are in real need for a talismanic striker and who would spend mega money on one.
  13. Yeah, he ain’t going anywhere until his contract runs down to the final year. And even then it’ll be an almighty battle to negotiate a price.
  14. Which I doubt anyone will pay. And btw, having just watched a video of all his goals so far this season I’m not really that impressed tbh. He’s in red hot form and he’s certainly someone who would work well in the PL, but he doesn’t look anywhere near a £100m+ striker to me. His highlights don’t look anymore impressive than Lukaku’s did for Inter the season before we bought him back. He doesn’t explode off your screen and make you say “oh, wow” like Haaland or some of the world class strikers of recent years do.
  15. Negotiating and signing Enzo was extraordinarily difficult as we just saw. Negotiating with ADL at Napoli for their superstar striker who is about to win them their first title in ages and maybe even the CL will be virtually impossible. Even just getting him to take anyone’s call will be hard enough, but then it’ll probably take Mbappe money to sign him. Don’t think we (or anyone else) will have a chance at Osimhen this summer.
  16. Expecting a match that’s equally as frustrating as Fulham was. I’m now confident after these last few performances that we can defend well but it’s going to be a massive struggle to score unless Felix looks as sharp as he did in his debut.
  17. We’re in a really tricky spot when it comes the the striker position. Havertz clearly isn’t the answer. As mentioned, Felix and Nkunku aren’t natural CF’s. We have Fofana and Broja who are youngsters and probably aren’t ready to lead the line. And then the idea of going out and spending mega money on a new one seems far fetched when we’ve already got a £100m dead weight on our books who may impossible to shift with Inter unsure about whether to bring him back. Think the best solution may be to move Havertz on and bring in an experienced, natural forward who’s in that late 20’s range and actually scores goals regularly. Someone who isn’t super expensive.
  18. I like the idea of Amrabat if we go for him again in the summer. Probably Barca bound, though. Caicedo, Rice, Amrabat, Koné. There are lots of solid potential Enzo partners out there if we decide to join that market. But maybe we have a Kante resurgence and instead prioritize other areas.
  19. Rice + Casemiro would be a very strange midfield pairing if they go back for him. I think West Ham are in for a rude awakening if they think they’re getting anywhere remotely close to what we paid for Enzo when he’ll have just a year left on his contract. Especially since Rice will likely be really pushing to finally move on. I still think we make the most sense of all potential destinations. He instantly slots in next to Enzo and our midfield pairing is set for the foreseeable future. He’d be an odd fit at United, Arse have Xhaka & Partey who are hugely important plus J5 now so Rice doesn’t go straight into their XI. He doesn’t seem at all like a Pep player. Assuming we’re even still interested in him I think our biggest competition could be Liverpool who need a total midfield rebuild. if they strike out on Bellingham (which I think they absolutely will since they won’t pay £100m+) I can see them targeting Rice.
  20. Stripping them of their titles and handing them to those annoying ass Liverpool and United supporters would be awful. Any severe punishment in my opinion should be forward looking. For me it should be a HUGE transfer ban. I don’t think you can punish the players who are innocent in the whole thing by relegating them. You have to punish the club itself. So I’d say like a complete transfer ban for 3 years perhaps. With quite a few of their really key players being 30+ (KDB, Gündogan, Mahrez, Walker) that would be a massive punishment.
  21. No chance anything happens that quickly. City will pull a Donald Trump and have this shit tied up in the courts and appeals for ages.
  22. Like Klopp, I highly doubt Pep would immediately jump to another PL club. It would destroy their legacy with those supporters. Perhaps if they each took a 1 year break they’d be more understanding. But yeah, if Pep in particular expresses even a little interest in coming to Chelsea we should do whatever it takes. Let him choose his own salary if you have to. He could create a juggernaut here just like he has with City. And unlike recent years we do finally have lots of players he could implement his style with. Think about what Pep could do with Nkunku, Mudryk, and Madueke in attack. He’s already worked with Sterling. We’ve got plenty of young CB’s who are comfortable on the ball so we’re set there. Enzo is the ideal Pep midfielder. Both fullback areas are stacked and include numerous players Pep wanted City to sign like Chilly and Cucu. We would 100% need to get him a creative attacking mid like KDB and a new keeper but other than that we have all the tools he’d need. And we also now have the football structure above that he craves with the new sporting and technical directors.
  23. It’s going to take YEARS of appeals and lawsuits before anything comes of the City situation. From what I’ve seen a lot of these charges relate to their dodgy sponsorships over the years which have been blindingly obvious for a decade. It’s insane that for years City’s owners have been able to sponsor the club with companies they own or are connected with directly. Likewise PSG. I don’t think this has anything to do with their actual transfer spending so this isn’t something we as Chelsea supporters need to worry about. This is about accounting breaches I think. The idea that Man City, a club with nowhere NEAR the global following of the other Big 6, has the highest revenue in world football in a legitimate way is laughable. Their dodgy ass sponsorships drastically over inflate those figures.
  24. Fuck off, City. And Spuds are annoying as fuck as well. They play pretty shit on a stick football but keep winning now. Going to be super depressing that a team who isn’t remotely close to our squad in terms of talent is going to finish 4th because we’ve been totally incapable of scoring goals all season. It should be incredibly embarrassing to our entire club that one of Newcastle or Spuds are going to finish in the CL places instead of us.
  25. The one season in 20 years where Arse finally get their shit together and Mount a title challenge every other big club that was expected to be up there with them turns into a shambles. Couldn’t make it up.
